A hidden gem 💎 in Halifax!! Authentic South-Indian taste. Very spicy 🌶️ and affordable. They mix all curries together which I don't like. 👎🏽 I wish they had more options on DoorDash like selecting veg curries while ordering Chicken Combo. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Did not have a very good experience !!!!!!! I have ordered veg rice, roti and samosas. Rice are so stinky and can easily say that they were stored and reheated. Chapatis are the packed ones from grocery stores and for samosas, they were burned and rotten. Though, portions and prices were really good but you guys need to work on the quality of your food.

The food would be decent. But, one of the things that I want to point out is the tipping fatigue at the place. They only have a little place where they cook. The dining area is managed by the scotia square mall. So, technically they are putting the. food kept on keep warm setting in disposable containers with a few utensils and expecting a tip. Most of the times when I go for a few items then after the tax and the tip it usually gets to around $20. The food was spicy but was able to handle with pop. This might seem weird but there were a lot of other restaurants at the floor that were giving fund under $15 after all charges and were not asking for tips. Those restaurants were also doing a lot of things from scratch and giving things fresh. I would love to tip at a restaurant where I use their utensils that they would need to wash later, there is a server who needed to carry heavy food trays and the chef was making things fresh but would not like to tip for pre heated food that I carried to find a table to eat and then dispose off the container.

Very rude person at the front. Ordered two veggie samosa but got one of them chicken samosa. No sign of apoloize of his face. Orderd their chicken 65 which was also hard to eat. Worst experience as they are giving worst customer service and food in the name of TASTE OF INDIA(tarnishing the actual/basic taste of indian food). Masala dosa was better than other items.

Masala dosa was extremely spicy and potatoes inside were too hard. Disappointed.

Just had this for the first time in years. Still 5+ ⭐️. So delicious, light fluffy rice, not too spicy butter chicken. And veg side was excellent too! Go check them out in scotia Square! ⭐️The staff are so friendly, ⭐️portions are great, just as much main dish as rice( lemon rice was yummy too)!⭐️

Don't order the naan, they don't make it in house, its grocery store bought and reheated. It will also slow your order down by 5 minutes as they warm it up and roll it into a tin foil. It looks and tastes more like a flatbread you'd buy at Superstore

Ordered a Chiken Biriyani was too spicy. Somebody tell them Chiken Biriyani never made with too much spicy. Price was really reasonable.

Taste of India is a little family owned takeout place in the food court of Scotia Square. Inexpensive food with consistent taste and service.

Very bad experience. I along with my friend visited the restaurant second time after having excellent experience during the first visit. This time, the female staff was very rude, and dealt completely unprofessionally. It was like we are having free food and even, some of the side items were not given without asking by us. Completely not satisfied and would never visit the restaurant again.

When we visit PEI this is our always go to place; pretty fantastic ambiance, ALWAYS amazing food, and LOVELY staff; we were very large group and this time fantastic Supershna served us, she was totally amazing in giving us the best service. Lovely.
