They renovated! The food is just fantastic! Out of all the places in bayers lake this is the one. Huge portions with some phenomenal food especially for the price. Come sit down and have an amazing meal! Mmmmm!

First time here and the experience is amazing!! Staff are nice and friendly, service is fast, food tastes really fresh and with good seasoning, their garlic sauce, chef kiss!! We ordered the mix plate and beef shawarma plate. Portion is also very generous for the price, will definitely be back for the shawarma wrap! The music can be intense though lol! And bring your own water if you don’t want to order something to drink, not sure if the server forgot or they just don’t serve water. But overall it’s a 5/5 experience!!!

My mom and I both got the falafel plate. The food is the best bang for your buck, and it's great quality! One spot a lot of places get wrong is really dry falafel, at Ray's they weren't like that all, they were just right! Their hummus was delicious! They peel their chickpeas, which is a game changer, it makes it smooth. They have updated their decor since I was last in, it looks very nice!

The best Lebanese food in Halifax. A bouquet of bursting flavours and textures! The owners pride themselves on using only the highest quality ingredients and traditional family recipes. I’ve been out of town for a bit and coming back to this place felt like home! Come check it out and you will be pleased.

Today I tried Kabsa rice was the best of the best. The whole dish was full of flavour. I highly recommend it

I really liked Ray's in Bayer's Lake . A friend of mine suggested it & we went and both enjoyed . It was my first visit . I was unfamiliar with some of the menu items and ingredients and the two staff members were very helpful and informative , also friendly and full of cheer and good energy . They offered substitutes due to a few food allergies I have . My food was really great , although the lamb was a bit fatty on almost every piece , the rest of the meal absolutely was delicious . I Can't wait to go back & try more .

Gorgeous interior, incredibly friendly staff. Got a chicken and beef shawarma combo plate - every part of it can be gluten-free (omitting only one of two rice options as well as the pita that would otherwise be included,) and every single part of it was absolutely delicious. The amount of food I got for the $20 I paid fed me (very happily) for two separate meals. I will absolutely be returning in the near future!

Great place with tons of food for the price, numerous side dishes (pickled turnips, mujadara, tabouleh, amazing hummus, veggies, etc). The owner is friendly and welcoming and they respect those who are gluten-intolerant and are careful with their meal prep. This is one of my favourite places to get take out from on a Friday night because I know I'll always have enough left from a combo plate for my lunch the next day!

You get more than you pay for! Food is delicious, I got the chicken shawarma wrap and it was better than I could have anticipated. The wraps were massive! My friend and I were getting the same thing, but each of us took off some toppings, and the staff had no issues remembering which was which. Service was friendly and quick! We took out, however the interior dining area looked very nice. And their garlic sauce is so tasty. Not a single complaint. I would highly recommend!

An absolute gem in Halifax. I was in the restaurant a few weeks ago for lunch and the chicken shawarma was one of the best I've ever had. They catered an event I went to last night and it blew me away. Already thinking about my next visit!

We had shawarma plates and kebab plates, takeout, about 5 times. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant itself was very clean, the quality of the food was always great, the price was good for what you received. We did not eat-in, but there were lots of comfortable seats and a pleasant informal atmosphere. They have a hot-line of food (long counter) that allows you to personalize your meal as it is being prepared. *Next time we go there I will upload pics.

Best Lebanese food I've ever had! Everything was so fresh and delicious, so much flavour and they give you huge portions! We definitely had leftovers for the next day. The staff was super friendly and gave us amazing service, food came out within minutes! They also serve alcohol which is a nice bonus. Amazing environment, I will definitely be coming back again!

Clean, great portions, great prices, needs more work on the details to be authentic lebanese Ex: toasting the shawarma sandwich Adding proper tahini Reconfigure the ingredient of sandwiches Pomegranate sauce for fatoush with crisp bread Etc...

Our first time here and the food was totally amazing! The portions were generous and staff was really kind and helpful!

This was my very first time here and I am quite disappointed. Everything (except hummus) was old and tasted awful. The regular rice and the rice with lentil was undercooked and the roasted veggies were dry as it could get. I chose the tabbouleh salad and I barely got any and also didn’t taste that good - it was missing more olive oil. The Shawarma chicken was also old and dry. The amount of bread given is too small. The hummus was very good and the only enjoyable part of my meal. The server was chewing on something as I walked up to him to order and when he was serving me (while still chewing and talking) he visibly spit a bit on the food in front of him. Right when he filled up my plate the cook brought freshly made shawarma chicken to fill up the container I thought why not wait that few minutes to serve your customer fresh food ?!

Really great food, however I hadn't expected that we'd have to order food at the front kiosk, watch it be made, and pay for it before eating. It's advertised more as a sit-in restaurant, but it felt like going to a 'make-your-own-dish' place like Chipotle. Otherwise great!

I was there at 4pm monday. Ordered Grilled Fish and got scrambled fish. The rice is not tasty. Skewer is good. But the fries was so dry and taste like left over from Sunday reheated.

I ordered the beef shawarma combo meal, it had great portions but was not as flavorful as I would have hoped for.

This comment relates to the Shwarma poutine(not all food). Don't order this. The fries aren't cooked fresh, reheated. Mine were cold & tough. The chicken Shwarma was good & lots of it. Paid $3.50 for generic small bottle of water. Was disappointed. I've eaten a Ray's in Dartmouth when Ray was serving. So much better. Sorry

Ray’s has the best Mediterranean food in HRM. The portions are huge and the food is high quality, home made and always fresh. They have the best Shawarma plate in town. The owner Hady is always friendly and remembers you by name when ordering at the restaurant. Hady always delivers a fantastic customer experience! If you are new to Halifax or looking to try something new, be sure to Ray’s in Bayer’s Lake.

Large portions for a good price. Delicious falafel. I also had the donair which was probably the best donair I've had in my entire life. The meat was spiced beautifully and everything held together without getting soggy like a lot of donairs I've had in the past.

I would give this place more stars if I could. I've heard about it before, but finally was in the area and decided to try it. We were just going to grab a take out dish, but after seeing how beautiful it was on the inside we decided to sit and eat. After seeing them putting food on the plate, we decided to just split it haha we had the shawarma plate, which was a mountain of incredible food. The best Lebanese food I have ever had, and at the craziest cheapest price. Will be going back here. So often lol

Very neat place with outstanding friendly staf. We ordered both chicken and beef shawrma plates and we couldn't have been more satisfied. Food was delicious and they were generous enough to fill the plates with different types of rice, salads and of course meat. Price is reasonable and I do recommend Ray's.

Honestly my first time trying this today. I ordered through Uber eats the Falafel plate. Very dry, and bland. Possibly the worst Tobouli I’ve ever had. Didn’t even eat half pretty disappointing.

You can get a lot of food for a great price. The garlic sauce is great, the chicken is well seasoned, and the salad and falafel tastes great! One recommendation would be to have softer potatoes because they are a bit dry and cold. All in all its been a good experience! Been there twice and will return!!

Very satisfying experience with coworkers from out of town. The food is noticeably fresh and the prices are reasonable. Perhaps the one advice here is to let the staff know if you aren't super hungry because their portion sizes are very generous (and it's a shame to waste such good food).

Great prices for the amount you get, had the falafel plate combo for take out, it’s a huge amount of food for the price. Added on grape leaves were delicious, everything tasted great. The picture does not do it justice.

Its a great Lebanese restaurant with friendly staffs. I had the Ray's special item and it tasted super good. I wish they had decorated the interior of the restaurant in a better way than it is now. Thats the only negative thought I have other than that they are really good and their food tastes awesome.
