Historic Hotel!! Excellent Staff! Great location! Tremendous variety of dining and food options! Highly recommended!!

Quality of the employees top 100%. Service Excellent! Receptionist, clerks, Kitchen, cleaning, everyone at the hotel The hotel is the one that has to be fixed in some structure details such as the roof and corners. The bathroom in the lobby has a bad smell of urine, maybe cause it is old and smell is like glued.

Nice place to stay with a good pool bar.

Only went to the pizzeria. Ok. But nothing to write home about.

Walking distance to hospitals and clinics. Friendly staff, hotel has character.

Nice family hotel in David. We had buffet lunch. They served you. Not a big selection but you can go back for more etc. I think we paid $12 per person. Children under a certain age was free. It wasn't busy. Nice service from the waiters and place was clean.

Very nice hotel, excellent customer service and dedicated and courteous staff. Central location in David. Have come here several times with my family and always enjoy it.

The beef wasn’t bad, the salad was good, but the fries were too soft even though I asked to leave them a little longer so that they could be crunchier. Overall it was alright, I’ve had better though.

Clean, quiet, old but comfortable

you can imagine that this was once a grand hotel. It is rather care worn now. The room was clean, but shabby. The water took a long time to get luke warm. When discounted relative to competitive hotels, it's worth it. City of David is nicer. City Plaza Hotel & Suites can be a better value. Staff was friendly & concierge spoke English, as is common for most hotels here.

Short Version - you can spend more, but if you want nice people, providing a nice room, and a decent menu at a restaurant, Hotel Nacional is your best choice. They are near the airport and offer a great shuttle service, which is a terrific bonus. Grab a quick (complementary) breakfast, and be at the airport a few minutes later. There is a lot to love about this place - but the best feature is terrific people!

Building is a landmark in David. Beds are comfortable, ac are new. Tv was old and it didnt work properly. Bathroom are clean, way to much furniture. Restaurant service is average and food tasty but nothing great. Location is close to the downtown David.

We stayed here one night when we arrived from Costa Rica to check out David before we headed to Boquete. The rooms are very old. The hotel is in desperate need of updating. In our room we had nothing in the bathroom, not even soap to wash our hands. We arrivedate and missed our rental car so we decided to wat onsite. At dinner we waited outside for the pizza restaurant and the lady never greated us or gave us a wait estimate to sit outside. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. There was not much in walking distance but we found a place a few blocks away. At breakfast, it was super crowded with 3 options to choose from. When searching here, there are not very many good hotel options in David so we ended up choosing this one. My recommendation, I would skip staying in this city of David and head straight for Boquete.

The beds and pillows and rooms are comfortable. It's easy to get a taxi from there. The personal is very nice and helpful. Reasonably priced.

The hotel is old, but very nice. It has a decent pool, outside bar and grill, a nice restaurant with good food. The rooms are clean and quiet. Surrounding the hotel is a Casino and other restaurants. The Central Avenue and shopping is only about a 5 minute walk away.

We had the most wonderful stay. The employees were outstanding. The food delicious. It was perfect.

Family friendly, would definitely recommend and visit again.
