Wonderful Kiwi waitress, she was so attentive. She engaged so well with us and our 6 month old son. He absolutely loved her. Nice to be warmly welcomed as a young family and accommodated with ease. The food was divine, bread and butter was freshly made and so good. Delicious oysters and generous charcuterie. Our Pork Belly for mains were cooked perfectly, with crispy crackling. Couldn’t be more impressed!

We absolutely loved the food here, and found some dishes and cocktails that were quite unique. Everything was fresh and flavourful, and the serves were generous. The staff all appeared genuinely friendly and happy, not just when they were attending to customers.

Sensational historic gastro pub. Meals are a little pricey but you get what you pay for! Meals are hearty and sizable, but still refined. Wonderful cocktails and wine list. Do yourself the favour - just make sure you book!

Lovely lunch with friends from interstate on a wet day. The lamb shoulder was delicious - only wish we didn’t have to leave for the 2pm sitting.

Very friendly service. The pork belly tasted good but was a little hard to negotiate - very tough crackling. The oysters weren't fresh and could have come with a nice dressing rather than just a slice of lemon. Still, a good option for Daylesford overall.

One of the best steaks you’ll ever have! We always love coming here when in town and the food and service is outstanding. It was also incredibly generous of you to host Serge’s wake on Thursday - it was a lovely farewell to a much loved man.

We spent an afternoon into evening here, with drinks in the bar and then dinner. It's a lovely space with really welcoming staff. We had a gorgeous bottle of Pinot, and both the lamb and venison pot pie were delicious. We even won a raffle prize which was a lovely surprise ☺️

Highly recommend the service at the pub. We called ahead to let them know that we would be running late so they moved our reservation accordingly. Arrived and ordered just before kitchen closes at 2.45pm. Love the moody decor though the food a tad too salty for me. Special shout out to the staff member that went outside to call my friends to let them know the food is ready (Daylesford is still in 3G), but also given us a heads up that the outside patio is available if we want to continue drinking when the dining room was closing. Exceptional service on the long weekend, after a rush service too.

Dinner here was simply devine! The staff were so welcoming and the food was amazing. A lovely old country pub charm with a new age menu - love this place!

As a family, we often visit Daylesford, a place known for its distinctive dining experiences. On our last trip, we decided to have dinner at the Farmers Arms Hotel Daylesford, but regretfully, our experience was a letdown. We ordered some of the signature dishes, such as the pricey ribeye steak, but the flavor and ingredients were mediocre at best. Given the premium pricing, we expected a higher standard of quality. The portion sizes left something to be desired. As a matter of fact, due to the small servings, I had to order an extra side of roasted potatoes just to feel satiated. The kids' meal, a staple of fish and chips, also failed to impress. Our little one didn't seem to enjoy it much. While this may just be our perspective, and others might have a different experience. Perhaps some improvement in both the quality of the food and the portion sizes would significantly enhance the dining experience.

Had Sunday lunch at this lovely pub. The main bar is a gorgeous mix of traditional pub brought into the 21st century, filled with light and warmth. The food was delicious and so nice to have a pub meal that stretched beyond the realms of the dull schnitzel and parmi most pubs lazily resort to. Good to also know the food is sourced locally and sustainably. We were lucky to wait a while and eat at the bar for lunch but suggest you book- particularly at the weekend. The bar area is very pleasant to eat - actually a little less frenetic than the dining room. Very much recommend this establishment if you are visiting Daylesford- for food or even just to stop by for a drink

We called into the hotel mid afternoon and enquired about a dinner reservation and advised no need to book. Went back at 7.30pm only to be told we would have to wait over 1 hour and even then not guaranteed to get a meal. The staffer was abrupt and dismissive. With an attitude like hers we will never revisit. Why would we bother to return or recommend this pub. And also discouraged us to visit tomorrow night

I enjoyed a yummy salmon dish, a nice wine and a desert here last Sunday evening. Met some interesting people at the bar (had two conversations) got looked after by all the team especially Alan the very friendly barman with great hospitality skills. Love the decor and the building itself. I’ll be back after packing up my Station Market stall that I attend fortnightly. Well done and thanks!

Found this amazing place on Google whilst spending the day in Daylesford. As you do with most pubs, you expect a pretty average meal experience, with the typical dishes on the menu and nothing really to rave about… this pub is not that! The restaurant was already booked out when we arrived, so we took a table in the main bar area, had a lovely glass of Malbec and waited for the kitchen to open. We were then kindly seated in the dining room as a booking wasn’t coming in until 7.30pm. I ordered the pork belly and my friend has the seafood pasta. Both dishes were outstanding - cooked to perfection! The dessert was very different and delicious as well. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

The Farmer's Arms is quite rightly a Victorian institution and a must visit destination for all pub-loving visitors to Daylesford. it comes into its own in the colder months and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The wood paneling and other vintage interiors evoke a lovely nostalgia. The service is exceptional and the food and drinks menu high quality. I've visited a couple of times on trips to the area and always had a great night. Even when things don't go to plan, there is a no quibble attitude from staff who will quickly and painlessly solve any problems.

This was our first visit to Farmers Arms Hotel and we will definitely be back. The pork belly was succulent with crispy skin, and a good portion size. The venison pot pie was a great winter-warming meal, with excellent pasty. There was a great selection of drinks and the service was excellent.

Very good food and great atmosphere for family friendly. We came here for dinner on a Friday night as part of our family trip and loved it, they out family's in a certain section so that the vibe is consistent for everyone while people who want to have a drink have a separate area. Staff were very genuine and down to earth and food was amazing, great flavours and great portions. A very worthy hearty meal. Steak was great, slow cooked beef was tender and veggies were cooked well, super flavoursome.
