It had been years since I last stopped at Hasty Tasty, and I had been longing for their Poor Man's Cabbage Rolls! I usually got mashed potatoes to go with it, but this time I thought I would try the potato skins with sour cream and the pineapple with cottage cheese. I was served a homemade slice of bread with a small scoop of soft butter on top (my grandpa would have loved it!), and I even chose a piece of chocolate pie with homemade whipped cream on top for dessert! Service was excellent, and Hasty Tasty truly lives up to its name! It has that "old time nostalgia"-- from local antiques to the music of yesteryear! I even got to hug "Mama June" before I left!! 😀

What a great place. Dinner was great and the atmosphere was good. However the server was fantastic.

Seriously loved our experience here from the absolutely wonderful service by Natalie to the home style cooking , everything we got was so tasty lol . Definitely will be back to try lunch one day . We had the 6oz ribeye steak , eggs , biscuits and gravy. The country fried steak and eggs with toast and a kids french toast with bacon . If you are looking for a old school diner experience with friendly people this is a must try.

This place is by far the best place to go for breakfast. I went around 9:30 to 10:30 Friday morning and it wasn’t too packed. You walk right, in choose your seat then they’ll serve you right away. I had a waffle that was soft, fluffy, and hot with a choice of A topping (I choose strawberries and whipped cream) and a side of sausage links. 10/10

This place opened in 1952 and it is a step back in time. The music and decor is wonderfully vintage. The food was homemade and amazing. Our waitress was a delight.

Been serving up food in the same spot since 1952 that 69 yrs & counting. A great spot for morning breakfast, but they also serve other foods all day long. This meal right here is only 13$ - 3 eggs, 3 bacon, 2 sausage, home fries & a plate of biscuits & gravy, what a heck of a deal. Everything tasted great, bacon crispy, home fries crispy, chocolate milk was great, eggs cooked perfectly. YUM

Overall five star afternoon breakfast experience. Wait staff went out of their way to ensure we had what we asked for. Restaurant is very very 50s hometown dining, but still we felt cozy, welcomed, and cared for. Would highly recommend to all.

This place has been in Dayton since 1952 & for whatever reason we haven't eaten here until this week. I got the 2 piece Fried Chicken Snack (breast & wing) Fries(which were cooked to order & were hot)& Slaw & it was some of the best Fried Chicken I've had in a restaurant in a long time. My husband had the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich & Baked Potato & Slaw. He loved his sandwich & the tenderloin wasn't real thin like a lot of places, & he liked it better. The servers are very friendly & we will definitely be going back. You should try this place. The Fried Chicken is worth the trip.

Cute little old fashioned diner. Great food, good service, and reasonable prices. I travel a lot for work, so I prefer the mom and pop places. Don’t miss Hasty tasty pancake house. It’s looks crazy busy all the time, but it’s a large restaurant and the wait is minimal.

This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants. But our recent visit was extraordinary! Our waitress was filling in for someone else, but went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Good was good but service was over the top! Love the old timey dining experience.

Probably one of the best breakfast places I've been to. Kinda made me feel like I was in a Quentin Tarantino movie talking with people and ordering, the overall atmosphere is awesome. Service was fast and everything came out perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Food is always hot and good. Waitresses are always smiling and happy. Every time I go with my son she gives him quarters for the play machine. It makes him so excited and happy. We passed it on and gave some quarters to another little boy in the same seating area.

My family has been dining here for three generations! I love coming here and enjoying the great atmosphere with history all around me! This food is amazing even down to the jello, which I devour every time! I highly recommend this amazing place. Hasty Tasty will always hold a special place in my heart!

Best breakfast in town. Waitresses are friendly efficient, and never let your coffee cup run dry. Best Ladies to serve you and always willing to make your time there enjoyable.

My husband and I went here for the first time today. I saw good reviews and thought we’d try it. My husband and I did not like it. He got the bacon cheese burger and usually most places, they come with fries but they charged an extra $3 for fries. The fries did not have a lot of flavor. The burger was bland and it was grey, my husband asked if it was a beef patty because he said it didn’t look or taste like beef. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was not very good, it just was like the cheap bland ones back in middle school. The waffle wasn’t bad, but it’s hard to mess up a waffle. The waitress wasn’t attentive, my husband had to ask for a drink refill multiple times. I liked how it was old fashioned inside but overall the food wasn’t good and neither was our service.

Good food. Reasonable prices. Great service. The place is like a passage through time. Heather was the best server I have ever had.

Love the feel and aesthetic of this place, staff is always so kind and it’s clean.. however the food is kinda bland sometimes and I ordered a chopped sirloin dinner with 2 eggs and toast and green beans and potato skins as the sides and they forgot my chopped sirloin and green beans.. I called and they were more than happy to replace the missing items, but ended up giving me a regular sirloin which I won’t complain about because I’ve worked in the food industry and I understand how it can be at times!!! Overall throw some salt and pepper in there and keep being amazing!

Amazing as always. They live up to the name. Both quick and efficient service. Glass empty? Filled, need more coffee and 6 other things because you are particular as hell, done. Warmed syrup and perfect orange juice. I mean this place hasn't changed in years! Which tells me that they know breakfast food. Is there a 6th star?

A great spot for good ol' cheap diner food! Service was attentive and quick, food came out fast and was great. I walked out of my first experience there saying, "wow, that really was hasty and tasty." If you need a quick bite with a TON of options, check this place out.

Went here with some family. Food was good and affordable. Staff were friendly, place was pretty packed though but it has a nice atmosphere. Pretty good breakfast place, all things considering.

Atmosphere at this little diner was impeccable. I had a Tasty Burger onion rings coleslaw and homemade pumpkin pie. The food was nothing too exciting, but the service was very fast, and oh my gosh that was the best pumpkin pie I have ever had in my entire 22 years. I'd go there just for the pie if I get the chance to again.

Food was delicious. Service was fast. Heather (server) made the entire experience lots of fun. Can't wait to return and try waffle with apple filling and caramel sauce. Choc chip (left pic) and cinnamon raisin(right pic) waffle were delicious. Excellent

Always good food and great prices. The workers are kind and on top of things, always filling your coffee. Missing 1 star due to every time I've been in my water never gets refilled - 1 small glass and I can never get any more.

I go here very often. The food is okay, not crazy about it. The staff I’m used to doesn’t work there anymore to my knowledge, a lot of new faces. But everyone is super nice, always good service. They’re sweet to my kids and 50/50 they randomly give my kid’s quarters for the “egg machine” and they make you feel at home. I Always tip and always come back

The food was great (spinach omelette with Swiss cheese, waffle), the service was great (Karen), the manager/owner is rude (Locals told me he is 'Bunny'. They said he frequently behaves that way). He was unwelcoming. Didn't say a word to us except to interrupt me when I was asking to the waitress for something. Didn't apologize. No hello, no goodbye, no "thanks for coming". He seemed rude to the waitress too.

Gross. That pretty much says it all but I can say more. Booths are ripped. Everything looks grimy. Coffee cups on the table had pieces of food stuck to them. Food is cheap but low quality (burger was very skinny, salad was literally plain iceberg lettuce). Ranch dressing tasted rancid. Asked for Italian and it was like a weird plain oil. Maybe they make their own? But it was also disgusting. I wouldn't eat here again.

Ordered the pork chop dinner was low grade of meat thin nasty and tasteless. Mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless. Green beans nasty and tasteless. Sweet tea weak and no taste also. Had been since 2017 since I'd ate here and severely disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone or to ever come back. Signed, Disappointed

Several months ago we came here on a whim, as I had seen the place a thousand times driving past on Rt 35. I had heard that it was good, but I was still surprised at the level of service and the quality of the food. The staff is top notch and food comes out super fast! Consistent, home-cooked quality food at very reasonable prices! My kids get up early on Saturday just to get to come here with my wife and I. We absolutely love it here!
