Chose this place after reading the reviews. We arrived and weren’t sure where to park because the parking lot behind it said tow away zone and nothing mentioned it being for the restaurant. Walked in and asked if that in fact was where we should park and the manager (?) didn’t even look up and replied in a irritated manner. Sorry for bothering you but didn’t want to be towed. No booths or tables available and was told sit at the bar or wait . Ok , … we sat at the bar. Got menus waitress came over and when we started to order She rushed us waiving her pen line hurry up l, we were suppose to KNOW we had to pick our bread and cheese type etc.. with no mention of that on the menu. We ordered one scrambled egg cheese sandwich and another over easy with sausage and cheese with a side of biscuits and gravy. My dry rye toast arrived with two egg on top and some sprinkled shredded cheese no seasoning or flavor. I asked for butter. Biscuits and gravy tasted like both came from a can with very very little sausage. The coffee tasted burnt . After dropping $30 I was very disappointed.

What a gem! The five of us were greeted and sat immediately. Our server, Emily, made a quick job of making us feel comfortable and right at home. The menu is extremely varied so you are sure to find something yummy to satisfy every taste bud. The Cuban sandwich and mashed potatoes hit the spot. Then we decided to share a banana split( Emily put a lot of love in that dessert). So good but so big the 5 of us couldn't finish it. Will definitely be hitting the diner up for breakfast before going home. Be sure to ask for Emily(she's awesome).

After weeks of seafood up and down the coast, from Wilmington NC to Key West Florida, this iconic diner was a godsend. Down home cooking and every bite was delicious. My husband had the chopped steak with gravy and I chose fried chicken. I topped it off with apple pie ala mode, which was like manna from heaven. My husband had the key lime pie which was also great. You have to make sure you eat here if you come to Daytona. It will make your day!

First of all, just walking in, they welcomed you and you were taken care of the whole time! Top notch service and quick too. The food came out quick and was hot and delicious! One of the Best clam chowders ever! Amazing meatball sub too! And in such a cool, 50's retro diner! It was like an old street car! Great Daytona Beach diner! There's free street parking nearby... a must stop!

We had a great Father's Day breakfast!! The meal started off with the most amazing hot chocolate I've ever had. In fact my husband said from now on we have to make our hot chocolate like that at home. The wait wasn't too long to be seated and the wait for food was shortened by a round of chess. I had the eggs Benedict with turkey bacon. My hubby had the chili cheese burger which he also enjoyed. I overheard the server saying that that was one of the menu favorites. My hubby said the only thing that would improve the chill is a little more tomato sauce. My daughter dropped all her food on the floor they promptly replaced it. Our server Marley was amazing and made our visit fantastic... only wish we could have added a few more zeros to her tip!

We went to the diner for 2 different meals, dinner mid week and breakfast on Saturday morning. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was extra delicious! The staff at both meals were very pleasant. Service was super quick, especially for how busy the cafe was on Saturday morning. The price was very reasonable and affordable compared to diners back in our home state. If we come back to Daytona beach, we will sure be back!

It was busy but we sat fast. The food was fast. The service was awesome. The food was good. We were in and out quick. I wish I had realized there was outside dining. We had our dog and left her in the back parking lot with the vehicle running. I didn’t see the outside seating.

This was our first visit, definitely not the last! Michelle is the kind of waitress you come back for even when the food isn't that great... HOWEVER THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! if you like corn beef hash you have got to try theirs! Nina wasn't our waitress but we witnessed her cheerful personality and awesome service as well! LOVE THIS PLACE! LOVE THESE GIRLS! Pretty sure we will have breakfast here everyday of this vacation!

I love to come here for breakfast. The staff are super friendly even when they are short staffed. The food comes fast and the portions are huge. Everything I have ordered here is excellent and their biscuits and gravy are better than mine. I enjoy their coffee served in larger cups ( great for coffee addicts like myself) and spend some time looking at all the old posters and signs. It's a great place to go before and after you have been to the beach. This time I ordered their breakfast bowl, excellent with extra mushrooms 😀

Best Restaurant I ever experienced in a long time, food was so tasteful and waitress treated us like family. It almost took me back in time in 50s when I hear food were Real and authentic! Milkshake was the best too. I’m coming back this weekend to have a banana slit to share with my daughter. You must come see it yourself, nothing like any other. Thanks for giving my daughter and I a moment we will never forget! JUST OUTSTANDING 1000 stars more.

Great food and excellent service! We always love a diner and my lady is a fan of breakfast. So we look for places that have great reviews and good pictures. This little diner did not disappoint. There were loads of people in the parking lot so we knew it wasn't going to be bad. The coffee was great eggs benedict was great and always love southern style grits. We will definitely return. There were too many good things on the menu to pass up and I just couldn't meet them all today.

A really good place to have a diner experience. The food was very good and the service as well. The Bacon Cheeseburger was really good (per my girlfriend's opinion) and the Reuben sandwich was very good, even when they were short of corned beef and had more sauerkraut than normal. But the best were the french fries and the onion rings, really, really good ones. If you are by the beach and want to hace good food for your money, stop here.

Retro feel, but staff was fabulous each time and made you feel like you were a regular! Shannon was our waitress the first time we visited, and she was super attentive and gave us some great suggestions. Cuban sandwich (pictured) was delicious, and the meatloaf was delicious - topped with marinara not ketchup! We got banana splits the first night to go and they were HUGE with all the fixings. Second night the kids got biscuits and gravy, and the blueberry waffle - both enjoyed them! We got a mushroom Swiss burger, the trio sampler, and the garden salad. The onion rings were the best thing in the sampler, and the salad was huge, definitely a value for price and size!

Good location, great service and food. We got there before the rush around 8am and were immediately seated. The service was friendly and fast, the breakfast burrito was delicious as was the eggs Benedict. They have a lot of options for kids and get the food out fast

Love trying new and exciting placing. This diner really gives me that 50s vibe. The cafe itself looks like it's right out the turn of the century. All the staff are super friendly and very helpful. Food is made fresh to order, so it's guaranteed fresh! The wait, maybe its only downside side. Cause depending on how busy it gets ots either a quick 15 minute wait or longer. Other than that, I definitely recommend trying it out!

Love the vibe and energy in this little diner! Was walking distance from our condo so we decided to have breakfast here. So glad we did! Food was delicious and atmosphere was great! Our waitress was friendly and did a great job!

Perfectly poached Eggs Benedict! All to often I end up at places that do versions of a traditional Eggs Benedict- this place does a FANTASTIC job of the OG! Everything was perfect; I could not get over how well everything was cooked. I made comments about that egg the rest of the day! Try this place; albeit a little slow on service, if you aren’t in a hurry you’ll want to go here!

The food was delicious, the portions huge and the prices fair. Our waitress Christine was delightful, helpful and knowledgeable. This place has a variety food including breakfast all day. I had the chili cheese fries and added bacon with a chocolate shake. The chili was fantastic, savory and not spicy. The shake was not over indulgent or too rich, it was petfect and we got so much. It was nicely air conditioned and clean.

Very cool restaurant. Lots of cool and funny posters. The food is amazing. The seafood basket was very good. The fried mushrooms were good. The mashed potatoes are very good. The servers are very nice.

The food was good for a diner, nothing too special. But the environment was great and our server was so sweet and amazing! God bless her. So it was a great experience. Loved it 😊

Our server was attentive. The staff were working really hard. The milkshakes were good and came with bonus stainless steel malt cup. The food was okay, but I have no intention of returning for another meal. The entire restaurant needed a serious cleaning! Even sweeping the floor would have been an improvement. The fountain stools at the bar were rusty. The ladies' bathroom was disgusting.

Wow, pleasant surprise! ... Excellent!!... had the liver and onions, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, and green beans!!! Soooooo good! Service by Lilly was prompt, friendly, and personable! We also had the open face Turkey sandwich, and it was great as well! Could not have asked for better service and food. Thanks you!!

This place is cute and a great place to dine if you just want somewhere close by. Taylor ham tasted like New Jersey. :) For breakfast, our meals were good and reasonably priced, and service was fast and kind. The biscuits and omelette were great, but home fries tasted unseasoned, and like they were frozen and thawed, and the yokes were broken in my fried eggs.

This vintage vibe place is great! Our server Gina was very nice and friendly. The food was delicious and came in super fast. Covid: everything was being cleaned and disinfected. I would return.

We drove to Daytona beach from Orlando, and stopped by here for lunch. We were absolutely famished and Starlite Diner did not disappoint. I ordered the liver and a milkshake, and my husband had some crispy golden wondrous thingy. The milkshake serving portion is enormous, the photo shows ONE milkshake that they kindly served in two glasses for us!!!!! The liver was so good as well, and service was friendly. We did not have to wait for a seat, but had arrived in summer for lunch at like 3pm, when it was over 100 degrees. I literally dug up these photos to leave a review so that I can come back one day. Legendary and well worth a stop!

Y U M if you're looking for some comfort food at a reasonable price and rapid service, this is your place. We came for breakfast and struggled to get through the amount of food. We loved every bite, and every second there. Very friendly and accommodating staff which is the cherry on top of it all. We'll for sure be back.

Would definitely come here again if we were in town. The workers are friendly and professional. The food was amazing. I had the Cuban sandwich which I highly recommend. My wife had the Reuben that I also tried and was delicious. Very cool old fashioned diner in the middle of so many big rental complexes. Makes for a neat getaway from the main attractions and lodging for an hour or so. There was a lot more I'd like to try later like the desserts. I want to come back and try the chili. I'm a huge fan of chili. The employees were great. The one waitress was singing along to the songs playing while she cleaned up tables and reset napkins. It was a nice change of pace and experience from other places knowing the employees love their job. We came here the day after labor day as well so I'm assuming the day before had to be packed and the city a mess with people. It was a great experience and I'm glad we went.

Myself and my hip hugging lady did this Old Style Diner. What a great experience. She had the Eggs Benedict, and I had a vegetarian omelet with a side of CORN BEEF HASH. BOOM. Need I say any more the food was absolutely everything we were hoping for. KUDOS TO STARLITE. THEY BROUGHT BACK A PART OF MY EARLY DAYS. A true dinner with true dine food. Highly recommend. YOU GO STARLITE DINER.

I really love this little diner. Really takes you back to the 50s and '60s. The food's really good and the service is top notch! If you're a coffee lover you're going to love the huge cups of coffee.
