I completely expected to be staying at a Hilton however it appears that the Hilton has given up on this hotel property. Everything looked outdated with the exception of the hotel lobby. The rooms were filled with old furniture, the carpet was damp, the closet doors didn’t close, and peeling wallpaper (the list can go on). Our first room was damp, musty and there was dry dog food all over the carpet. They changed our room and it was about the same minus the dog food. The hallways were not vacuumed and everything was just dirty. No spa, no room service but there were expensive “resort fees”. We were there for a total of 4 days for a convention and housekeeping never showed. I went downstairs to ask them to come, they were gone for the day and then came the very next day at like 4pm as I was trying to get ready for dinner. Also, don’t even try to walk on Atlantic Ave to dinner. It’s definitely not safe! I will say that the staff around the hotel were doing the best they could do, though. The ladies working the lobby bar area were so fun and so welcoming! Hyde Park Prime was also amazing ($450 for 4 people though) but we just expected more from a “resort” style hotel. Shame on you Hilton for not keeping up with this hotel.

This is one of the best 4-star beach front hotels at Daytona. We read lots of negative reviews before we went, but we actually had pleasant stay for 3 nights. We like our ocean front room at North Tower. Amazing ocean view. The board walk down the beach front is very nice to walk around. The plaza next door has lots of shops. Yes, self parking is $30 per day across street, but you can go in and out freely throughout the day. There are no beach chairs provided by the hotel. But there is beach chair rental you can use. Some things to improve: 1) Although lobby and hallway are super cool, the room is not that cold. People like staying in cool will feel bit warm. I guess it has a lot to do with the excessive FL summer heat coming through the window. I actually feel fine with room temperature. 2) Bathroom is really showing age. Sink and shower is fine to use. Overall, we feel the stay is pleasant and worth how much we paid.

This is my second time staying here and my experience was completely different. I asked about parking I was told the parking lot across the street was $7 but I was charged $30. This time they put me in the north tower which I noticed was completely outdated and a night and day difference between the south tower. The elevators halfway worked. My room had no toiletries just a bar of soap. In Hilton resorts they usually provide you with bottles of water no water in the room. The furniture was worn. The chair in my room had a large stain at the top where people put their heads. We went to the beach and stopped at the bar on the ground level outside (underneath the pool), I asked for 2 cups of water and was charged $2. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN CHARGED FOR TAP WATER. Checkout wasn’t until 11am. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9:30. And once again at 10:30 and not only did they knock but they opened the door while I was standing there completely naked. I did report that incident to the front desk and the concierge removed my $25 resort fee for the incident but for the price I paid for the condition of the room and the incident that occurred $25 doesn’t suffice. For what Hilton charges I was expecting better accommodations and I probably won’t be back.

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is right on the Daytona beach and within a 5 minute walk of multiple shops and restaurants no matter which direction you go. It also has great restaurants and bars on the property if you do not want to leave the hotel. Customer service was great. We had a small issue during check in where the mobile key assigned us the wrong room but the front desk was able to fix it quickly and with a smile. The bar keep and house keeping were all friendly and did a great job, especially with all of the staffing shortages the country is seeing right now, you would have no idea based on the service they provided. The outside of the hotel and lobby were refurbished and looked great. Everything was clean and presented very nicely. However, the rooms themselves need some major renovations. Our room was very old, the furniture was beat up, and the bathroom had old cracked tiles all over the floor along with peeling wall paper and a very outdated shower. The room itself was spacious, had a good layout and was clean but it seemed to really miss the mark when comparing to the rest of the hotel and how much we were paying to be there plus the expectations that come with staying at a Hilton.

Employees are great and rooms are nice. The view is good and so is the location. I am leaving 2 stars because there was construction during my stay and I was never told about it. It was annoying waking up to all the noise. Also the pool looked like it wasn’t cleaned in the south tower. Finally, to top it all off the prices have gone up a lot on parking and the resort fees. The resort fees don’t really include good amenities like other Hilton hotels. We pay so much in fees and we can’t even get beach chairs. We have to rent everything.

Rooms are dirty and in need of major upgrades. Our first room there was so much dust on the telephone and lamp you could pull it off with your finger. Bathrooms were dirty too and has wallpaper hanging off in spots. We had chewed gum on the wall too. New room, the beds are very old and in need of replacement and bathroom was cleaner but still very, very old. When standing in the shower you are just a few inches away from the ceiling and the shower head hits you at the lower part of your head. You have to bend your head to wash your hair. This hotel used to be really nice and filled with race fans and race things during the race weekends. At check in the computers were down and so was the internet so no keys could be issued and digital keys did t work either. We also heard this happened the next day during check in too from another guest. So the good things, manager was very helpful and friendly and apologetic; breakfast was very good, good quality and friendly staff; valets are very attentive and quick. Pools are nice, clean and enjoyable. Beach is great. However due to the cost of the rooms and conditions of the rooms, we would not stay here again until the rooms are renovated.

Beautiful location on the worlds most famous beach. Rooms were average. Our ocean front room had a view of a roof and a little ocean. If you are going for the view, get as high a room as possible. We had little interaction with the staff but everyone was nice. Everything costs extra and only a tiny fridge and coffee maker are provided in the room. A few restaurants in the resort and outside of within walking distance. The doors on the higher floors open to a "juliet balcony". The ocean front rooms on the 3rd floor shared a large patio area. Overall it was great but expensive!

Absolutely love this hotel. Well built with a beautiful ocean see front and cabana style rooms on the first floor. A lot of stores and restaurants on the property and I found it to be very kid friendly. Some of its best features include the daily room service and discounts on activities you can enjoy during your visit. The price is also reasonable for what you get and valet parking is immediately available upon arrival to the hotel. I definitely recommend to anyone!! 🙌🏾

My family arrived at the hotel around 5:15 pm on 7/29 had to wait 30 plus minutes to pull into the parking lot. Then waited over two hours to check in! We did not get checked in until 8pm!! This had completely RUINED our stay and due to having four young children, we will not get to utilize the amenities we have paid a “resort fee” for. This was a quick overnight stay that was suppose to be FUN & was anything but. The AC in our room didn’t work; but obviously we couldn’t complain because the front staff was busy working with a long line of people checking in. If it wasn’t for being far from home and needing somewhere to sleep, we would have left.

Great hotel in my opinion with nice rooms that were very clean. Not only that but it being on the beach was amazing as it was nice being able to walk from the room almost directly onto the beach. The restaurant was fantastic and the garlic parm wings and fries were actually INCREDIBLE! In a span of 5 days I had the wings and fries 3 of them. The valet service and bell hops were very nice and great but the one service issue I had is that the young lady working at the gift shop had an attitude the few times we went but that definitely didn’t bring down the experience completely, just something that could be worked on. Overall great hotel and I had a great time.

Beautiful resort and truly a ton of amenities. We stayed in a hospitality suite, with a balcony access. Really enjoyed the views and the wildlife caused no problems for us. The gift shop employee named Andrea was extremely helpful and friendly. The bellhop Alan was a pleasure to talk with and provided us with great recommendations. We ate at the steakhouse 8/10 and the breakfast buffet 5/10 but our entire stay was based on the Oyster Pub’s char grilled oysters. 10/10! We had a blast, caught some waves and were back in our room in a matter of minutes.

We are currently staying here and I would not recommend. First and foremost, the room was dirty upon arrival. Full size chips & wrappers under the bed, hair in the shower & floor, and a dirty toilet. The curtain rod is broken and is very hard to open, the glass door for the closet is off its hinges and won't open, the balcony lock doesn't line up so it's almost impossible to lock, the room lock doesn't line up so you can't lock the door, the down button on the AC display only works when shoved down with an object, the elevator door doesn't work properly, and the worst yet....NO HOT WATER. The only good thing about this resort is the convenience of being across the street to the convention center.

The room we got wasn’t cleaned in quite awhile. The bedding was clean. But there was hair in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall as was the towel holder. Dust on the fixtures was there for quite a while. The alarm clock had the wrong time (seriously). If this is Hilton quality I won’t be back. The service in valet and bellhop was great as was the restaurant staff!! They were top shelf.

Check-in my reservation clearly says King balcony. The lady says enjoy your city view room. I turned around and said no I clearly paid for balcony room. So the attendant states- I guess I will honor that. We get to the room- it’s 2 queens. On 6th floor. I called and said I paid for King room and she made a sigh and says well there are no King rooms available. The room was fair. It had definitely run down. The music outside was incredibly loud far into night. The extra costs were extremely high. $40 per day plus tax for valet. $30 plus tax put us far across the street. The hotel charges $75 plus tax for any stay. For the use of pool etc… Wow. Just very disappointed. The hot tub was out of use. The beautiful fountain was so unclean and trash everywhere. Very sad. But this will be our last time staying. Better deals are everywhere.

The location is perfect, as you can walk anywhere. Views are amazing if you pay for an ocean view. Being a member didn’t really matter when it came to them offering anything. The lobby and common areas are pretty nice but the hotel rooms haven’t been updated in i don’t know how long. I stayed there about 4-5 years ago and the rooms needed updating and they still haven’t updated any of it. If the rooms get an upgrade it would make the stay even better!

PROS: Great view of the beach, multiple options to eat, easy check in (the front desk staff were friendly and helpful) CONS: There’s many cons about this hotel, but let me first start off by saying “ I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL RESORT” It’s very disappointing to see this listed as a 4 star hotel, because it gave 2 star during my stay. As soon as I walked in the room, I found hair in the tub and on the dresser. As I wiped the dresser with my finger there was a thick layer of dust that looked like it was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Also dust, dirt, and rust on the phone and lamps. I requested house keeping to clean the tub and counter tops which they did. The bathroom had rust on the tiles that needed some touch up paint. The tiles had chips all over. The vent was filled with clumps of dust mites. The tub had a yellow line around the bottom of the tub. The bathroom sink did not drain and continued to get stopped up. We received complimentary breakfast and complimentary resort fee due to the issue. Also, there were small bugs crawling on the bed, it did not look like bed bugs but BE AWARE. I’ll also add I left my car in Valet for 2 nights and I’ve never had issue with bugs with my car. Upon checking out I found 2 roaches crawling in my console. All three managers, Adam, Aaron and the valet manager did nothing to accommodate my issue, but tell me it was not them and there’s nothing they can do. My car has only been in their garage and with so the their staff during my stay. Valet worker was so sweet and validated my issue and complaint and apologized and admitted it could’ve been them, but not 100% sure and apologized because no one wants to deal with roaches . The valet worker also stated that they do not take cars with roaches and they inspect vehicles. Prior to them having my car their were not sight of bugs. Prior to checking in I never encountered any bugs in my car. The valet manager then went back to the employee and told her not to say that to me. I will admit I was frustrated and started to curse and raise my voice because management was not accommodating my needs, they called security. While I was walking in the hall, I repeated this is a dirty hotel and another customer agreed that they did not enjoy their stay as well due to cleanliness. The security guard who was very helpful, encouraged me to contact corporate to address my concern. I’m still very frustrated how management handled the situation. They did not even give us a free night or comp our valet parking. Overall, this hotel needs a major upgrade and it needs to shut down for quality improvement. The hotel is run down and dirty. We couldn’t even get a fresh roll of toilet paper, they gave us a used one. You would think because of COVID-19 precautions they would wrap the toilet paper in plastic or paper. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK HERE. This hotel needs to shut down for major renovations. I wish I took more photos but here’s a few. Dirty coffee gray, picture of the staff attendant cleaning the roach after bringing me my car for check out out of valet, and a picture of the clumps of dust in the vent. Imagine if you had asthma and breathing in that air. Do better Hilton! I’ve never experienced a Hilton hotel of this matter. Google please change hotel rating to 2 out of 5 stars. And if you don’t believe me, look at the rest of the reviews.

This hotel is in need of some major upgrades. Half of the hotel was HOT! The bathroom in my room was just nasty looking. Black rings & rust around the base of wall. Prior room I was in I was awakened by some noise. For a Hilton Property I was not impressed. I would not stay here again. Especially not for the price it was to even get a room. Rooms are also very small.

One of the bellhops (Luke), and the location were the only good things about our stay at this hotel. Parking is an absolute nightmare, and self parking is inconvenient. As soon as we walked into our room, we were hit with a very strong smell of mold. I went to speak with the front desk who at first told me they couldn’t do anything except for have housekeeping spray to make it smell better. The mold was so strong that it was nauseating, there was no spray that would cover that up nor should it just be covered up. After getting the manager involved they were able to switch us to a new room, however the manager’s comment was that the smell was just due to the rain that day. The building is quite old and they should not be housing guests in the moldy rooms. Friends had rooms where water was leaking through light fixtures when it rained, carpets were soaked from leaky seals on doors, and door frames were rusted out for the same reason. It was a very busy weekend at the hotel due to the event at the ocean center across the street, and they only had 2 working elevators which left you waiting over half an hour to get on. Not having the time to wait for an elevator, I was left climbing up and down 10 flights of stairs multiple times a day. This is not a 4 star hotel, and I won’t be back.

We went with a travel tour stay, but the service at the hotel knew and treated us indifferently. Not friendly person at the front desk. The room was okay and needs to be updated. They put us with the tour to stay in the older tower not yet updated and the "actual" guests in the new tower. By tour, I mean with the 2 hour sales team to buy their points system. As we arrive, the first thing they say it's no high stress sales, but that was far from it. When we said no, and the pushing with high pitch sales people line begins. After the 4th sales person couldn't get us to commit they escorted us out quickly and the front desk at sales said " don't worry you get what we promised" which was 150k points for the 2 hours of hassling. Even the rep next to him said, "Be nice." This was a complete failure on my part. We did not enjoy this vacation. Not to mention the people smoking pot at the pool. Food is way overpriced. The breakfast is over 100 dollars for 2 people with fake eggs. I'll stop here cause there is no room for all the disappointment I've had.

Stayed on the eleventh floor in a double bed room. Room was disgusting with trash stashed under the bed, floors not vacuumed, and bathroom had broken tiles and floor was disgusting as well. Called the desk and asked for an extra anket and took them over 2 hours to show up. Volleyball court was cover in seaweed and trash. Main fountain area looked like it had flooded recently and a the fertilizer was washed up on the concrete and smelled horrible. Neither the Volleyball courts nor the fertilizer were addressed during the four days we stayed. Parking was a nightmare with no clear area to drop thinks off only space for valet drop off. Crazy people kept walking up to us outside the gated pool on the property screaming all kinds of inappropriate things at my family. Place just looks rundown like no one cares about anything other than the restaurants which were good. Overall, not worth the price. May have once been a top tier but now its greatly declined.

The location and Service were both great. From outward appearances, the hotel looked lovely. The lobby was inviting, cool and gave a good impression. Exiting the elevator to the 10th floor was not nearly as lovely. HOT! We could not get the room to cool below 74/75 & the halls were even hotter. Visited friends staying on the opposite tower & temps were just the same. No ventilation in bathroom = a 'sticky' feeling room. While I realize Daytona is a popular destination, the 'resort' is showing its age & could definitely use an overhaul.

Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. First stay at a Hilton and it will probably be my last. 4 elevators and only 1-2 worked throughout the weekend. We were there for a competition across the street which the hotel "sponsored" so they knew how many people would be there MONTHS in advance and didn't seem to care to fix the elevators. The room was shabby, no screen to open the windows to hear the ocean bug free, and the service was minimal. We were there for 5 days - no service (even when I asked). The hotel does state that they service the rooms once you've stayed 4 days. They didn't. I did get a response when I requested more towels or a microwave, which was nice, but also, a basic consideration. What hotel does not have a microwave in the rooms? Even if I'm reusing towels (which I do), what hotel doesn't empty trash or check on refills for soap etc? I'd like to add a special note about Tia, who helped me out at the front desk....she was amazing!! Tia gave me all sorts of information about food and amenities and was kind enough to ensure I got an ocean view room. Tia was fantastic!!

Just another run down and shabby oceanfront hotel that should provide world-class accommodations and service but chooses not to. They are still blaming things on covid and not their failure to give the hotel a much needed facelift and hire enough staff to run the place. Hotel was out of coffee! What?

  • 2/5 Corey D. 5 months ago on Google
Not sure where all the extra fees come from but those, with$30 offsite parking is ridiculous. If you're gonna make guest walk that far from parking to the hotel at least stop looking like money hungry corporate greed while doing it. Such an inconvenience. Also property was dirty and was currently undergoing some type of construction. But you think they accommodate for those things? Not a chance. Just not the Hilton experience I've had in the past.

Upon checking we felt like home. The handsome young man at the front desk welcome us like he knew us for years. Very polite and patient, he answered all questions we asked with specification. The room was clean nicely but, no refrigerator just a cooler. What l like to most was the ocean view, we slept with open windows by listening of the waves. We will definitely going back.

Our view was beautiful. It’s location is worth gold. With 5 kids we made the parking a block away just fine. Our room was spotless until we brought in some sand on our shoes. The staff was so friendly in the hallways. The person who will make us come back though was Eeron. So professional, detailed in explaining our account and classy as heck. Seriously an asset to this busy hotel on spring break week!! Thank you for making our stay comfortable and unforgettable!!!

Great location. Lifetime Diamond and couldn't get them to give me 1 hour extra for checkout. Parking is pretty steep as well at 30 self park across the street or 40 in the building. Hilton was my go to brand for decades now switching to Hyatt.

The rooms are very nice, the view is amazing, and the people are great! The only issues that we have with our stay here is the room didn't have a freezer on the kinda small refrigerator, there wasn't a microwave in the room, and that parking wasn't on site, but we used the vallet since it was like $ 12 more anyway to park (It was just easier since we had 2 kids and alot of things for them). The property is right on the boardwalk and just feet away from the ocean. The pier is very close as well. It's a very nice place. The beds are comfortable, too.

Great staff, very responsive. Cabana was easy access to beach. Cabana room was nice, shower overflowed bathroom as drain vent was full of sand. Chair had broken leg. Hard to navigate since hotel was like a maze with newer addition. Great location. Hyde park was excellent. Breakfast was understaffed and wait to get seated too long. Parking across street worked fine for us.

I stayed for a week for a business trip and was so happy I stayed at the Hilton. They are older rooms, but very clean. The bed was really comfortable. The ocean view rooms are so nice. The window/doors open up to get an unobstructed view of the ocean. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly & facilities (gym & pool) were clean and well kept. I will definitely be coming back. Self parking is a little walk but nothing crazy. It's in a great location close to plenty of places to eat, shop & the beach is literally across the side walk.

Very much looking forward to our organization holding our convention here. It is absolutely beautiful. Joe and Josh were wonderful guides. The staff within the coffee shop were pleasant. The restaurant staff were a joy. The staff in the gift shop were friendly. The check in people were expedient. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. My only complaint would be that I did not stay another night to enjoy everything. Highly recommend for conventions and conferences.

Nice, clean and expansive hotel. We booked a basic room with 2 queen beds. The room was extremely spacious and could have fit 2 king beds with room to spare in the sleeping area. Rooms are not super-up-to-date-trendy. They also don't feel dated or old fashioned. Honestly, good aesthetic that fits the hotel. The 1st floor pool area is well kept and relaxing. The restaurants are great and the staff is super warm and friendly. Definitely worth the price and would definitely stay here again!

I was fortunate to spend time here for a training for a few days and I must say I was really impressed. The front staff executed on customer service. The bell boys were really helpful and valet parking staff was quick with retrieving vehicles. The room was a nice size and the bed was comfy and by way it was nice waking up daily to an ocean view. There's something for everyone, karaoke night, steak house, starbucks and plenty activities and boardwalk to enjoy yourself. I'll definitely come back for leisure in the future.

No room cleaning unless you request it. Queen bed feels like a full size bed. Room and hotel feels like it could be cleaner. Can’t step onto the deck it’s too small. Parking and resort fee is expensive and not great. Good view of the beach. Close to restaurants. We saw a rock concert below us from our room.

  • 4/5 Elise J. 7 months ago on Google
Staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and willing to help with anything to make our stay better. The location was perfect right on the boardwalk with easy access to the beach, lots of great restaurants and a nice outdoor pool with cabanas and food/drink service. If you need a ramp to access the beach instead of stairs ask to be in the north tower as it is much closer to the ramp. As for the rooms, it was very disappointing how a Hilton hotel has old bathrooms and dated rooms. We rented a suite on the 4th floor which overlooked the ocean and the view was perfect and listening to the waves all night was great. However, there was a smell of mold or mildew when we first entered the so we kept the sliding door open. They didn't have a balcony but you could still open the door, see the boardwalk and ocean, and lean out to see up and down the boardwalk which was fine. The location and staff were stellar but the quality of rooms does not match the Hilton branding and I would probably not stay here again until they upgrade things.

The customer service is wonderful! They were so nice considering my mom and I were looking for a room immediately since we stayed at another hotel which didn’t meet us to our standards. Although - Entering the room, the rooms were a little too warm, adjusting the air conditioner was simple! It got cold within minutes! The bed sheets were extremely cleaned. No stains or bedbugs. We have an amazing ocean/pool view! There are nice restaurant workers who were willing to help me find silverware.

Hilton honors member, although I’m not sure what the benefit is! We stayed overnight and we had our three 9 year olds. We got there at check-in time (4pm) and we’re told the room was not ready , waited an hour while my husband took the kids to the pool. We paid for valet parking only to be told they could not park my husband’s truck(which they have parked before). There were no towels at the pool so they had to come back in to the lobby wet from the pool to get towels from the beach bag. When the room was finally ready, the line to get on the elevator was like waiting for a ride at Disney! We finally got to the room and put the kids in the shower (individually) only to find out the shower would not drain and add to our surprise, the toilet would also not flush! They put a “rush” on our room to get it ready but we only had three towels in the bathroom and we could not even use the most basic facilities! Again, I am still uncertain as to what the benefit of being an honors member is! We frequently come to this beach and stay at this Hilton, but I think I’m the future we will look for different accommodations.

It's a shame because this property is so nice and the rooms are top notch, as is the location. However, I decided to give it one star for the following reason: I got dinner from the restaurant that night and charged it to the room. Not even two hours later, the front desk calls my room and tells me that they already tried charging my card on file and that it declined. Therefore, I must come to the front desk and pay it now. Now granted, it was an expensive dinner, like over $100. But like.... what is the point of allowing people to charge it to the room if the hotel tries to charge the card on file immediately after? Why not just do away with the room charge option? Anyway, I went downstairs and paid it. They threatened to kick me out if I didn't. All I had to do was unlock my card..... sometimes I sign up for subscription free trials that I forget about and keep my card locked to prevent the subscriptions from charging my card once the trial that I forgot about is over. If you want to criticize me for that, fine, but that's a totally separate issue. Anyway, I don't tolerate that kind of disrespect. I mean I'm not going to be *that* customer and cause a scene over something petty like this so I was relatively polite. Would have done no good to complain anyway considering their loser employees don't care at all about anything they're doing. I'm guessing they saw my black spikes in my ears and general gay skater boy aesthetic and thought that I was broke or something? That's alright, they can get in line behind the rest of the haters. Marriott, here I come!

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading all these reviews, I wanted to go in opened minded. As we all know, the front desk is your first impression. Chris the bellman, was right there to help with our luggage and thruout out stay. Very nice guy! We also talked with Jacob at the front desk, he was very nice also . We got into our room a little early, which was nice. The room could be updated. It seemed clean, just old. Beds were comfy and great view. We loved the extra sink out of the bathroom. Overall good stay, fitness center was nice, just small. We also used the 5th floor pool, as coolers aren't permitted at pool close to beach. If you sit at the beach, you either bring a chair or pay $20:a day per chair, we did that a couple days. Not sure I'd stay here again tho just because after you pay for your room, you get charged $28.13 a day for "resort fee". It was an extra $140 on my tab... That's not fun after you already pay $700 to stay .

Good things first: nice location directly on the beach, frontdesk very helpful. Apart from that: pretty terrible for a "Hilton". A Motel 6 is better in the service department. No room service for a 3-night stay. Towels and garbage removal only upon request. When you order a drink at the pool, don't expect it to arrive. Elevators in pretty bad shape - but they are relatively quick most of the time. The food served for our large reunion was ... well, no comment. In general, the hotel has seen much better days.

Beautiful hotel. Fantastic food and drinks! Elevators weren't working great, but everyone was awesome and everything was comfortable! I would recommend staying here. Close to food and fun!
