Just awful. We killed 4 adult sized roaches during our stay, with 3 being in the bathroom. We then discovered that under the sink there is a hole surrounding the area where the pipes go through, which should be covered up! This was probably where the roaches were coming from. The furniture within the room are old and hazardous! I casually sat down in one of the chairs and almost fell through. The chairs were wobbly and unstable and poorly put together, as we discovered upon turning it over. I paid extra for an oceanfront view and the view was horrendous due to the mess on the beach that they still blame on a hurricane from several months ago. Pure laziness. The place needs a total makeover but it's obvious that they won't invest in it. Stay elsewhere, please!

They're really nice and their breakfast is really good! My only complaint is that our room's floor was really wet, and it wasn't just the shower place. EVERYWHERE in the room was wet. Other from that they're great. We had friends coming and we forgot to tell them, but we talked to them about it and they moved our rooms to each other Their beach space is good, their chairs and umbrellas are secure too. Their parking lot can be bigger, but overall it's a great hotel. I'm surprised how underrated they are.

Hotel was clean. Nice breakfast layout with hot and cold choices. Coffee with coffee mate creamers available at all hours in the lobby. We stayed 2 nights in an ocean front room with a nice balcony, 2 chairs and a table. The view is amazing. The beds were comfy, the refrigerator was on and cold when we arrived. Air conditioner worked great. The pool is handicap accessible, you can walk completely from one end to the other and the hot tub was working great. Beach access from the pool and courtyard area with 2 water areas to spray your feet . Great stay for the price. Laundry also available on site and elevator which was nice. Also about 1 mile from the pier and boardwalk which was a perfect walk.

Room was good, bed was uncomfortable. Good location and right on the beach. Needs maintenance and repair, but still enjoyable. They provide a simple breakfast, but we love a few breakfast spots in the area, so didn't take advantage this getaway. The bed is the only aspect of my stay that wasn't enjoyable... At the rate I payed it was perfect, some of the summer and weekend rates aren't worth it. We stayed the week after mothers day 2022

Despite reading some negative reviews we decided to give this place a try. We were not disappointed. This is an old beach front motel that was converted to La Quinta. There is construction going on at the hotel but nothing that really disrupted our stay. The seawall and courtyard around the pool are being rebuilt from previous storm damage. Our beachfront room has been updated and was very clean. Yes, the lobby has a little odor when you walk in but I have found that to be true of most ocean front hotels. The breakfast is the same as most other LaQuinta hotels. The beach access is being rebuilt but it's a very short walk around the front of the building to reach the public access. Don't focus on the negative reviews. We will certainly stay here on our next visit

Basic motel, breakfast with plastic plates and cutlery best thing was cereal. Staff friendly but not a warm welcome at 7pm just given room key no information. Had to ask when breakfast was and didn't know we had to leave towels outside the room to get new we found that out after 4 days with same towel things like that, were left to our own devices. Location was great but our beach access was shut due to storm damage. (Would have been fine otherwise). Worth the money for what we needed but if I had my stay again I would have paid the extra to stay in a better facilitated hotel up the road.

Exceptional, honest, hard working staff. I very much enjoyed my stay here, room clean, pool clean, awesome view, love I can bring my fur babe and there is a lovely grass area with tables we can enjoy together. Beach access with parking lot right next door! I will be back, can't wait to book my next visit.

This isn’t a review as much as it is a thank you note for this LaQuinta. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was very fresh and good everyday. We never heard the neighbors, never saw bugs. Coffee, water and warm beverages were available all day, which was great for a coffee lover and very convenient. Beds were comfortable. The beach was easy to access and this hotel is within walking distance to Daytona Lagoon, numerous shops and restaurants as well as the pier. I recommend trying Joe’s Crab Shack for dinner. For lunch I recommend Captain Pizza. We felt safe in the area. My family and I enjoyed every minute. The ice cream truck drove along the beach by the hotel and it was great having ice cream on the beach. Theres a guy at the beach who offers a chair and umbrella service. We watched shrimp boats and wildlife. It’s a great place to bird watch from the patio. My kids asked if we could go back again soon. We definitely will. Thank you for being a great hotel. It was so fun and so nice my kids didn’t even want to spend time on their phones. They swam in the pool a lot. This place is AWESOME for families and welcoming and inclusive. Well maintained. Highly recommended. We had a service dog, and no one gave us a hard time about it.

They never made the beds in our room even after we called and when I tried to call back down to the front desk they never answered or if they did I went straight to hold and listened to music!! Smelt weed when we were on the balcony with my wife and kids and while we were at the pool!! And we had to shut the door or leave the pool!! They came in and changed the towels but nothing else was done!! I had to sweep the floor staff was rude!! I will not take my family back there!! Breakfast was okay room size good but other than that waste of money staying there!! We checked out earlier than we was going to and the last said we usually give a credit but we missed early check out and I told her why we were checking out and she just stood there nothing to say out I’m sorry for y’all’s inconvenience!! We want stay here again!!

Absolutely the worst experience I have had in recent years. I can’t wait to leave. Laquinta and Wyndham should look into these owners. They are giving your brand a bad name. Front desk staff is rude and argumentative about everything. Worst service to date. Do not be deceived, there is no beach access. You might as well stay across the street for how easy it is to get to the beach. Most amenities are down. Save your money! I might add that there are x number of rooms and one parking pass assigned to each room. Somehow a lot of us had to pay for parking elsewhere. This level of terrible service is new to me. I’m ashamed of the these brands. Never again!! I will stick with a better brand of hotel.

No access to beach due to storm damage. No hot tub due to storm also. Fence separated motel from beach. Lots of room renovations being done. Prices should be lower right now due to off season and noise during day and no beach access. I think only a few lower rooms were available. View of a fence from room isn't very pretty. Go get a hotel a little more expensive but worth it. This one is not worth what they charge. A guy on step ladder in front of our sliding door all day . No privacy

There was an older male employee staring at my daughter's friend while we were checking in, for far longer than is appropriate. So much that I had her stand on my other side opposite of him. I asked the front desk guy to NOT say our room number out loud and he gave me push back when I told him why. THIS SHOULD be a standard. Our room was missing sheets for the fold out bed. Same Desk guy asked me if I had looked around, OF COURSE I DID! Then he came back out with just a blanket and AGAIN I had to ask for actual sheets. He refused to give me an extra pillow, said it was in the closet on the shelf. Our closet didn't even have an upper shelf. Both ice makers on our floor were broken. The room was in disarray, the bathroom was remodeled horribly, pieces didn't touch. The baseboards were unsightly, the patio door track was disgusting and the door hardly closed all the way. If I recall the lock was also broken? The pool had a table where the top of the table WAS NOT attached to the legs and fell over, thank god there wasn't a kid near it! I would never stay here again, never. There is still no beach access, you'd have to walk a block down to the public access road.

PLEASE READ THE REST NASTY NASTY NASTY. This place needs to be CLOSED.!!! THE balcony above us looked like it was gonna fall. You can see what they call a pool. The luggage rack was so gross your hands turned orange and smelled. The area were the furniture was wet and separated. The floor was absolutely disgusting. Everything was damp. Even the bed. You can see the construction area. Piles of dirt debris everywhere full length dumpster. Parking was nil at best . Dog area was non-existent, We got there late left at 7:30 AM DIDN'T STAY THE NEXT NIGHT. If you're into the Hard Rock Easy walk. Only one light work. The TV went on the fritz. I can't say anything good about this place. I'm not one to give a bad review. BUT THIS ONE DOES

If I hadn’t already paid online, I wouldn’t have stayed. We reserved online with beach front access, there is none. You have to leave the property to get to the beach. They said they provide cribs online, they don’t. I didn’t bring mine for this reason but they shrugged it off and said oh well. The hotel itself is a run down piece of junk that no money gets dumped into upgrades or repairs. The elevator isn’t big enough to fit the luggage carts that barely roll anyways unless you squeeze it in a very specific direction. Took my shoes off in the room and ten steps in, my feet were black from the dirt on the floor. The toilet runs all night long and you’d have more water pressure and coverage from a garden hose than you do the shower. Plus the “sliding” glass door doesn’t slide. I have to put my foot on a wall and push with my full strength to try to get it open, IF it will open. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Trash. La Quinta seems to have bought some ran down property and slapped their name on it and are hiring the squatters who must have lived in the abandoned property to run the place. It's a complete crapshoot. Construction debris and dust everywhere. Shady uneducated morons running the front counter. I booked through priceline and when I arrived to check in, the idiot made a completely new reservation and charged me for it (as if I wouldn't notice) and tried to convince me that the new charges were a "hold" for incidentals when in fact he was charging me for a whole other night stay. But I canceled anyway because the property was so run down. They don't have direct beach access. They don't provide any amenities. I wouldn't trust whatever breakfast they are promising because I have no clue where they could find a sanitary place to prepare or serve any food at the establishment. I wish I can remember the name of the skinny funny looking boy with the accent that worked the front desk. Total waste of time.

Nice location and view and that’s about it. Not what I expected compared to other La Quinta’s I’ve stayed at especially for the price. My room in the Keys was cheaper and nicer. Rooms are run down and outdated. It doesn’t appear the owner’s reinvest. Staff didn’t really look like they wanted to be there. Sea wall is still out from last years hurricane so no beach access. You have to walk around the building and through a parking lot to get to it. Oh….the best part is there was a previous guest’s underwear under the bed 🤢. So housekeeping isn’t housekeeping. My dog rolled his ball under one of the beds and that’s how I discovered this buried treasure…..along with a puddle of water (I think?). The white stains on the couch……you get it. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Overall, we had a good stay. But hotel is in need of a lot of improvement. The birds were comfortable. The room is clean. The bathroom was very small. Our view consisted of a bunch of debris and dilapidated structures by the pool. I guess the storm from two years ago, damaged the seawall outback. But there’s a big pile of debris right in the beautiful view of the ocean. It seems the owners would have that removed immediately. It was a sense blocking the view to keep you from falling off the. Back half of the swimming pool. I understand things happen by the storm was a long time ago. It’s time to get the stuff fixed. Every hand rail and fence at the place needs to be painted. Chipped and looking very distressed. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and the service was good.

This was a great stay for my big family. I requested first floor and they accommodated. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was available. Not the best options but hey beats spending more or running to the grocery store. Love that the hotel is right at the beach. Super convenient and great space. I like to mention that all the rooms I passed by that were being cleaned by the cleaning crew I noticed they did amazing. Used real cleaning chemicals and Lysol.

The picture of this hotel is not true! The hotel was hit by the hurricane and as not been totally finished. There is no beach access, the ocean is a fence. When I made reservation the rate was $172, when we got there the nightly rate was $272. We ended up staying because we had no choice. The ceiling had blood and food on it. it was nasty! The employees were not nasty, but on friendly!

The hotel rooms look nothing like the pictures. The floors were extremely dirty and grimy. There was terrible oil residue all over the floors housekeeping was terrible. Nobody was at the front desk upon arrival and the restrooms in the lobby were out of order. Had to leave to go use the restroom some other place because the person tending to the front desk didn’t show up for over 15 minutes. I would not suggest renting this motel to anybody. The spa was not working and look like it hasn’t been cleaned in a really long time. The beds were completely uncomfortable and squeaked loudly due to the boxsprings being worn completely out. I’m surprised Wyndham even puts their name on this terrible motel

We have truly enjoyed the stay. Microwave & fridge in the room, coffee maker, iron & ironing board. Good AC. Good continental breakfast, 24/7 coffee in the lobby. Beach towels available in the lobby. Small well kept pool. 100 feet to stairs that put you on the beach. Lifeguard tower on the beach directly behind LaQuinta. Lots of entertainment, shopping, & excellent food withing walking distance. Staff was exceptional. Can't say enough about the positive experience staying here

The rooms were nicely remodeled. Definitely worth the price. Didn't see any sign of bed bugs, roaches or any other creepy crawlies. All of the staff were nice. During our two-day stay nothing went missing. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

We made a reservation for a 2 night stay at this hotel. This would be our first visit to the hotel and we were super excited! Well as life would have it - we ended up having to work late to finish a job. The moment we leave we call the hotel. They ask for our name and we go to pull up the reservation on email to see our confirmation number and see it was canceled. We ask why it was canceled and the guy on the phone was very rude and was very hard to understand. He first couldn’t find our reservation and then said it was because we didn’t call to say we would be late. Fair enough. We continue to ask if our hotel room will still be available because we definitely need some rest once we get there around 6:30-7:00 AM since we’ve been up for almost 24 hours and are driving about 3 hours to the hotel. He goes silent and doesn’t say anything. We ask again and he can’t give us a yes or no answer. He then becomes very rude and hangs up the phone on us. So I called another hotel and books a room there and was given great customer service. We then call back to let him know we will not need the room and he stated we never called him 15 minutes prior. Anyways - long story short I have no idea how the rooms are or any of the amenities, but what I do know is their customer service stinks!

Got a queen bed suite facing parking lot not the beach. This room was very basic with old furniture. The floors were not rugs and very dirty made the floor towel gray in color . There were cockroaches in our room on the wall by the bed and in the bathroom. Also when I went to make a cup of coffee a cockroach was under the coffee cup. I slept with the light on. We were only here for less than six hours as a stop off to sleep. We had to park across the street. Parking is very limited. Location is good and right on the beach. Many people had dogs here so pet friendly and the pool area didn't look bad but we did not use. I personally would not stay here again due to the bug issue and the lack of cleaning in the rooms. But there were lots of people staying there.

Super clean super close to the beach amazing service and surroundings. We stayed a total of 5 nights the weekday price was amazing for the rooms.. the last day was a weekend and it was double what we paid for the weekday room. Same room just different days. The pool is nice and kid friendly!!! Also the views from the oceanfront rooms is worth the double price paid just wasn't expecting it. This is the best Wyndham hotel I've ever stayed in when it comes to cleanliness.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, the cleaning staff was very helpful every morning they'd ask if we needed anything and if we was having a good time even recommend some places to eat. but before you make reservations be sure to ask for an Ocean view room or you'll be looking at the parking lot lol. live and learn. In all a great kid friendly affordable place to stay. That's actually on the beach. not like a few others that say "on the beach" and they are actually across the road from it. Hope this review helps on your decision we look to go back there soon

We stayed 3 nights and got the ocean view balcony room. The location was great. Loved the beach front access. They offered a full breakfast which I hadn't experienced for a while so it was great. Also breakfast lasted until 10 am so you can at least sleep in a bit. Rooms were clean but I did find a few stands of hairs on my sheets but I figured that's from the maybe them doing their own laundry on-site? Staff was not very friendly but we got checked in and out quickly. This place is also friendly so we brought our chihuahua along which was great. They do charge $20 a night for pet fee but that's not as bad as some other places. The parking lot did get full one night and we had to park across the street at another lot which was kind of annoying but not horrible. Overall the we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
