Our family has been eating here for many, many years. I went to say 10+ years, if not more! La Pita has always stood out in my opinion, of the many Arabic cuisine restaurants located in downtown Dearborn. The reason being, is that they have always, from day one, carried a certain standard in everything that they do. The way the tables are presented, how the food tastes & the exceptional service every time you go in to dine or even to grab carry out. It’s truly an authentic atmosphere & always a delicious meal. As soon as you walk in, if you are graced by the owners beautiful daughter, Dina, she will greet you with the most genuine smile & her hospitality makes you feel right at home. Please check out La Pita if you are in town, you will not be disappointed!

The food was full of flavor and delicious. My service was poor, and I was over charged. The server didn't charge me the special price on the entree and that was why I ordered it, because it was supposed to be cheaper. She never refilled my drink and I waited 10 mins on to go bags and containers. No attention to details. I will order take out from here but I will not dine in again.

Food was great. Service was just ok. As usual Mediterranean food is expensive with or without meat. Bread is awesome, soft and warm. Great Turkish coffee! All in all enjoyed a great meal!

You have a gem with your training waitress Mia! She’s beautiful, nice and so attentive!! She’s a keeper! Ok, to the food! The grape leaves were the best I’ve ever had! The meal was delicious. Everything was great to the appetizer to the dessert! I will definitely be back! The portions are large!

My husband and I have been coming here since we were teenagers (almost 10 years!) We have never been anywhere else that even comes close to La Pita. Even though we live an hour away now, we still make time to come and visit our fave mediterranean place. Between the hot bread, creamy hummus, and delicious chicken, this place stands above the rest! The staff is always so warm and friendly and the service is great. If you've never been, definitely try it out!

Haven't been there in few years. Little worried didn't seem as busy. Service was good, but getting order took some time. No prices on menu was disappointing. Food & size of serving excellent.

Excellent!! The food is authentic and AMAZING! Everything was so fresh and delicious! Our waitress, Kimberly, was the star of the night. She was super friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and like family. She also made us the BEST drinks!! We will definitely come back on our next trip to Dearborn!

I went to this place with a couple of my friends during Ramadan. It wasn’t busy at all, there was just another table or two I believe. The waitress took our orders really fast and it was great service. The food was really good and came in big portions. I had gotten the rice almond salad with chicken shawarma. I wasn’t able to finish it, but it was really good. I just didn’t like how the rice was under the salad and chicken, instead of on the side, but that’s just my preference. Their bread and fries were so good and overall it was a great experience.

Service was top-notch. Food was good. Nice environment and handled a large group well. Personally would have preferred a table vs. the eight-became-nine booth, but since I wasn't first, I don't get a choice. Would visit again.

Looking for good middle eastern food? Don't go here. Ordered 5 meals to go complete w/burnt rice & under-cooked chicken (chicken burnt on the outside & pink on the inside) & waited forever for the order. It's safe to say, I won't recommend or return ever. Big disappointment

Really good Mediterranean food. Our server was outstanding. She checked in with us regularly during a business lunch but n never interrupted..... just kind of faded in and out quickly. I really enjoyed it here.

I have been to this restaurant many times. But it had been a while at least eight months to a year because we moved. Food has always been delicious . Went in there the other week with a large group of us. Had no idea that they raised their prices so high and changed the menu. The vegetarian Dish that I usually got no longer came with rice I had to order rice on the side which was six dollars for a tiny little plate. None of us have ever paid that much money for Arabic food. Unfortunately all of us were very disappointed in the extreme price increase and will not be returning.

We would give our meal tonight 6 stars if we could. The Chicken Tawook was absolutely delicious…. perfectly grilled, moist, tender and well cleaned. The pita bread was piping hot, soft and puffy. The garlic sauce was fresh and super flavorful. The hummus was hands down the BEST we have ever had. Everything was so delicious that we ate until we could barely breathe and we still had leftovers to take home. The ambiance is fairly upscale. Very nice that this restaurant has a full bar. Heather, our server, was excellent! Our orders were accurate and fast. Everything was served hot. She checked on us several times. Definitely a 5 star + restaurant and meal!

For a guy the lives out of state by visits about twice a year, this restaurant use to be my go to middle eastern restaurant for fresh, authentic food. Well, with that said, on my last visit, the restaurant was empty, with just a few tables taken. That should have been a sign for me. The last time I was there, the year prior, the food was not anywhere near what it used to be, from the freshly made pitas, garlic sauce and meets. But hey, every place has an off day. Well, this last visit the food, was hands down bad. The pita bread was old, cold and hard. The garlic sauce was bland and the food had less flavor than the last time. Unfortunately my last two visits were disappointing and I must say, regretfully, my last. Looking up at the decor, there is a think layer of dust and webs on them. With a strong competition in the area, I don't see this place making much longer in this business unless some major changes are made. Sad.

Nice homemade bread at the beginning. Baklava and coffee good but most of the meal was not great. Falafel burnt and dried. Chicken dry and tasteless. Salad full of oil. Stuffed vine leaves good. But food not great overall. Decor is very dated and dark. Blinds were all the way down which made it worse. Staff are lovely and probably the best thing about the place. First time here and won’t go again. 3 stars is generous but I gave it for the staff and service. Very disappointing

Got the chicken kabob with roasted potatoes and mixed veggies. It was excellent. The only thing is the carrots could have been cooked a little longer but other than that it was excellent. The broccoli soup was excellent!😊

Very dissatisfied with this restaurant, spent a while browsing the Uber Eats menu and selecting everything with a baby in my arms having just moved in to our new home. 10 min in as we are all expecting to get food soon they just randomly cancel the order just because of a few modifications like no hot sauce etc as I have children who don't eat spicy or things like tomatoes. They could have easily called to clarify but just canceled the order. When I called them they said oh you can just do the whole thing again and we will have it go through. Very disappointing.

I absolutely loved the simplicity but tastefulness of the food, and waiter Heather managed to keep my group’s cups filled without us even noticing. Amazing place and I will be going again. PS. I suggest the Arabic Coffee

Absolutely one of my favorite places. The food is always fresh and homemade. Kimberly is the best server and mixologist I've ever had. Her wine suggestions are always on point and she makes the best drinks. 10 stars!

LaPita has been a favorite meet up place for my friends, family and I for decades! So, I would give it 5 stars based on food quality, price and atmosphere alone. Recently, I had an especially wonderful experience when I met up for Sunday dinner with a friend of mine. Being a new mom, I had forgotten my daughter’s Go bag at the house (whoops!). This meant that I did not have any purée food for her dinner and it would create much difficulty during my own dinner caused by her grouchy ness. I asked our server if she had any idea whether the kitchen could whip up some potatoes or something, and she left to ask the manager. She returned minutes later saying that the owner would be “happy to run to CVS for some baby food. What kind does she like?”… I was floored! How kind! In less than ten minutes he returned and our server brought us a couple different sweet potato baby food purées. Service that goes ABOVE AND BEYOND, people! I will ALWAYS recommend La Pita!! Thank you so much!

Was there late on a Friday. We were the last group they served and they did not try to rush us out. Very good food and the service was excellent. I would definitely try the lamb and their fresh bread with garlic sauce.

I was not disappointed Chicken Cilantro soup Ghalaba w/ Salmon, almond rice Soup= hot & delicious while not being overwhelmed by pieces of shredded chicken Salmon outstandingly tender and scrumptious Vegetables steamed perfectly being a tiny bit firm the way I love them Flavors are all awesome I was given an overly generous amount of food Staff are welcoming and accommodating I loved this clean, warm environment that smelled of delicious foods & aroma candles. I've been on a journey to find good Mid Eastern foods and folks I'm pleased to announce i finally did

We were in town for a weekend, so we a bite from La Pita as it had great reviews. Good sandwiches at decent prices. I loved the 2 Falafal wraps we ordered. Service was quick. There was a weird smell inside the place when i went in to place the order, so I gave a lower rating on the atmosphere. It was a short visit, so I'm not fully sure what was wrong.

Walked in for takeaway. Took less time than stated ⭐ Hot & fresh foods = ⭐. Cashier pleasant = ⭐ Parking space = ample ⭐. I ordered the wrong sandwich but ended up being so satisfied I didn't care. 😊🤷🏼‍♀️ Thx again & hoping I don't forget to try the lentil soup next time! 😋

Had been here to grab a quick snack on the way. We ordered falafal sandwich and chocolate icecream. Initially icecream was found to be overpriced but as we taste it, it was just yummmm... Falafal sandwich was equally delicious! Will plan next visit soon to explore more options..

Had great shawarma here, as usual. The place is a bit cave-like, though, and not the warmest feeling. Good pricing, easy parking (but not the best setting). A great go-to.

We were invited to an event in that banquet hall. What blew me away was how delicious the food was!!! Excellent veggie dishes, excellent grilled chicken, excellent meat, excellent dessert bites! Delicious Mediterranean and Middle Eastern style stuff. Their hummus is delicious! It's a nice hall for a medium size event. They have a small stage and large built-in speakers. Comfortably took about 100 people. Service was very on-point.

  • 4/5 Chris L. 1 year ago on Google
The food and service are always stellar. I just dined in for the first time since before the pandemic and didn’t realize there’s now a hookah lounge in the next room over. The smoke smell travels into the restaurant which is a bit off putting. It’s a throwback to pre-2010 smoking ban.

I won’t recommend this place - not going back ever again! When we finished having dinner there our waitress was nowhere to be seen after waiting and waiting a while, so we went to the front with our bill and asked if we could pay. We had left the tip (cash) on the table before we left and even stacked our plates nicely for the waitress to take them easily. When we filled out the receipts (merchant’s copy) with $0 as the tip since we had already left it in cash on the table, the lady who wasn’t our waitress but who took the payment said “OHH, THANKYOU” in the rudest way. That was disrespectful - your tip - or should I say your co-worker’s tip - was on the table. Not to mention it took forever to get our food.

Decided to dine outside, it was around lunchtime but didn't seem too busy....sat outside for 25 minutes (upper 80* day) I went inside to complain and was told my order was "coming up". Order came out about 5 minutes later...no apology from staff. Their food is good but the customer service was bad that day.

Every time I come back home (military) I make it a point to eat here again. The BEST hummus that has ever existed in the history of this planet!! The shawarma is my father and I's number one favorite dish, whether it is the lunch or dinner. You will never be disappointed here. Always clean and great place to have a banquet gathering.
