Dear.…manager, owner,or whom ever involved I was in Wasabi restaurant Debrecen with my friend on 13 feb 2023 around 8.06pm. We wanted to have some dinner after school but then some bad situation happened. We were there and they gave us food menu. We have to wait like…30 minutes until of the the staff come to us for taking food order. But we told them that they forgot to give us a drink menu so we asked for that. After we got a drink menu and be ready to order. But then again we have to wait for 10-15 minutes more…even tho the restaurant was almost empty!!. We made the eyes contact to a male waiter….but the reaction was so unbelievable . He looks at us and walk pass!!! Keeps collecting some glasses and walk around the restaurant. We wait for more 5 minutes until we were sure that nobody will come to us then we left and say thank you to the staff. We walked out from the restaurant and then accidentally saw the staff through the widow… !!!!!!!THEY WERE LOOKING AND LAUGHING AT US!!!!!!!!!!! We called the manager after we saw that ridiculous behavior… here what she said “He laughed because he doesn’t know English!? And the restaurant was full house!!!?????” I have the proof that the place almost empty at the time I was there. Come on…Wasabi is a famous restaurant we had a very time here every time we came. Please pay attention to your stuff more carefully. I will come back for sure and hope that next time I won’t get the same service like this. Food was good, vegan sushi especially good but this is not a Japanese restaurant, they pretend to be. Cocktail with artificial taste and terrible wine, 7€ for one glass(2dl). Most astounishing is the 10% service cost (see included image).This is du jamais vue and complete nonsense and I can only conclude that this is the latest marketing trick. In return I DID NOT PAY ANY TIP (normally I pay 10%) since it was already included in the bill.

The service is awful, the waitress even don't look at you, they deserve a cold soups. The rolls are small and don't have enough fish in them. Eventually the food and service and the overated price. Don't go there!

First visit to Debrecen, came here and ate a shed load of Sushi here on the all you can eat menu. Amazing mix of foods, all delicious. I'm totally full and wish I could squeeze in more. This costs about £17 each which is very good value I think. It's a big place also. Mostly tables seat four.

We went there based on the high ranks on Google (4.6). So - it was Monday dinner and the quality of the food was dismal - this is on the sushi buffet ("running sushi"). More than half of everything (2/3), including the fruits was prepared at least 2-3 days before and served as a fresh sushi. Maybe this is just Monday, but I don't get it - how could you have old food for sushi buffet? Deep fry chicken and everything was dry, chewy and dark from oxidation outside. Dessert fruits were so obviously (oranges, water melon, apricots) dry and cut days before - it's so obvious. Tuna was dry on sushi as well, just salmon was OK. Of course there were few items just prepared - some of the hot food, but it was small percentage.. So in summary - either it was a "Monday" effect after very slow Sunday, or just the general food quality is going south, compared to before.

The service is excellent, the atmosphere is good and the prices are expensive. There are vegan options, the cocktails are excellent and the dishes are good but not good enough. The sushi and the curry for example were tasty but not at the level you'll expect for the price. Still, the smoked tofu was excellent and so was the miso soup. I would come again to try more things.

The food is quality and delicious. The service was nice and professional. I like the decor and the ambiance of the place as well. Overall, we had good experience here however I felt it’s way too overpriced for what it was. Unfortunately, in Debrecen you have limited choices if you want quality sushi so it’s hard to recommend any alternatives with better quality-price ratio.

Great service and food. Vegan options were delicious. Gyula, our server, was great. Edit: Went again and it was just as pleasant as last time. Our server, Vikki, was kind and helpful. Edit #2: Again, a pleasant experience thanks to our server Vali.

We ordered two types of stir fried noodles from the regular menu, and they were excellent (great taste and big portions). Cocktails good as well. The food was served in 10 minutes. 7200 forints for a great dinner for two. Staff is nice and friendly, speaks English. Can't say anything about running buffet menu since we haven't tried it.

Staff does not speak English, food is decent but nothing more. We ordered a bottle of water room temperature, we were served hot tap water. Appetiser came after we finished our mains. Very expensive for what it actually is.

I came to this amazing place at my brother birthday and everything it was amazing. Andris is a very nice, good and helpful waiter and I really recommend him.

I would be happy to write a review about Wassaby Eterum of Debrecen and their amazing waitress Vikky! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wassaby Eterum and I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. The decor was modern and stylish, with beautiful lighting that added to the ambiance. But what really made my dining experience so special was the exceptional service provided by Vikky, our waitress. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made it easy to make our selections. Vikky went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top-notch, checking on us frequently and ensuring that our drinks were always full. And speaking of the menu, the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I especially loved the sushi rolls, which were expertly crafted and tasted fresh and flavorful. Overall, I highly recommend Wassaby Eterum of Debrecen to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, the food is outstanding, and the service provided by Vikky is truly top-notch. I can't wait to come back again and enjoy another wonderful meal at Wassaby Eterum!

Food was nice and abundant for an all you can eat. Cocktails were awesome. But the stand out was our waiter Máté he was extremely professional and attentive and made the experience even more enjoyable. We had a great time

I ordered their ‘pad kra pow.’ In Thai, ‘kra pow’ is holy basil, and a signature flavor of this dish. This ‘pad kra pow’ had no holy basil. The flavor wasn’t bad, but if it doesn’t have kra pow, don’t call it kra pow. More accurate description would be, ‘stir fried chicken and vegetables with fish sauce’

My friends and I came here for a meal whilst visiting Debrecen and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. The ingredients were so fresh and the price was amazing!! The staff were brilliant, particularly Gyula who served us. He was very welcoming, attentive, friendly and patient. Lovely guy! Thank you for a lovely meal.

I’m usually not a fan of sushi but wasabi really changed my perspective about it. I ordered bulgogi and a platter of sushi and it did not disappoint. The entire meal was filled with traditional flavors and the staff was super friendly and patient as we had a huge order. The room is pretty dim and quiet and there is a conveyor belt for sushi, however I did not get that option. Would definitely recommend coming here.

I’ve never tried sushi food before. Unfortunately, It was my first time to go there with my foreigners friends. The staff were rude and impolite. Hardly, they said just take a seat somewhere... the lunch was okay but not a big deal. We spent more than 10.000 HUF for nothing. So, you can find much better places in Debrecen.

A few important things: 1. If you eat from the food on the treadmill (the running food) - it has a fixed price in an all you can eat model. You get to taste many foods this way but it was a bit expensive when we were there, so beware. If you order from the menu and don't eat from the running food then prices are good. 2. This place is very popular. When we came on a Saturday during the day it was fully booked. So I suggest reserving a place beforehand. Other than the above, the food is great, the staff are very nice, the design of the place is very cool. Really recommend it.

Had honey & chili fried rice and a homemade elderflower lemonade. Food was great, lemonade was super. If I ever visit Debrecen again, I'll definitely come back.

The restaurant was very nice, the atmosphere was friendly. The food was very tasty, they have the best lemonade. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We have been to many Japanese restaurants, but this was the most authentic place, it was very Japanese. The food tasted very good, it was one of the best we have ever tried.
