Four stars for health insurance is actually a pretty amazing feat. They only lose a star from typical health insurance hoop jumping and follow ups. Which really is dealt with at any carrier. Where they shine are the nice people that answer the phone and help you out! Their team is always helpful and cheerful!

No providers accept Consociate Health. You have to explain to a provider that this is a third party overseer for your health plan which may a real medical insurance company. Good luck explaining this to providers who may not wish to use third party providers like this. Also customer service is horrible. Representatives are terrible. They are patronizing and interrupt you treat you horribly. If I could give zero stars I would. And this is early January. Just getting started with this company. I cannot imagine the horrors that will ensue during this year (2023) with them

Providers beware! This has truly been one of the most disappointing prior authorization experiences I've had in all of my years working in mental health. They give themselves a full month to respond to prior authorization requests for patients who are in need of urgent intensive mental health treatment, knowing that many of these patients can't simply put off care for a month. On top of this poor auth process, they don't have the courtesy to read and evaluate appeals thoroughly; they denied a second level appeal because they decided there was a flaw in one of several points we made as to why our patient needed this level of care, while conveniently ignoring every other point we made.
