Food was excellent, great options and definitely tasty. Staff could not do enough for us. We were a large party and we were looked after perfectly. Would absolutely go again and happy to recommend.

Photos do not do the food, cocktails and view justice. Amazing food and cocktails. First time in a restaurant since lockdown and it was perfect. I would highly recommend. Staff are a credit to the organisation. Also if you have any allergies, they are amazing with you. I am anaphylaxis and allergic to nuts and peanuts, I usually feel apprehensive and an inconvenience however they put me at ease and went out their way. I even had a pudding which was guaranteed not to contain nuts - which is rare!! Anyway get yourself booked in.

Just lovely. Great food, presented superbly. Pleasant and helpful staff and a great location with easy parking. A firm favourite of ours when in the north west of the UK.

A lovely place to have a meal, wonderful views of the race coarse, the restaurant itself is lovely, a lovely atmosphere, staff are friendly and welcoming, food was wonderful. All in all a great place to visit for a meal. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and professional staff, temperature checked upon arrival and lead to our table. The menu was slightly limited but food was amazing. After the meal we retired to the roof terrace for cocktails, it was a very comfortable setting with outside heaters, a fire pit and blankets a plenty. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Attentive and courteous service, fabulous food and a lovely setting. Rare roast beef was divine and a cocktail on the terrace was a great way to start the meal. Thanks 1539!

Disappointed with the dinner we had here in May. Firstly serving flat champagne is inexcusable under any circumstances but at £14.50 a glass that's just insulting. Service was inattentive and by 9pm the staff seemed to have all disappeared. We finally managed to get our bill and collect our own coats from the cloakroom. All this aside, the god awful neon advertising blasting at you from directly outside the restaurant Windows is a real mood killer. As it gets dark, this lighting really creates a very unpleasant ambiance. If you want a sophisticated or romantic dinner, sadly this place is definitely not a place I could recommend.

Great place, we had a family birthday meal here. The staff were very attentive, nothing was to much. The head of house even got my 14 year old son a totally different starter, that wasn't on our menu, without any if us knowing. The bar staff were great and very knowledgeable and very helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Lovely place with great view of the race course. Really good red wine selection - the pinotage from South Africa brilliant! As it is northern custom, the portions very generous. One of the steak portions was very chewy, case of a bad cut nonetheless staff handled well, offered a fresh plate which we declined plus it wasn't added to the bill. Staff provided efficient service .. all in all.. was a good dinner p.s the cheese board is definitely worth a try!

Have just returned from celebrating my mother in laws 80th and we have had such a lovely evening…everything was perfect from start to finish and Lewis our waiter was superb a credit to your restaurant…he could not have been anyone attentive, he was so much fun and nothing was too much trouble at all! Food was amazing and the setting could not have been better for our table of 13 aged from 11 to 80! Thank you for such a lovely evening!

Staff friendly and attentive, let down by the vastly overpriced and average food. Over £30 for a very cheap cut of steak with a handful of lukewarm chips and watery 'red wine jus' (which they will charge you extra for on top of the £30+ you've already paid for the steak). Garnished with literally 5 tiny pieces of mushroom, few cherry tomatoes, and quarter of a raw red onion, unchopped. Washed down with a warm flat pint of cider. Won't be returning

First time here, met up with our friends for lunch. What a fabulous place, we sat on the terrace with incredible views over the racecourse and beyond. The decor and furnishings are brilliant and quirky, the staff very friendly and the food was excellent, we cannot fault it. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely phenomenal. The meat was cooked perfectly and every flavour was so rich, but not overwhelming in any way. The cocktails were delicious as we're the wines. The staff were lovely as well! This is the second time we've visited, and we'll definitely be back for thirds.

Lovely setting overlooking the race course. PLenty of staff, enquired about the ingredients of the cocktails, first server gave wrong info. Food presented beautifully, the fillet steak was delicious. Then the staff seemed to leave us be, didn't come and ask if we wanted more drinks or desserts? Service great to start and just seemed to tail off slightly at the end .. but a very nice meal and restaurant

Delicious steaks. The vegs were nicely cooked. The service from my waitress could have been a bit better...you can still see if someone smiles even with mask on...

My mum and I have just enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea which was amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely and could not do more for you and the manager took the time to go round and chat to each table fantastic service. The venue is stunning overlooking the iconic Chester racecourse with a luxurious interior. Would highly recommend
