Firstly, the Chef's Table is a great small restaurant with some amazing food, great service, and a perfect atmosphere. I have eaten here twice, the first time (2 years ago) the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. However, the second time was not so amazing. The appetizers were tasty, the starters were good too. However, I ordered the "Hen of the Wood" main, and it was rather unpleasant. The dish was extremely salty, to the point of not being enjoyable. Nonetheless the service was great, and the more of the first visit shines through. A good restaurant.

After attending a stunning event at GROWING@FIELD28, where we were taken on a tour of the fields & poly tunnels, and tasted the most exquisite canapés during the tour. We were wined and dined on the same produce grown at Field28 which is also used at Little Chefs Table (LCT), all of which were outstanding! That was how we found out about LCT. Luckily for us they had a cancellation, so we were able to book. The food again was sublime! The staff and customer service were fab. Only one issue being a table of 8 who thought that no one else in the small restaurant needed to be able to talk. Totally recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A most enjoyable lunch at the little Chef's Table. Artistic food presentations with absolute delights on the palate; excellent service as well. This would have been a five star review if the mark-up on the bottles of wine hadn't been somewhat excessive.

From the first moment you arrive in that place team give you a nice feeling. Very warm waiters, it is a lovely place to to go out with friends or with your date. very good cuisine, talented chief cook and stuff, competitive pay and professional service. Highly recommended.

We visited for my sisters birthday and had an amazing time. The service was impeccable, very friendly and knowledgeable staff who gave great recommendations. First off the cocktails and wine were really great, we all have different cocktails that were stunning and tasty. Then the food was beautiful, each dish was interesting and delicious. We had lots of nibbles to share, with the stuffed courgette flower and falafel crackers being my favourites. The roast grouse starter was absolutely delicious, as recommended by our server. My main was the duck which was probably the best duck dish I've had at least in a long time. My 2 year old enjoyed eating some of my celeriac roots and absolutely loved the tomato essence that came alongside his tomato dish (with an incredible sorbet). The desserts were also incredible, I had the chocolate fondant which was reminiscent of a sticky toffee pudding but chocolatey it was amazing. I also tried the honey parfait which was equally amazing. Thank you chef's table for the lovely evening! The only note I could think of would be that there was not huge option for vegetarian food with only one choice of main.

Oh my god! Out of this world! We came for a Sunday lunch. The food was insane. The staff were very lovely and were very knowledgeable of the menu, and the Sommelier recommended a lovely wine! I really recommend the Pad Thai starter, the courgette side with the tomato ricotta, the Stonebass and the triple cooked chips! Really enjoyed the music, do miss the sheer curtains from the old Chefs Table, it feels a little less intimate with everyone peering in.

First visit to the new location. Lovely setting with very nice furnishings , much more space than previously. Proper bar and waiting area allows you to have a drink before your meal. Food and the drinks were excellent as always.

This place was lovely. A smaller restaurant but the atmosphere was great. The service was fantastic too. Really accommodating for dietary requirements. Had plenty of options and everything we ate was delicious, we were so full but couldn't leave without trying a desert! So worth it. Great value. I was able to book a glass of fizz per person when booking, which was a great surprise for the person's birthday. A very special evening and I can't wait to be back.

I've been to the Chef's Table on several occasions and it has never failed. There were 8 in our party this time and there were clean plates everywhere. It's always a nice experience, with great service and atmosphere. The cocktails are definitely worth a try too!!

I was concerned this place wouldn’t be as good as the smaller cafe but it was excellent. I had the beetroot starter, duck Christmas dinner and the chocolate fondant. They were all delicious, interesting and cooked to perfection. The fondant was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The sommelier that served was superb, sorry not sure what his name, but he enhanced the day. Thanks will come again, highly recommended to anyone.

Lovely menu, attentive staff and so pleased we finally made it to try out the food. It was beautifully cooked and presented. We went at lunch time for the last sitting so was nice and quiet and very good value.

Small but creative menu, great friendly staff. Haggis fritters to die for, fresh miso cod, and beef burgundy all hit the spot. Wine pairing was perfect, too.

The restaurant is tucked away down a small side street so there is not much footfall outside. The building itself is small but not cramped. There is ample room between tables so it still remains a private dining experience. The set lunch menu is amazing value for money, especially when you compare the cost of the same meals on the dinner menu. It took longer than expected to have our order taken but the restaurant was fully booked. The food came out in good time and was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were larger than expected due to the nature of the restaurant. After the starter and main we were full! Could not recommend Chef's Table enough! We will definitely be coming back!

Delicious Sunday lunch. Three courses for £33 is excellent value for the quality of the food. Cannot recommend enough. The soup is to die for. Yum yum yum!

Never fails to deliver, outstanding service and creative food that could rival some Michelin Star restaurants! Coming here always feel like a real treat

An absolutely delicious lunch. We've taken the train from Manchester. Well worth the trip for a fine dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Booked the next trip before leaving. Restaurant is very small, but you won't be disappointed. Wines are expensive, but soft drinks are available, food to die for...

Lived up to its reviews, staff were above and beyond the best I've had in a long time with service and the food and wine were fantastic!

One of the best places to eat in Chester. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service excellent, while the food itself is fantastic. Not a good choice if you're on a tight budget, but otherwise highly recommended.

One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Lovely intimate atmosphere, friendly staff and outstanding food, which is ridiculous value, especially on the lunch menu. The surf and turf starter and key lime cheesecake were truly exceptional, so much so I had to resist licking the plate clean. I rarely leave reviews but I feel I need to when a place is thoroughly worth shouting about and this place definitely is! Can't wait to return soon, thanks for a wonderful meal!

The food is superb, definitely fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. The presentation is what you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. I can't recommend the Chef's table too highly. Thank you for a great evening.

Very small place with mainly couples, we were a party of seven but they accommodated is well by pushing for sets of tables together. The waitress was very attentive and happy to explain anything on the menu. I started with chicken wings which were okay, not great but perfectly edible. I then went on to duck which was lovely, cooked with a bit of pink as I like it, others had chips with their meals which I tried, they were delicious also. Dessert was a kindly piece of cheesecake which again was fantastic. If it wasn't for the chicken wings I would have scored then five stars, would I go back, yes of course I would.
