Loved the band on tonight, staff really friendly, recommended x x x x

Shortly after arriving at James Street. We went in search of breakfast. We turned left and then saw on a street to our left two big signs advertising breakfast. Now there are two places here but the wife noticed you get 2 sausage and bacon at the slaughter house and not at the other place. So being hungry we ventured in. At 10:30 there were a few big tables and music was at a nice level... Sky sports news on the telly (always a winner in my book) I went for the 7.50 breakfast and the wife had the smaller 5.50 breakfast both included tea/coffee and toast. Don't forget we are right in the centre so we were more than happy with the price. Bar service was good and all the tram were friendly. Food arrived hot and was excellent Not the best sausages but for the price it's a given that you won't get top quality ingredients... having said that I must stress it was tasty and very nice. We will be back xx

After a slight mix up with order. The owner and the ladies he has working for him, where brilliant. Very good breakie! Free extra tea and some very sincere apologies. Plus our money back. 😀 I definitely use the pub again and so should you.

Walked past on fathers day, heard the Irish music, went in side . Place was packed great 3 piece band on , think the singer was Alan Connel , 1 lady on the fiddle another on bass. Brilliant music, mix of Irish, bluegrass, country and everything in between even George Formby. Place was bouncing , 2 and half hours of nonstop excellent music , would have stayed for the next act but had to get the train,beer was good too, very friendly atmosphere, will definitely be back.

Rough pub, pick pockets and people out looking for trouble. People in there with knuckle rings for fighting. The short bouncer manager was inept at his job and seemed to be in a panic when fighting was happening. Did not feel safe in this pub at all.

Nice roomy pub. Had a couple of drinks on evening of our weekend stay. Staff/service were good. Next day we had breakfast here. Open every morning for breakfasts at 08.30am. My husband had the full breakfast for £7.95 and I had the bacon, sausage, egg sandwich for £4.25. They were both filling and tasty and great value.

Very nice pub. We went on a Friday afternoon. Started to fill up once the offices let out. Nice staff easy to get served during the day. Very popular.

Stayed at the hotel next door so we stopped in for breakfast. We were early but they still got our breakfast out fast. It’s was delicious. Had some nice conversation with the lady that waited on us. Very friendly, very fast and very good.

Nice place but an older gentleman lost his pint because of the camber of the table, it literally slipped off whilst he was at the toilet and was refused another pint. Disappointing

Walked in for breakfast. Barmaid was exceptionally rude to me. Walked out without purchasing anything. I was quite taken back as I have visited the friendly, fun and well mannered Liverpudlians on all other occasions

Go for breakfast at least twice a week. Great value, well worth a visit.

Stayed at the hotel next door and was recommended breakfast at the Slaughter House. It was lovely, i had the normal and my daughter had the vegan breakfast and said it was the best she had ever had. The vegan sausages were outstanding and we would love to know where we can get some as we live in London. The comedy club and live bands were amazing. Great venue and wonderful atmosphere.

Came here Saturday with family and friends for my brothers 50th. What an amazing night. Never laughed so much. Highly recommend this place xx

What a great find! Nice pub with surprisingly good food. The chicken curry over chips was delicious! Don't let the humble decore detour you. Enjoy good value!

Had the pleasure of staying in fenwick sunrise above this pub and iv yet to beat the amazing breakfast that's served here too the staff were absolutely amazing and friendly and extremely helpful and rli do know how to pour a good glass of gin which always helps haha🤣🤣🤣😉

Loved staying here and seeing my first ever comedy show! Was howling the whole night and Chris made myself and my partner feel so welcome. Drinks easy to buy and comfy seating. Can’t wait to go back!

Have been to this pub before for the Comedy Club but this time we just went to have a drink. We didnt eat but from the look of everyones empty plates Im taking it the the food was good. We met some lovely people in here too. Staff very friendly and reasonable prices for the beer.

It was fine if you want to stop in for a pint. I got a burger to eat. It's just a frozen patty with some relatively generic cheese. I wouldn't order it again. I've had a few really good ones in England, but if this was the best they could do, I wouldn't have it on the menu. Liked the place well enough otherwise, but I'd get the souse if I had to eat here again. My friend got that and said it was good.

Needed a good quality breakfast and this fitted the bill. So much so we went back again the next day. Service was equally as good 👍🏻

We ordered traditional stew Scouse and chicken curry and both were delicious. Place is very cozy. Totally recommend!

Love it here good selection of beers and staff are very welcoming. Entertainment good too, on Sunday afternoons. One of my top 10 pubs in Liverpool.

Only slight complaint was we were on the front row, my feet were therefore on the stage so my knees were round my ears. However, great night of comedy and would highly recommend

went on the 5th of march 2022 about 9.45pm but the band didnt start up till nearly 10.15pm so by that time we had finished are first drink with no music and left disappointed

Called in after a night in Liverpool for their advertised breakfast. Pavement tables available, and the usual indoor seating in a bar atmosphere (not a criticism). Friendly staff, and quick service. Breakfast was good, but no juice with the tinned tomato. Beans in their own ramekin (annoying), and toast stacked on top of each other with egg on top (saves plates I suppose). Good quality breakfast though and would use again. ( Fix your wobbly leg table pls). Go, you'll enjoy it, and decent value.

Grand pub, first time we have found it. Lots of this grand piped music lovely food so good went back next day for a great value breakfast.

Great pub, food is brilliant. Staff are all helpful and polite. Nighttime is awesome, music and dancing. The prices are probably the best in town and the Guinness is to die for. Highly recommend.

Called in last night on recommendation and we weren’t disappointed. Good singer on Saturday night had everyone entertained, polite bar staff. So decided to go back following day for lunch where we seen a sign, all Homecooked food. Dining as 4 people we ordered 2 full English breakfasts, 1 cheeseburger & 1 homemade steak pie. We waited 20 mins or so for food, but I firstly decided to order the Sunday lunch at 12 o o’clock only to be told the Sunday lunches weren’t being served until 12.30 onwards (I think the chef forgot to cook the meat) the food arrived all very hot and good sized portions. The steak pie was beautiful and tender along with skin on fries. Rest of the food very good was told. Would definitely recommend this pub, very reasonably priced. Give it a try.
