Lovely ladies at Cafe Gate. Did not mind me talking to them about why I was at Chester. Good food great service.

Food was excellent, tasty and fresh. Highly recommended it. Little surprised to find that they do not have a toilet and that they suggested that we could use the Storyhouse 's facilities across the road. I thought it was a legal requirement for a café to have a toilet, but I must be wrong.

Nice very little cafe for teas and coffee we had tea cake and drink, but had loads of other items to try to eat and looks quite good for the price, not many seats it’s down to pot luck there. They have tea pots all over the walls for display.

Lovely food made with good quality ingredients. Really nice sausages and bacon etc. not cheap catering food. Reasonably priced, friendly service and a nice setting. We'll definitely be back!

Very tiny, only about 4 tables but the food was delicious and the friendly atmosphere was a match too. Definitely recommend.

This independent Cafe, opposite Chester's Coachworks Arcade,does a great Egg Sandwich..It would be an Egg Batch(google that)if I had more patience...and it's open early too.

Had a lovely breakfast on my quarterly visit to chester for my bike service. I felt comfortable as the service was amazing and the food was cooked to perfection. Thanks again. I will be sure to visit again next time.

I had coffee here whilst waiting for a friend a few weeks ago. I was standing at the counter and I could see mold on the buns.

Great full English, it started to rain and we were allowed in with my Archie "dog" who also got a sausage!! Great staff very friendly atmosphere and accommodated us at 2 mins to closing time, highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic food! We had halloumi fries, loaded potato skins and a toasted tea cake. Excellent friendly service.

We go to Chester quite a bit and fell upon this amazing little cafe on Saturday 22nd October 2022. Staff were wonderful and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be returning. We highly recommend going. Many thanks

An excellent full English breakfast. It’s a cozy and friendly coffee and a much better quality breakfast than many of the local hotels. I noticed many of the local cafes are closed at this time so take advantage of the hospitality here.

Lovely little quaint cafe with very good range of breakfast dishes which compared very well to hotel breakfasts but not as expensive. Had small outside area which we used, and people watched as we ate. Service was good too, and although not many tables we were not hurried. Would recommend!
