Ideal place to have meals and hangouts. Hangout with friends is much more suitable than dining alone. When I visited it felt like in a foreign place. Customer service is good and friendly. Food is good in quality and tasty too. Egg salad they make is delicious. Parking lot available here. Wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible parking not available.

Place was quite busy when we visited in the morning. The cappuccinos were soso, watery, not much taste, not enough milk foam. Omelette with mushrooms and toast was alright, but the toast was cut razor thin. Also did not like the butter that came with it much. Pumpernickel with avocado cream cheese and mushroom was a bit bland and dry. But I know it is healthy, of course. Service was very friendly.

IDK how this place has good reviews. Ordered an egg salad and a chicken and cheese bun through Uber Eats. The egg salad was not worth the price at all - not satisfied with the quantity or quality. The chicken and cheese bun was really dry, hardly tasted any of the mentioned stuff inside. This is my first and last order for sure. Not worth the money at all; there are way better places in Colombo.

Do not recommend to locals. While I was dining alone I was actually asked to move from my table to accommodate a couple of foreign men. I was given an apology, I obliged but asking a lady to move over was quite rude by the waiter. First time experienced it. Not visiting this place again. Food and drinks average.

Good Quality Food.... Their Bacon and other cured/cooked meats are some of the best in SL. Great range of baked goods too... Im a big fan of their sandwiches.... esp the BLT and the Smoked Beef.... even their omlets are good too.... Strammer Max being my fave. The setting is awesome too.... nice diner style seating to dine in.... and whats perfect is the kids play area with toys and seating for parents close by..... cute rabbit hopping about too. Highly Recommend a visit! p.s. Brilliant sweet german mustard and curry ketchup!!

The German Beckery is one of the quiet and calming places that I have visited. I visited there in the evening and it wasn't busy much.Pleasant atmosphere and various types of fresh German pastries and coffees are fascinating. Staff is assisting customers in a friendly manner.^^~

We visited here for breakfast but it was an average place. Food was ok nothing too great or perhaps we ordered the wrong thing. The omlette was the best out of what we ordered. Coffee was ok. The place is kid friendly and there's a little play area as well.

I've been here a couple of times and I am pleased with what they have to offer. Your meal is made to order and so you can expect freshness. They also have a good selection of fruit juices as well which I always have with my meal. Although parking is tricky right in front, there is parking on the side.

A cozy little bakery plus cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. A good spot for some sandwiches and coffee. They have tea too. The meats for your sandwiches and salad is on display. And the yummy breads and the aroma is inviting. There was a small section for kids activities. Here you go mums with little children, a nice spot for you to take a break. Parking could be an issue, but most food outlets on Thimbirigasyaya Road struggle with that. Their sour dough bread and rye bread are popular. And of course, their breakfast!

One of the best Breakfast / Brunch spots I have visited recently. Absolutely loved their big breakfasts and generous portions of food. Why I call it Brunch is because when I ate here, I just skipped lunch and only had dinner later on. Food was amazing and so delicious, and the service was excellent. On the day I visited with my family they were short staffed, but the owners pitched in and gave individual attention to each customer with a smile, although I noticed that they were tired. Will definitely visit them many more times to enjoy the large selection of food on their menu. Great job guys, keep it up ❤️

Went there on a weekday. The place just had a couple of guests. The indoor seating is available for upto 25 people. The ambience is good. They have a soothing music running in the background. The staff are friendly and speak english. You have to place your order and pay first. They have cinnamon rolls and varities of bread that can be bought off the shelf. They also have a collection of jams and teas off the shelf. The immunity shot was refreshing. It has a hint of ginger in it along with orange. The roast chicken sandwich and chicken hotdog were good too.

Lovely spot for great coffee, delicious baked goods, and tasty breakfasts. I've recently become a regular and have tried a lot of the menu - it's all delicious! Recommend the lattes, cinnamon buns, berliners, crispy potato omelettes, rye, and german style pancakes with butter and treacle. Perfect for a relaxed morning reading the paper, and service is always fantastic.

The German Bakery was one of those places I've driven past many times but never got a chance to try until my sister and I decided to do breakfast there on a weekend. The parking is limited and as you walk in its the family section with loads of toys and real animals for the kids. My neices loved it so much they dubbed the restaurant (the place with the toys). Had breakfast..eggs were fantastic and really filling. Loved that when you order tea they give 2 tea bags instead of 1. Also both my sister and I huge fans of German bread, love love the pumpernickel. We actually ended up eating here 3x within a week. Worth mentioning: the mustard was just 🤩

Small shop, though, but serves different market niche. If you wish to stay as family with kids for some break for a busy day, this is the place. There is a good playing and learning area where kids can get busy, and meanwhile, you can enjoy some mouthwatering dishes and taste some cinnamon rolls with a cafe mocha. Coffee is perfectly blended and good in quality.

Love their Cinnamon buns, it's topnotch and affordable! Just a healthy walk away, so no guilt trips too! I had the Beef Bun , so scrumptious !

Love this little cafe! Had a cheese, mushroom potato something omelette which was huge but delicious. The bread was fresh and toasty! Mustard was delisssh. Also the best part, the cute kitty.

Staff are humble and awesome, vibe is so chill, great potions and tasty food. not pretentious like seed and kumbuk. My go to bfast place.

Absolutely love this place. Nice variety of bakery and meat items. A great option for breakfast or brunch. Now they have a play area for kids with toys which makes it the perfect place for a sunday morning family breakfast. Keep up the good work!

Amazing place! Good customer service and food is good. A tad bit on the salty side for me because I don’t eat much salt at all but the omelette and bread were delicious.

Pleasant place for coffee/tea chit chats. The staff should be much more careful in how they go about When having a cold during Covid being present. As they are food handlers. Continuously touching mask & face is not done.

We had cinnamon rolls here, something I'd been looking forward to having during my visit to Colombo, but they turned out to be very dry. The iced coffee was okay. While we didn't try anything else here, I wouldn't recommend a special visit for either of these items.
