Spend a day here during an official visit. The place is really beautiful. The location is a bit secluded but this is something very typical for a castle. This is one of the castle’s that has been converted into a hotel while trying to retain as many parts of the original building as possible. The staff is very kind and friendly. The food including the refreshments, snacks and coffee that were served throughout the day were of good quality. The lunch was also good. However they had very limited options (the kitchen was probably non-functional) and food had to be pre ordered. They also do have a golf club. Overall it was a day well spent.

What an example of hospitality, friendliness and customer first mentality! Not only did we arrive very late and check in was no issue, we also were still served dinner which was brought to our room. Since the kitchen was closed they prepared a so called vesper Platte and a salad. But instead of serving just some slices of meet and cheese we had the most delicious roast beef, a starter, fresh salad and even a desert. Further the breakfast was served in a very nice way, we were not rushed out of bed but everyone was super friendly! Besides the location is spectacular; a very nice and historically interesting old castle, charming to stay at! Really a very nice experience, good food; good location and most important a very friendly staff, a very nice reminder that hospitality is still alive in some places!!!!

I think I had high hopes for this place and hence my rating. It is a lovely old palace converted to a hotel. But that's all it is, a hotel. There is nothing that goes above and beyond just the hotel experience. And that's where I feel most let down! Room was great, decent wifi too (not great). Bed was nice and comfortable. We had dinner in the Schloss that evening (we stayed overnight); the waitress did not know any English at all and did not even attempt to try, even though we went with broken German. Rudely dumped our meal plates when they were ready and stormed off after. When we were done, she made us wait for almost 20min before coming to get us the bill. But the breakfast the next morning, we had an amazing waitress, seemed Italian to me, but she was very attention and for us everything needed. I have to thank her, great job. The parking is a short walk from main entrance, so if you have a lot of bags, be careful. Again, at check-in, no one to help. So again, while you think it's a castle experience, it's really not. It's just another hotel type room located in a castle. Bit underwhelmed for the 145 euro per night rate.

Good place full of greenery.

If you like historical old buildings like castles you will love it here. Service is really nice und you will feel very comfort.
