Buddies is a great place for any occasion. The patio is a great space for plenty of people. The staff is always great. I love that the menu always has new items. I tried the new cabo chicken sandwich, which was amazing. We also ordered a Cobb salad and the southwest quesedilla.

Great service and food. The portions are large and if you leave hungry, that's your fault lol. I had the regular wet burrito...huge and tasty Definitely will be back

Was here once in '18 & '19. Stopped in to eat outside on patio b4 Delta Covid is wide spread in Michigan. Learned they have a large screened in patio too. Busy at 4pm on a weekday. Screened patio had several ceiling fans. Got a cold brew, chili w/shredded cheese, burger & onion rings. Shd have taken 1/2 burger hm. Ate too much. Food is excellent here. Burger has grill lines. A very large burger. The waitress was exceptional. Very friendly, helpful and on-the-ball. Unfortunately, no Molson or Labatt brews. Very pleasant visit and excellent food. Shd have taken pictures. The food looked great. This location is larger than Okemos. Has a large bar seating area. I think the only one with outside dining. Update: Sept '22. Stopped in abt 2pm, on wkday. Warm sunny day. Sat in screened porch area on Westside. Many tables open. Only 3 being used. Ordered cold draft, chili, and a fresh salad. All were well prepared. Asked abt coffee, waiter person said it could be brewed. Brought it promptly. Rec'd excellent service. Almost forgot to take pictures. The dining area was clean. Restrooms were clean. A very pleasant visit. 🤔😁

Food has been delicious every time I have been there. The service is excellent to horrible. I have had servers that really hated the job to servers that were just wonderful,. The gyro sandwich is very good (tzatziki sauce is the best) and the sweet potato fries are very good too.

They make the nacho supreme in a way that the chips at the bottom stay crunching the entire meal. Salsa is in tiny cups even when you ask for more.

Good food and the long island ice tea! I will be back

I think I'm done with this place. I've gotten takeout several times during the pandemic and there's always issues. The service is lackluster at best. I waited 15 minutes for food after I received the "your food is ready" text. The wait staff were more interested in hanging out and chit chatting than checking the name on the food sitting there which they assured me wasn't mine. They gave it to someone else, that person came back because they opened it and it wasn't theirs. Then they gave me the 20 minute old food that someone else had opened and handled during covid. I've gotten slimy lettuce on a salad that was discolored and definitely past it's prime. The most recent order they forgot to give me fries with my burger. Pretty annoying when it's takeout and you don't realize until you're home.

7/19/23 Sat out on the patio bc we had our dog with us. Cool, they brought her water and we were alone. Ordered easy stuff Spinach Artichoke dip w/ chips. Was hot bubbly, cheesy on top, very flavorful, but the chips had no flavor at all, no corn taste, no salt, not flour, weird. My man had side of Mac n Cheese, tasted like jazzed up cheez whizz with sprinkles of maybe club crackers. It looked good, but ..... We split the Grilled chicken dinner. 2 breasts, 2 sides and a crusty roll. Chicken was excellent. Perfectly cooked, good sear, very flavorful. I had a side of wild rice, again, nothing, so seasoning of any kind. Sorry sous chef, you need to step it up. Also the Flatbread Cypress is gone. That was the best Balsamic. All in all 👎🥴 Our server was delightful and I tipped her 25% About 2 yrs ago Flatbreads are pretty good. Really like the chicken Alfredo one. Not a big fan of olives though. Wonderful burgers. Nachos are huge, even 1/2 order. Real mashed potatoes.

Food is amazing and fresh. Atmosphere is warm. The servers were wonderful. I will absolutely go back!

After our experience this evening, if I could give a zero star, I would. Our server, Alyssa was extremely rude to us because we asked another server for refills. Our cups were empty when our meals were delivered, and about 8 minutes later, we asked another server for refills. When Alyssa approached our table, she stated “I was bringing your drinks, but I had food to wait for food for another table and I have three other tables to take care of. Thank you!! ” She was extremely rude. The manager came over and offered a discount. When the bill came, they had discounted our $60 bill $3.00. When I mentioned this, they sent another manager who literally started yelling at my daughter, her friend and myself. I’ve never been treated so poorly. We weren’t even complaining! It was humiliating and we will definitely NEVER be returning. Their food is good, but management is extremely poor. Our dinner wasn’t worth the money or the headache.

Not a big fan for my 1st experience. It was a Monday & i placed an order for pick up . My wings were rubbery & my cheese bread was dry as dry can be. I'm not banishing this place just yet . I'll give them another shot . Place was at 100% capacity on a Monday 🤔

Oh my God.. this place has great food. I have relocated from Texas to Michigan and this is the first restaurant I ate at. If I could give them more than five stars I would. Got the loaded tater tots and then the meatloaf. I was very very impressed.

Food was good, service was great once we got to sit in the half filled establishment. Prices seemed way too high for quality of food and atmosphere. For the almost $100 spent I could go to a much nicer place like the three of us did a week prior.

The food was delicious and served hot and fresh. The service was a little slow but they were quite busy at the time. Parking was the biggest problem, the lot was very full and tight. But, we will definitely be going back!

These guys have the best taco salad around! Fresh and plentiful toppings. I have only had the beef and the flavor is really good. Not your typical taco salad bowl, which is also what makes it so good. I highly recommend! Oh, and the southern nachos are delicious too!

I've always loved buddies. They have the best nachos, I swear they have to use 5lbs of cheese, no bare chips ever! Staff is friendly, place is clean! Good prices, quality food.

Update a few years overdue. Heart says Beer is still my favorite part always at the perfect temp. Had food this time, appetizers arrived still nice and hot Food came out quickly and was what you expect from a Buddies. Our waitress was Kate (hope I got that right). She was around when we needed anything like ranch dressing and was always smiling even when we could see the place was crammed. Buddies is at the top of my list when someone ask where to get good food and a cold drink. (This is an unpaid (or bribed) general experience at Buddies). Weekends you can experience for yourself.

Highly recommend the Cabo Chicken Wrap and home-made chips. Best ever! Worth every penny. Same with Cobb Salad with cherry vinaigrette dressing! Excellent food and service!

I don’t think there has been anything I haven’t liked from Buddies. This past weekend, they went above and beyond IMO. We were throwing a party for over 60 people and were looking for an appetizer. I spoke to Justin (owner/manager) about making a full tray of their street corn dip. He wasn’t sure they could get it done and had his reception team reach out to me. Sure enough, they were able to make it happen. Best part of all, the entire party RAVED over how good it was!

Normally I love this place and frequent it at least once a month, and have brought out of town guests. However today has changed our opinion drastically. Was provided a place to sit quickly however once seated was not offered a drink. Sat for 25 minutes, at that point a server came and asked to close the blinds, did so and walked away. Another 10 minutes later, after waiting 35 minutes total with no contact with a server we decided to leave. This paired with the steep increase in prices of items on the menu have left a strong distaste for Buddy's in our minds. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of competency and the severe lack of customer service provided. I frequent restaurants often and have never not been served in a 30 minute time span.

Went for the first time this weekend and it was awesome. I was a little hesitant since it’s in a strip mall area. We ate in the patio area. Everything was super clean. Destin was a fantastic server, very patient as I sifted through the menu. Jaime was fantastic as our second server. We stayed through the whole server shift. Destin was kind and introduced us to Jaime and made sure that we were good before his shift ended. We plan on coming back because of the delicious food options. I wasn’t able to get a photo of the chili. The chili did have beans (Texans beware), but it was the best chili I’ve ever had. The menu can be visually overwhelming, which makes narrowing down options difficult

A great place to go for a quick bite, we had a group of 17 that they were able to accommodate. Our waitress was absolutely amazing! Her name was TeeJay M. After we were done with our meal, we were loitering and having conversation. We were asked to go outside. Not by TeeJay but by some of the other obnoxious staff members. TeeJay was absolutely accommodating and helpful when it came to the menu and the orders and signing everything out. The rest of the staff was kind of disappointing. I would have given this place a five-star review because of our waitress but the other members of the crew kind of brought it down unfortunately.

Ordered a burger with lettuce ketchup Mayo tomato and lettuce and I only got the burger bread and lettuce. I did a online order so all they had to do was read the directions! Definitely can’t eat a plan burger and now they won’t answer the phone! I asked for car pick up they told me I had to come in but to wait an additional 15 minutes to even get acknowledgment was horrible. Not to mention I can’t even bite through the burger! My knife can’t even cut it without strength!

We met family for dinner at 5 o'clock on a Friday. Had an enjoyable evening; were there about two hours. When we were leaving the restaurant we realized there were at least three to five parties waiting to be seated at the tables. But overall I would go there again, as I said, it was an enjoyable evening and at that particular time we didn't feel like we were being rushed to eat our meal, and then leave. So, Buddies is very busy place, but a good time can be had as well.

Just passing through. Driving EV. DC charger walking distance. Figured I would grab a bite while I was charging. Large place. Not very busy for lunch today. I ordered a burger and my server was Kat. Decent burger, large! Kat was very helpful and friendly.

I had the western burger and it was ok. The burger itself isn't that big the onion rings were nice and crisp. Good service and very pleasant staff. My friends had taco salad, tot smashed burger and grilled burrito and they all loved their food. I'll be back!

Very good pizza! Do not come to this restaurant and not try their delicious ranch. Staff were very helpful and kind.

Got the chicken enchilada. I hate to be negative, but it just wasn't that good. It came with Mexican rice and beans. The service was great, though! Allie is awesome!
