Located in Chandani Chowk is this famous place if you want to try some Desi Food. If you visit this place then just try their Butter Naan and Kadhai Paneer as the other dishes are not as impressive as these two. The size of the Naan is so impressive and so is the taste of the food. 1 Naan was more than enough for 3 people. We tried: 1. Paneer Kadhai 2. Butter Naan 3. Jeera Rice (not recommended) 4. Laasi 5. Chur Chur Naan

It's an all vegetarian restaurant mostly famous for its huge naans. The baby naan is difficult for one person to finish. It takes two to finish the large naan. They have number of curries that goes well with naan. It has a vintage vibe, situated in the heart of Chandni Chowk. A visit is highly recommended for naan and vegetarian food lovers.

Venturing into this Dhaba-style restaurant, I was met with a bustling crowd, indicating its popularity. Despite the packed atmosphere, my dining experience was nothing short of delightful. The food truly stood out, reflecting the authentic flavors of traditional Dhaba cuisine. With reasonable prices, the generous portions offered great value for money. Each dish boasted an impressive quantity, ensuring a satisfying meal. We indulged in a feast of flavors, including the delectable baby garlic butter naan, flavorful soya chaap gravy, and succulent paneer tikka. While the soya chaap was slightly firmer than expected, the paneer was incredibly tender, melting in the mouth with every bite. It's worth noting that the abundant portions may require careful consideration when placing orders to avoid overordering. Nevertheless, the overall experience was thoroughly enjoyable, making this restaurant a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Dhaba cuisine.

Great in taste as it gives a dhaba like taste but it's a bit unhygienic. The best curry you will is their Dal Makhani. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant cum dhaba. After having food here you can enjoy the famous giani's falooda. A bit crowded whenever you go. You can try the kadhai paneer and stuffed naan as well.

The food was sufficiently good, I ordered Soya Chap (half plate ₹125), a Chur Chur naan (₹70) although the Chur Chur Naan was a bit more on sweeter side contrary to my gustatory indulgence, and a Kulhad Lassi (₹50), which was not thick enough in texture also devoid any cream but still I like the place and the people.

Legendary eatery in Old Delhi. The place looks as if from the 60s. Not maintained and old school furniture. But unbeatable variety for naans and parathas. Massive sized portions.

The menu options are good and have variety but as they say what is the use of variety when there is no Quality. This Chain has some amazing outlets but this place was a sheer disappointment. I had placed an order of a safe dish (Chur Chur Naan Thali) never wondered that someone could mess this up specially being a chain that by name gives a feel of Punjabi food. Chur Chur Naan was nothing more than a roasted Papad, i am not quite sure where they got the idea of destroying the authenticity of a Chur Chur Naan. Please do not visit this place, save your money and spend it wisely elsewhere.

Enjoyed the food at this cozy eatery; it may be small, but the popularity is evident from the long waiting line. Their specialty "naan" is renowned for its generous size – one is sufficient for 3-4 people. We tried a variety, including Amritsari naan, Chur Chur naan, Aloo Pyaaz naan, Paneer naan, Rajma, Dal Makhani, Paneer and Lassi. Note that the gravy needs a separate order. While everything was delightful, the Chur Chur naan stood out as my favorite. The naans come in different sizes, and they generously serve onions on the side. A must-visit spot for those craving delicious naan.

Nestled in the heart of Old Delhi stands an iconic eatery that has been serving up pure culinary delight since 1942. Renowned for its signature Naans and dishes, this legendary establishment boasts the title of serving the biggest Naan in the country, aptly dubbed the "King of Naans." Upon stepping into the restaurant, one is immediately struck by its old-world charm, reminiscent of a bygone era. However, the ambiance may appear dated and the furniture somewhat worn, but what it lacks in modern aesthetics, it more than compensates for in the richness of its culinary offerings. For those seeking an authentic taste of North Indian cuisine, this eatery is a must-visit destination. Indulge in their must-try Butter Naan, Paneer Paratha, Aloo Paratha, Paneer Butter Masala, and Dal Makhani, each dish crafted with care and expertise honed over decades. Portions here are nothing short of generous, ensuring that patrons leave feeling satisfied and content. Despite the humble surroundings, the unbeatable variety of Naans and Parathas is what truly sets this establishment apart. In conclusion, while the ambiance may not be its strongest suit, this legendary eatery remains a beloved gem in Delhi's culinary landscape, cherished by locals and visitors alike for its unparalleled naans and parathas. If you're in search of authentic flavors and hearty portions, look no further than this timeless establishment.

I personally did not find it that great. It seems pretty famous, there was a rush. But will get seating easily. Food was okayish, authentic Punjabi. Prices are moderate. They don't accept any digital mode of payment, so keep cash.

It's very famous place to eat North Indian on becoming viral over social media. It's once worth visit. We had Kadai Paneer, Dal Makhani, Stuffed Naan, and Plain Naan. We had tea but it was okayish. However, I am not a foodie and I have had better north food Indian food in Mumbai as well as other places. All in all, you can visit once. To check out what's the hype is all about.

Great great great food!!! 👌🏻 Definitely a must try for authentic and tasty North Indian food! Dal Makhni and Shahi Paneer are worth dying for. Cannot afford to miss this place if one is in Chandni Chowk. ❤️ The service and ambience could do a lot better. But it's an old joint and they wanted to keep it authentic I suppose. Could be super crowded on Weekends dinner time. Try to reach early or do a take out.

Prices are very competitive. Service is good. There was waiting time of 10 min on Saturday during my visit. Don't expect fine dining experience rather a dhaba type ambience.

Food taste is authentic, if you are okay to be in queue to get some amazing naan then you should come here if you are planning to shopping in chandani chauk market. Lemonade and cold coffee are amazing too.

I have been to this famous restro in Delhi 3-4 times. Must visit if you are in delhi and love to have proper naan and choles . • We ordered Chole thali which was average as chole's taste was not that spicy and tangy . • We also had Malai kofta and Naan which was really Goood . • Lastly , we ordered Chhaas which was so refreshing and so gooood ◇ Highly recommended : Chhaas

I was so wanted to go this place and have some best and fluffy naans . This place serves the best and biggest naan in Delhi. I ordered chur chur naan thali and i was amazed they had mix suji in that . It was so delicious and so yummy. It is worth the price and very affordable. I would recommend who all are naan and dal makhni lover, go check out this place and you should try their biggest butter naan♥️

I loved it. Food was so tasty and price was not too high. I'll suggest everyone if you love vegetarian food then you must visit kake di hatti and order the kake de special naan. Atmosphere is not as per the latest restaurant but still they are famous for their desi traditional style naan. As a foodie the thing which matters for me is the taste, price, quality and everything was perfect and restaurant was hygiene.

Loved the place to the core. A typical Indian Dhabha style seating unhygienic environment, very conjusted place. You will not find such crowded restaurant anywhere nearby. Huge portion size. Tastes are mouth watering. A huge part of bill payment is on trust basis, as the payment has to be done almost on the road, where one can easily run without paying.

Kake Di Hatti in Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk, is a legendary eatery known for its delicious vegetarian fare and rich history. The food here is undeniably tasty, and their bread, especially the naans and parathas, are exceptional. The fact that it's an age-old establishment adds to its charm and authenticity. I ordered Spl Handi Dal makhni, paneer lababdar, laccha paratha, chur chur naan and gobhi naan. It was all take away and they accept cash only. The Dal Makhni at Kake Di Hatti is renowned for its creamy and flavorful preparation, making it a must-try dish when you visit. The establishment's commitment to pure vegetarian cuisine is appreciated by both locals and tourists. Overall, Kake Di Hatti offers a delightful culinary experience with a focus on North Indian flavors. The historical ambiance and delectable food make it a top choice for those seeking an authentic taste of Delhi's culinary heritage.

Love this place for food not for environment around . But awesome taste for almost every food they serve here ... Must visit place .. try once ,you are addicted to the taste . ... Heavy crowd on road as well as in restro. Also it's better to have cab or bike because no parking space is there .. so you might face this problem here , If you are a food lover you must visit here ...

The shop is very old and famous, the food served is really delicious no doubt the special handi daal is really really tasty which the shop is famous for, the special Naan with lots of varieties of naans, taste is good, well cooked , salad is there with raita, but the problem is about space ,as the shop is old the roof is in very bad condition, old utensils, and less facilities for washing hand n hygiene shop need renovation quickly.

Quantity of food is high, great taste and Lassi is the best thing from this shop. Every visitor should try atleast once. Thanks to owner for maintaining this old shop.

Saw on the wall that they have trademark for hariyali naan and tried it. But it was just a stuffed naan with a lot of aloo and a bit of pudina. The naan's here are famous for their humongous size. Most people won't be able to finish even one. The sides were okay.

But yes food is good but there's less hygiene. So this definitely attracts you. An old shop to enjoy some food while you shop in chandni chowk Market. Nearest metro : chandni chowk

First thing first food was delicious 😋 I ordered paneer gravy which was perfectly balanced with the spiciness. The complimentary naan which was their speciality was super soft. And if you are a spiciness lover than you should try their dhuadaar naan which is utmost spicy 🥵 (do it at your own risk ! ) Additionally the ambience was nicely decorated with paper cutting and dim lights created a perfect match for a good heart warming meal. Coming to the prices I would say it's little expensive compared to other restaurants. But then when you get nice food you seem to forget that ☺️ do visit once Enjoy.

They have some Amazing Naans a must visit place in Chandini chowk. The sabji could have been better as it was above average but it is compensated by awesome naans. The staff their is really friendly, quick and they pack stuff for free if you can't finish the naan or sabji completely for example. I would advice you all to go to the first floor after entering the place to eat your meal as ground floor is not good place to eat. You can place your orders after reaching the first floor. I would rate it 4.5/5 . It would have been 5/5 if they improved their sabji taste.

I had the pleasure of trying the Amritsari Thali at Kake Di Hatti in Delhi, priced at 210₹. This thali included shahi paneer, chole, Amritsari naan, raita, and Gulaab jamun. The taste experience was nothing short of amazing. The shahi paneer, prepared using khada masala, was a revelation. It offered a unique and delightful flavor that I hadn't encountered before. The chole was equally impressive, with both dishes benefiting from the use of khada masalas, resulting in rich and delicious flavors. The Amritsari naan, aptly named the "baby Amritsari naan," was stuffed with aloo, pyaaj, gobhi, and generously drenched in butter. It was so rich and flavorful that it was a bit heavy to finish entirely. The Gulaab jamun, a classic Indian dessert, was the perfect way to end the meal, with its delicious sweetness. Despite the culinary delights, it's essential to note that Kake Di Hatti is an old, small establishment located on the bustling Chandni Chowk street. If you choose to sit on the first floor, be prepared for some discomfort, as the masalas used in cooking can lead to itching in the eyes. Additionally, the quality of service could be improved. Despite these minor inconveniences, the taste of the food at Kake Di Hatti is definitely worth the visit.

A pure veg restaurant, specialising in naan. We a world famous king size naan(see the photo). The paneer kadhai curry was delicious. I didn't like the fresh lime soda, better go with lassi or carbonated drink. Entry & Seating arrangement are little congested. Staff behaviour was polite and courteous. They accept payment in cash and UPI only.

well this place has stories and this is what makes it unique. more thn the food what tempts is its history. being a place which is more than 100 years old..serving the recipes which are of the same age is not just about having the food but about the experience.

  • 2/5 Sid K. 3 years ago on Google
The food is nice, hygiene is iffy, service is efficient, seating is cramped and limited, and a very polite owner who is everywhere, keeping the place running. All put together, it constitutes a below average experience. Waiting for 20 minutes on the pavement, being badgered by beggars and breathing in the traffic, for a 15 minute meal of naan and dal isn't my idea of an awesome time. It must have been awesome at some time in the past though. Given the bar is constantly rising, such venues are more delicious in sepia-tinted nostalgic memories than in the hard light of everyday reality, and must keep moving forward to maintain their edge not only in name but also in practice.

If 6 star or 7 star existed here then I would have given it to this restaurant. Been here a couple of times and was never disappointed. A must visit place in Delhi I would say. The service, taste, prices and everything were all top notch. All the dishes we tasted left us finger licking. Dishes tried - Handi Dal Makhani - Came in handi as it can be seen in pictures, boiling hot 🔥 and it stayed liked that till the end and really loved the taste. Dhuadhar Panner Butter Masala - The taste was really nice although it has too many chillies. If you dont like chillies then this dish is not for you. Mix Naan - Was given a naan with stuffing of that amount and taste which I has never seen. Amritsari Naan - Love the spices in this naan. Butter Naan - We ordered a baby Naan and even that was very massive but never had a butter which didn't feel heavy even after eating a Naan of this size. Not a single side or corner of the naan was thick. Overall had a very very nice experience. It is a place which should be on everybody's bucket list. The place is very pocket friendly and the food you get there is worth way more what you pay. Just that the parking space for car is a bit of problem here and the seating space is a bit less. So planning should be done accordingly.

One of the very famous food spot present in Chandani Chowk. Food quality is very nice. Famous dishes include Paratha and Makhani. One should order for only Paratha, first. Because the size is very huge. Cleanliness is missing. Jain food is not available, though you can get jain paneer Paratha. Raita is of very good quality. Nearby a very famous faluda shop, Gianis Di Hatti, is present. One should visit it after his meal.

New review: Editing my review after 1 month. Will score a big ZERO for hygiene.. Today only I was standing near the shop and the person sitting there was chopping the onion. One onion rolled down the road just near to my shoes. I picked the onion and gave to him. Without washing that onion he just chopped and mixed that with others 🤮.. That was really disgusting. Editing star rating from 4 to 1. Pathetic!! My old review: One of the oldest restaurant in old Delhi. Pure veg restaurant. For the people who loves the north Indian food. Menu includes all north Indian styles like chole bhature, Thali, dal, chur chur naan etc.. Little space to sit and you might need to wait for 10 minutes for your turn. Don't expect the cleanliness but you can expect the taste. Service was fast as compared to rush.Prices were reasonable. One can visit in the light of it's history and taste.

I went here to get something, then after many hours I felt very hungry. Then I couldn't see anything around to eat so I asked someone. Will we get anything to eat here? Then a man told me that you can go here, then I went here. Looking from outside, it seemed a bit strange as to what the food here would be like. Then I went inside and sat down. I didn't understand what to say here. Then I called the service man and asked him what can I eat here. He talked to me very lovingly and suggested me that you can eat naan. Then I ordered Naan, kadhai Paneer and Lassi. Believe me, when I ate Naan, I liked it very much. But I found one thing a bit useless Kadai Paneer. It was not good at all. Lassi was good. I would like to tell you that if you are fond of eating naan, then you must come here.

Firstly, the food is really tasty and worth the wait(not more than 10 min) because this place is always crowded. Sitting is available on both ground and first floor. This place serves authentic food made with khade masalas enhancing the whole dining experience. It is nearby Chandni Chowk Railway station, also called Old Delhi Railway Station ( walking distance) The nearest metro is Chandni Chowk.

If you r Hungry, definitely go here, but want a lovely dinner experience, explore other options too. Seriously "No Toilet room" there". I relish paneer tikka & soya chaap tikka, But Worst was- Paneer Butter Masala.....and they got 2 variety in this segment, their special one" costs higher" and normal paneer butter masala, which you generally "Find Good", I found "Repenting on money spend".

This eatery 🍽️is for those who want to get a feel of old delhi vibes - sort of late 90s era and enjoy typical north indian food. Choose your naan wisely as it comes in multiple sizes. Try some paneer dish and handi daal makhni. Disclaimer - Butter overloaded 😋

👍👍 Very tasty food. Its a must try item. The place is usually busy and crowded. But worth the wait i would say. Also they serve only half and full portions of chicken. Not too expensive for the quantity and quality. highly Recommended.
