Highly recommended!! Amazing place to stop by on a road trip!! Incredible exhibition and nice, friendly staff. So much to look at, great place to learn about Mimbres Native Americans’ history and lots of other things. Spent 3+ hours visiting and quite a few bucks at the cute gift shop. The railroad timetable rack was my favorite spot. 这是非常棒的小小博物馆!走过路过请不要错过!

This museum is an absolute gem! My dad and I were on our way back to Phoenix from New Mexico and I looked up "Military museums" since my dad is a huge fan of all things military. This museum popped up in my search and since it was so highly rated and was right off the I-10, there was no reason not to stop by (plus, it's free!). And we were so happy we did. We were both so impressed by the building, the exhibits that cover a vast array of subjects, the impeccably kept facility, and the super friendly and helpful staff. This museum is so unassuming from the outside, then when you go in and start to walk the building and the exhibits just go on and on! I highly recommend the Deming Luna Mimbres Museum! You could really spend hours in there!

This is very comprehensive. The towns heritage behind and the growth of the county is wonderful! This will take you 4-5 hours if you want to see it all. Very beautifully done. Very enjoyable!! It was a shocker to find this gem in the town today. Thank you!

Excellent museum! It worth our time there. The staff was very helpful and they have a great gift shop. Leave a generous donation as you enter. There was alot thought and effort to make such a great museum possible.

The museum is expansive with a room dedicated to the city's history and local populace, although the focus was more on prominent families in the community from early days until now. Area history is also able to be seen in the many rooms of local artistry and early native culture arts and crafts. The staff was especially nice and willing to give additional information on the exhibits. A recommendation to stop by this two story building full of interesting things.

An unexpected treat. Staff were great and museum was awesome. Not only items and info from Deming, but truly across the world. An amazing doll collection, the pottery artifacts, the geodes oh my! Learned some about my roots too, had no idea Czechoslovakian immigrants settled in the area. We only planned 2 hours, plan 4 hours to read more. Admission is free, but donations welcome. Highly recommend making the stop.

Really a great museum. Lots of interests. The Indian artifacts are fantastic. Bigger inside than it looks! Leave yourself an hour. Or return often!

For a town of 15,000, this is an amazing historical collection. From ancient (and lost) Indian cultures to Deming in World War II, they have extensive collections. While not the Louvre or British Museum, it is a very impressive museum that likely rivals anything in the entire US southwest. If you go through Deming and you like history, this is a must stop.

Totally unexpected. We spent 2 hours here. Enter via exterior basement steps on left of facade. Rooms of Mimbres pottery, very well displayed. Keep wandering. Some nice old weapons on display in a hidden corner military room. Found a room with wonderful fossils, geodes, and thunder eggs which I had never heard of before. (There was an explanation). Rocks minerals, mammoth tooth, just cool stuff. Then they had antique cars, carriages, fire trucks. My favorite was a Lark made in Indiana. I went upstairs but not as interesting for me. Nice gift shop. Friendly folks. No charge to enter, but we spent money in the gift shop to make up for it.

I was so amazed not just the quantity of interesting items but the creative displays and comprehensive descriptions of the history. This is a DO NOT miss location . The staff was helpful and well informed. The geode room was absolutely fantastic.

We found this museum thorough. All the displays are very well done in covering the history and culture of Deming. The gift shop is beautiful, something for everyone. We look forward to another visit.

This Museum surprised me with their collection. They need to write an article on Texas Highways about it. I could have stayed there all day, so many great collections. I highly recommend it. Take your kids, take your time reading and enjoy the collections. I fell in love with Deming. I will make the drive yearly and definitely stop here. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable.

The Deming Luna Mimbres museum is well worth a visit. The collection displayed within this old armory building is quite varied; native pottery, both ancient and new; dolls; wagons; militaria, and more. The various sections are well laid out, and the false storefronts and set pieces found throughout the museum really add to the setting and ambiance. This museum is well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our visit to this museum. It was like stepping back in time and we were there memorial weekend. The war memorials for all the wars was very touching and special. Would definitely recommend

This museum is absolutely a must see if travels bring you to deming. We came for a festival but the museum was absolutely the highlight of our trip. The staff was very friendly and the amazing items and artifacts that this place has is amazing. We were there for more than 2 hours and still didn't get to see everything they have. It is free to get in but they are funded through donations only. Please make sure if you're in the area to stop and see this wonderful gem of a museum. You'll be glad you did.

Wow!!! The museum was free and huge. Their collection is quite impressive. If you love dolls you should see the doll room. Also, Indian pottery was well represented and military. Too many categories to list them all. Allow a couple of hours to fully appreciate all they have to see.

I’m not a big museum guy, but if you are in Deming for any length of time, it’s definitely with a visit!

Surprisingly large small-town museum that packs in a lot of interesting items and exhibits. Focuses on regional history from the Mimbres period up through the settlers that built the town. Volunteer staff is super nice and helpful. It's the best small-town museum I've been to.
