Arrived here as a result of a Google search while traveling in the local area last month. The menu offers several different choices, all of which are appealing. I finally decided and ordered the Classic New Mexico burger along with onion rings and sweet potato fries. After placing my order l surveyed my surroundings and observed the dining area to be immaculately clean. My food arrived at a quick pace. I felt my food was really good, it arrived hot, fresh and made to order. Sadly the wait staff seemed dismissive and aloof, almost as if lacking any measurable passion for their jobs. I really felt my server would rather have a root canal then wait on my table. While l found the food worthwhile, l never felt welcomed here by the indifferent staff nor did they ever make me feel valued as a paying customer. Sadly the stellar culinary accomplishments from the back of the house were soon lost and muted by the lame wait staff up front pretending to be providing customer service. Great food but dismal service. Keeping my water filled was a chore in itself. I'd gladly eat here again based just on the food, hopefully then whatever the issue was will be resolved. Yes it's worth visiting.

Oh lord! I ate the entire burger. WOW! You will never go away hungry. I will be back! Edited…….. (Nov. 8th ) So I have returned to try that 1/4 pound hot dog. With tear filled eyes I see CLOSED MONDAY & TUESDAY.

You have to check out Mama Fats! Great road trip stop. Must-see and a fun to-do. The sweets and the food is amazing! I got the Cherry Chingon burger and the funnel cake fries. Both PHENOMENAL!!! I strongly recommend stopping here and trying as much as you can. Service is top-notch; we met Mana Fats and she was just the best. Enjoy!

First off before I say anything, I would like to let you know that this is our first time visiting this location and town. Our first impressions were that it was really clean (extremely important esp. During these times), extremely inviting, colorful, loved the theme (dinner hippos), and with a retro vibe. The food was delicious. It was a personal spin on classic dinner foods. The employees were helpful and very informative. Always a plus when its your first time visiting. And what was the cherry on the top for me was the restroom. I don't know if any of you are like me, but I am extremely picky when it comes to restrooms. If it is not clean in the slightest I feel like it's not worth eating there. But this restroom was beyond clean. I would recommend this place and hope to visit soon.

Definitely has great burgers just pay attention to all the toppings. Staff was very friendly and place was clean. Wife was disappointed with the mushrooms because the breading fell off easily and no flavor. Other than that I would stop by again if in the area.

Have enjoyed this restuarant for a long time now and am surprised how many people that still haven't eaten here. Great variety of favorites, from burgers and dogs to fried fish and rolled tacos. BLTs to pulled pork sandwiches. Also a very nice ice cream selection. Take your ice cream in waffle cones or by the cup. They have a nice menu for kids: mini sliders, mini corn dogs, chicken nuggets, and kids grilled cheese with a cup of ice cream for dessert! Old diner style decor with large TVs spaced out for indoor dining. Nice outdoor seating as well. Always a great meal with friendly staff! Order online as well. What are you waiting for?

Place seems a bit outdated. Lady that took my order was sweet and helpful. I ordered the patty melt with Jalapenos. Got the order in just a few minutes, brought to our table. Fries were good, probably a 7+. The hamburger on bread was actually quite good. 8+. Overall a good experience and I would recommend.

Food was amazing and I love the decor. Everything was great, but our service cashier/server should of been more welcoming/ informative. We weren't greeted, not even a smile. When I asked questions about the menu items it seemed as if I was annoying the cashier by asking more about the menu because it was our first time eating there. Like I said, food was amazing,clean, great decor and atmosphere. But if you don't have friendly service it will drive out your customers regardless how good the food is. I know I've been in the business for 17 years ran a few resteaunts myself and continue to work in the food industry and hospitality is very important.

Kind mama's and sister, cute place, Really good food and milkshake! I love this place♡ You should try their wings and milkshake. I love their spicy buffalo wings. I wanna visit here often if I am living in this area :) Highly recommend 👌

The food was high quality. It was so delicious! I had a burger and fries and my boyfriend had a chile dog. The food was so fresh! We also had a sundae, and it was amazing! The portions were generous. The owner was so kind and respectful and came to our table to ask us how our experience was. We will be back soon!

At first I wasn't convinced of going here but once we went inside I was surprised. We didn't tried the food we ate Ice cream and it was delicious can't wait to go back and try the food. They have interesting items on the menu.

My boys and I went there for the first time., it was something different! Love the atmosphere and the food was delicious! Staff was welcoming and kind. 💗 They also have ice cream!!! 😋

Excellent food and very clean restaurant! Patty Melt and onion rings are in my top 3. Zipper Ripper was full of flavor. Love the cute decor.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our road trip and so glad I did. So friendly, CLEAN, awesome selections of food choices and fun atmosphere to dine in. Not to mention desserts/icecream!! Most definitely will visit again. Thank you for wonderful service

Had the Cherry Chingon & Onion Rings. Tasty !! Daughter had the sliders & fries. We were happy & full when we left, worth the detour off the freeway on our way from Texas to California!!

Found this place on our way back to Tucson. We always look for dog friendly locations, but it was just too hot today. We did grab burgers to go and have found our favorite place on our way back to Cruces...The Classic New Mexican burger was phenomenal, and I am really not a burger fan. They even made a burger, plain and dry, for our dogs to share. The fried okra was amazing, very fresh and very lightly breaded, not too heavy. We highly recommend this cute location. The ice cream desserts looked wonderful...next time!!!

Great food and great service! We were on a road trip to Hobbs, and stopped to eat here. Food was great the great service girls even gave our 17 year old pug a treat! Great place!! Would love to try more of the food here!

Had lunch here today. First time visit. Service was fine. The owner brought our food out, and checked back with us. Very friendly, and treats her staff politely also. Had fatty patty melt, with side of sweet potato fries and onion rings. Best onion rings ever. Sweet potato fries were delicious. Cute retro decor and Good music to listen to while eating. Will definitely come back.

The whole family ordered different burgers. Everyone raved about the flavor. I had the green chili burger minus the guacamole. It was fantastic! Amazing flavor, a little overcooked, but still great. We also had buffalo wings. They were pretty good but could have been cooked a little longer. The fries were amazing, and the tater tots were good too. We ordered shakes and sundaes also. This is where things were a little strange. It took over a half hour to make 5 desserts. They were amazing, but we were trying to drive to Tucson and needed to get on the road. An extra half hour to wait for dessert was too much.

First time visit, couldn't say more great things. Vibe was cool, staff was friendly, food tasted amazing. Some really good food choices and for the price the portions were great. We both loved our burgers way more than the fries (one reg and one sweet potato) but they still tasted great. Extra bonus was on the day we went, they gave us 20% off without us even asking. Definitely on my list of places to stop when back in town.
