My wife and I both had the Western Burger, it was great. our bartender was friendly and courteous.

The combo plate was awesome. Food was hot and fresh. The haddock was light, and when dipped in butter, it was fabulous. It was cooked perfectly. A big fillet of Walleye was awesome. Perch shrimp, and fries were all great. The bartender served us, and she asked us twice how everything was. Luckily the music wasn't blaring, and we could watch the Brewer game. The prices were reasonable. I'm not one to write reviews like this, but I know I'll be back to rookies again again!

We went the last 2 Friday nights for fish and it was delicious. We had perch plates one week and perch sandwiches the next. I would recommend Rookies for food, drinks and a relaxing place to meet friends.

Went in the 3rd of July and the open sign was on, door unlocked, and Google said it was "busier than usual". My group walked in and smelled burning grease, it was a ghost town not a soul in sight, then an alarm started blaring which was awful for the ones of us that are veterans with hearing disabilities already. To say we were ticked off is an understatement. Next time this place is supposed to be closed I suggest they lock the doors and turn off all signage that suggests they may be open.

Smells bad inside. Burger was fine, but the overpriced salad was on a plate the size of saucer. Chili tastes nothing like chili, no spices. Staff was not very attentive. There were 2 of us there, and she ignored me.

Young lady bartending should not be behind the bar. Very stuck up. Did not seem to wanna be there. Also serving patrons previously opened bottles of beer. ( How long was that beer open in the cooler) One star was too much. 😵‍💫

The food was delicious. I ordered my burger medium and it came well done. Everything else was excellent.

Small town tavern with a sports bat feel. Locals in the bar at lunch time talking about the Packer's game and local politics. Owner is sitting at the bar and bartender is also the waitress for floor seating. Nice place with low and high tables and and partial wrap around bar. I ordered the Philly Cheese sandwich with chicken and broccoli cheddar bites. The Philly Cheese come with cuber chicken breast, peppers, onions, and cheese served on a toasted hoagie roll. Not a huge portion - but more than enough. The broccoli cheddar bites are breaded and deep fried and taste amazing. I have really developed a taste for these delicacies. Overall a pleasant experience. The staff is not overly attentive but they are pleasant. If you want someone yo talk your ear off ... this is not the place. If you want to sit and eat in peace ... great place. If you sit at the bar - they will talk with you more. I do recommend this place. I hear the fish fry on Friday is great. May have to swing by and check this out.

Love finding new little places to stop on road trips! What a great find! Fantastic place! A bit hesitant at first, but it got so many great reviews, we had to try it. Their wings came out looking a bit dark, but they were not burnt- they were perfect! Some of the best ever! The stuffed pepper soup was amazing as was the Monday special- $2 burger and fantastic $1 fries (cooked perfectly!) Bartender was friendly as was the owner! We would stop here again!

We went in for the Friday Night Fish Fry. The salad bar was an extra plus that was included with our fish dinner. Stuffed pepper soup was absolutely amazing. My husband and I both ordered the Combo Platter. There was Perch, Shrimp, Haddock, and Walleye. Both of our dinners were so delicious and quantities were really good too. We brought home leftovers. We will definitely be going back for the Friday Night fish Fry. The bartenders were great and kept checking if we needed anything. Great Atmosphere!
