The worst!!!! Don't trust them!!!!! Not a guest because you GAVE MY ROOM AWAY!!! Called me while I was on a airplane telling me I had 40 minutes to call with a credit card. Called when landed and no room because you gave it to someone else. Left me scrambling for a room at midnight. Great start to a vacation. Just plan horrible to do to someone! Here's a shocker for you, people rent hotel rooms when they travel out of state and need to fly in an airplane!

Bummer stay. Room wasn’t good. Stains and smell in room was told we could come get frebreeze for it. Accidentally left a pillow called next days and it was gone. Enjoy our pillow whoever from the staff that took it when they cleaned the room. Won’t stay at a la Quinta again.

Upon arriving I was having trouble accessing my Expedia reservation. The young man at the front desk, JJ, was very impatient and unprofessional as I struggled to find the information for my second room I had rented a month previously through the third-party site. He insisted I rent a third room when I was unsuccessful in finding the reservation, even though it stated clearly in the notes that I had two rooms. He said he would charge me the same amount as my reserved rooms, however in the morning I found the charge to be higher. I went to the front desk and talked with Todd who straightened the whole thing out for me. I am appreciative to Todd for his excellent customer service. The room was clean and quiet, but the hallways stunk of marijuana smoke. Breakfast was plentiful - sausage, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, bagels, waffles, and it was very fresh. The coffee was very, very strong but hot. For the money I spent I feel like the value was good and although the original customer service was a bit low Todd made up for it the next day by providing service with a smile. I would stay again.

We decided to stay here after having a terrible experience at another close by Hotel. For the extra $30 it was so worth getting to stay in a clean room, free from roaches! Would definitely stay here again.

The location was great for us. The best thing about the hotel. It's been awhile since I've stayed at a La Quinta, and I assumed pets were still free. Not so much. $25/per pet/per day ruins the value for me. At that fee, I can stay at nicer places This hotel is an older, remodeled hotel. At first glance, it's ok, and smells ok. But that's just paint and aerosol misters in the hallway. It has an underlying musty smell to it. Drywall is cracking at the seams in several places. Toilet in room runs and the tank doesn't fill consistently. Desk chair is peeling and won't extend to much higher than sitting on the floor. Had to get another from the maid to use the desk. Couch is not comfortable. Zero water pressure, but hot. Temp won't go below 68 degrees, and the little hotel gym....isn't. On a positive note, the morning breakfast was probably one of the better spreads I've seen post covid. La Quinta used to be a value proposition when traveling with pets, but is not anymore. I'd rather pay the little extra and the flat rate pet fee for other hotels that have nicer rooms with kitchenettes.

It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I love the fact that you have a safe place for me to park my truck (18 wheeler). The staff is wonderful, they are so courteous. Breakfast is okay. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at this hotel well over 20 times in the last 4 years. I stay here due to the pet friendly nature of La Quinta. The reviews are overall accurate. The rooms are mostly clean. Occasionally I get a room that smells bad or stale. You roll the dice on the bed. Some are soft, some are hard, some seem old. Little consistency here. The worst thing about this hotel is that it appears to be a place for vagrants and homeless people. The outdoor "smoking area" is usually occupied with people I would not think are your standard paying guest. Often times there are people sleeping at the back door in the bushes. You get to sit and eat breakfast with people who have not washed their clothes in a while. (even though there is laundry available onsite) Not that I think I am in any way superior to these unfortunate people. But when a hotel asks for up to $200 a night for a simple room, you expect more. It does not feel safe here outside my room and I worry about my car being broken into by the numerous vagrants hanging around outside. Which brings up another point. Depending on events in town, this hotel will gouge even regular customers for as much as they can get. This applies to Platinum and higher members. My experience with staff has been varied. Some are great. Some could care less. They can be very unpleasant at times.

What a cluster of a place. Getting to the hotel is impossible from Denton. You either need something capable of off-roading or drive to krum and back on the service road. Rooms were clean but slightly dated. AC worked and facilities were nicely stocked. Housekeeping staff were very nice. Front desk staff were TERRIBLEY rude. Tony was the only kind one. He was very friendly and helped us understand what was going on. The rest were extremely rude. Instead of just saying I can’t help you explain as to why you can’t and what I can do from there. Won’t be staying here again but from the second I walked in the door I felt un-welcomed anyway. Seems like the feelings mutual.

Not worth your time and definitely not worth your money!! The room they gave us had a very strong and penetrating urine smell. We asked for a different room and ended up with a completely different sleeping arrangement which didn’t suit our needs so we had to intrude on extended family for space in their room. When we got in our second room of the night we had a stain on the mattress of the hide-a-bed, no sheets or pillows. Called the front desk and we asked for sheets. When we get to bathing for the night we find that we only have one towel. We had to go to the front desk to get towels. Finally get to bed an hour and a half after arriving due to ALL of the issues we had. If it were not for it being so late we would have left and gotten another room in a different hotel.

La Quinta Inn & Suites is just opposite Holiday Inn, it's relatively the same size with all the inns around. It has a small reception and a sizable dining area, the rooms are of average size too. I lodged here for three days and i can say the place is neat, I love the view, however, the AC in my room makes a lot of noise.

It's an older place, but it's kept up pretty well. The room smelled a little at the door, not sure what but not great. Rooms very clean. It was very noisy outside, lots of people moving about, walking dogs, closing doors etc. Lobby is nice, food was, well, basic. Coffee was horrible. The cost was not too bad. These days everything costs more. I will only stay in another LA Quinta if the location is good, but I'd prefer maybe an upgrade.

The room was very clean and accommodating to our needs. The king size bed was soooo comfortable, I did not want to get out of it. We checked in kinda late the front desk clerk was very nice, so nice tho it was a little awkward. He kept hitting on my friend and it made her a little uncomfortable but all in all it wasn't bad. We just need a place to crash for the night.

We stayed here during my daughter’s cheer competition. Location was crazy. It was like a maze trying to get to the parking lot off the interstate. The guy behind the counter was polite and welcoming when we checked in. However, things took at turn when we got to our floor where it smelled terrible. Smelled like a bathroom that someone used the restroom in and tried to cover the smell with hairspray… you know you’ve done it so I know you understand when I say it smelled funky… it smelled funky. Our room was clean but we did find a drill bit in our bed… so that was comforting knowing more than likely our bed hadn’t been touched in a hot minute. As we were getting ready for bed, we noticed yet another smell wafting through the air. It may have helped us sleep a little better because the smell was that of someone smoking the grass. Not complaining, to each their own, but you add that smell to the funk already in the air and Whoa! 😳 As we finally laid our heads down to sleep, my bed made the loudest squeaking sound. Anytime I moved it would sound off allowing both neighboring rooms to hear that I was uncomfortable and indeed needed to turn over. It was a long night to say in the least. In the morning we had hope for breakfast but alas, it was cold and the sausage wasn’t fully cooked. So we opted for the cereal with cold coffee. We went back up to the room, packed up our things and went to check out. The fellow checking out seemed like he had a rough night because his demeanor definitely said that he would rather be at home in bed ( maybe I should have suggested that he go to the fourth floor to locate the fun room omitting smells into our hallway… if ya catch my drift 😉) As we passed over the keys, I did mention that the bed needed to be looked at and gave them back the drill bit that was found with a nice smile (because a Karen I am not!) All in all, if you need a quick place to lay your head, It would be a good last minute resort to do so… otherwise keep going down the interstate and find a different hotel to stay.

Very pleased! Needed to get away for a night and certainly can't complain. Bed is VERY comfortable, water in the shower was hot, room was clean. The front desk person fixed my TV within 5 minutes of me saying it didn't work. Can't wait to fall asleep here. Well worth the money!

The pool was closed for the two stay days. The next-door/hotel pool was offered; however, I wasn’t looking to walk in pool attire outside the hotel. That’s why I choose an indoor pool. There is no ice on each floor. The cleaning staff seems to have too much drama and the front desk people don’t seem to respect their boss. She looks like a strong and knowledgeable lady.

We seen lots of pets. It was nice to see a pet friendly hotel. The bed was hard and not comfortable. But everything else was good. Clean, super friendly staff. I would consider staying again

We stayed 2 nights and were pleased with the cleanliness, the amenities and mostly the friendly staff. They accommodated us easily during a very busy spring break weekend. The beds are firm but comfy. Plenty of pillows and towels. Best hotel we've stayed in on the road. Breakfast was good, but get there early! We will stay here again!

I am relocating and my original stay was 1 week. I have extended due to the friendly staff and cleanliness. The hotel accepts pets however smells and looks fresh any time of day. The cleaning staff is very thorough from lobby to rooms. The front desk is always helpful and recommends restaurants that are close-by (a mile at most). There is a full breakfast with scrambled/boiled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, juices ect. There is a semi covered patio to enjoy outside and a clean pool inside. I cant say enough good things about the Denton property.

I am from Denton and come back to visit often. This is MY GO TO hotel. I can bring my fur babies for a great price and the indoor pool for the kids is perfect. The location is great and close to everything. I absolutely love this hotel and it is the one I stay at least 5 times a year. Staff is always great and friendly. Clean rooms and outdoor space. They do a great job at maintaining it even with dogs in and out!!

Had a reservation but the general manager was rude and seemed racist. We left and I wouldn't go back. Response:You are the 1 we spoke to you definitely remember me,and my family so there's nothing more to talk about. You're only being nice for your bosses to see this post.

Very friendly staff. Beds were ok but not great. Sheets are scratchy. Lots of defective coffee cups, ended up wearing most of it via two different cups. Place was clean. Cops were there investigating some crime so not sure what that was about.

RUN SOMEWHERE ELSE after watching staff go thru lost and found in main lobby, passing out desired items, with cleaning staff, as staff was still not finished cleaning at 4pm, staff then entered my room with do not disturb on door, and blocked door lock, with sign, to get back in, stole property and we filed police report asap and checked out and did not even stay the night, we reported and when I asked to see video of who was in my room, they said get a Subpoena besides that, mouse chewed on spot on wall with mouse trap behind the microwave, the sheets were dirty, bed showed slept in without change, hair with stuff attached in sheets and pillows, faucet did not drain, no handle, mirror broke on side w/ large chip left sharp, wall sconce from shower off, & more, truck parking lot i was told i had to use was full of massive holes from a prior building demolition with short and long pieces of rebar protruding from them, both hazardous to truck and tire. staff said only a manager would refund and there were none till next day, 5 days later never happened,

The room was disappointing on entry & check in. There was blood on multiple spots across the top blanket and pillow. We called the front desk, was told they were booked to capacity and they could discount our stay and change out the bedding. We agreed, then they brought the new bedding up, took photos of the blood spots, stripped the bed, and left the sheets for us to make the bed our selves, no blankets. Later in the night, around 11pm, bugs start to crawl out of the frame onto the bed. We took photos , called the front desk again and they moved us to the 4th floor (they “found” a room) or maybe someone checked out, but on a positive note, the pool was clean & warm. The breakfast was fresh, and the lobby was clean.

I have stayed in probably 100+ hotels with my job. This one by far is the worst! No guest should ever have to fix their toilet while staying. First report of issues at 7 am, no plunger offered no explanation of no maintenance. Second report at 9 am, still nothing from the night girl. 3 rd report, the manager explains finally but is in no way shape or form nice. Then they both corner me in the elevator and try to have me arrested and got me terminated. Again no guest should EVER have to fix the hotels toilet.

Room is ok but this staff is Just about money. I use cbd oil for arthritis and they charged me $250 for throwing away a non injectable syringe used to extract oil. No needle! Diabetics stay away

TV didn't work a third of the time, the overabundance of perfume like odor surrounded the lobby and hallways but as soon as I opened the room door it smelt like my great grandmother's house filled with cigarette smoke. There was no smoke, but the odor remained. Homeless people scattered through the parking lot every so often, it's just an uncomfortable stay and below standards for what I would expect from a la Quinta inn. I am a "diamond" member.

It felt cramped. The photos made it look bigger and than it really was. Although the hot tub was broken, everything else was in good repair and well-stocked. It certainly wasn't bad. The best word I could do use us 'adequate'.

  • 3/5 Maggie P. 1 year ago on Google
First room the AC didn't work properly. So we switched rooms. Had to call front desk both times to use tv because tv would change input when turned off. Remote input wouldn't work. Found a flea in the bathroom. Sink was leaking from underneath. Got woken up by a dog howling at 6 in the morning like it was being murdered.

I booked my 18 year old daughter this room because she is very busy with extracurricular activities and we live and hour and a half away. She had a dance convention in Denton and unfortunately I couldn’t go with her due to prior arrangements. She had to go back the next morning as well and I wanted her to get some sleep instead of driving. She called me when she tried to check in stating that she couldn’t stay there due to it being a “college town” and she isn’t 21. We were devastated. She was exhausted from being up until 1 from a Friday night football game and then driving that far at 5:30 the next morning and I felt it was dangerous for her to drive back home without sleep. After talking to the front desk they were no help so I asked to talk to the manager and the lady said, “ I can send you to her but she will tell you the same thing”. After speaking with the manager, Emely, and addressing my concerns she advised me how we could make this work. I really appreciated her help as I was almost in tears worried about my daughter having to drive so exhausted. I want to thank her for taking the time to help find a solutions rather than just turn as away. Especially since their policy doesn’t state that and in Texas 18 is considered an adult.

I stay at this hotel every time I'm in Denton visiting my daughter who attends college there. We never have any problems and it's actually a pleasant stay for the price. Only thing I would change is the breakfast options. Everything is good except it'd be nice to swap the sausage for bacon once in awhile. Other than that it's pretty good, and I do recommend this place.
