This is my third time coming to this restaurant. The first two times I came were a fun and calming experience. The food came quickly, and it was super good. Me and my friends went last night on a Friday, and it was really packed. Over 45 min wait and when we finally sat down, it took almost an hour for all our food to come out. This is not a criticism, I will just not be coming here on a Friday night again. The food was delicious, just disappointed that my shrimp and grits portion was like an appetizer when I spend 20 dollars on it. The staff was super helpful and came around often despite the overcrowding. Love this place still and like coming here for an early dinner or a lunch with friends.

This was a great place to eat and relax. We were going to go to 940, but they had no AC, so we walked down the street to Barley. We sat at the bar, I had an old fashioned, and we ordered dinner. It was a pleasure watching the bartenders smoothly prep tons of drinks. Dinner was delicious.

This place was okay. We have it a chance during a Sunday afternoon and are not sure if we would return. We ordered brunch and while the food was decent enough, the service here needs a lot of work. We weren’t given the menu QR code after being seated, the food took a really long time to come out (30+ minutes for two dishes) and when we finally got the dishes the server never gave us utensils so we were sitting there unable to eat for a few minutes before I was able to finally flag down the hostess to get us the utensils. All in all, I don’t think I’d wait an hour to eat in this place again.

Dinner with happy hour drinks was very good. Service was good too but she kept forgetting to bring our food and brought us wrong drinks. Overall we liked it and will go back again.

From the first minute we spoke to our server Mike we knew this was going to be an amazing experience. Mike was immediately knowledgeable on drinks. He then gave very good food recommendations. I chose the Cuban sandwich, being from Florida, Mike wanted to see how they stack up to the original Cuban sandwich. My Girl friend ordered the Pastrami sandwich. Neither choice disappointed! The Cuban was amazing full of flavor a real treat, it comes with a dipping sauce, as I recall the original ones don’t come with, no need for it. The pastrami was amazing also, it comes on a herb bread, unfortunately the bread overpowers the amazing meat, to make This the best version it can be a nice marbled rye would complement the great taste of the meat! I would still recommend both with the nod to the Cuban. I really think Mike may have been the best server I’ve had ever! This is a must visit location

The downtown restaurant boasts a fantastic location, accompanied by a friendly and attentive staff. The service is excellent, and the food is top-notch. The impressive array of delicious beers adds to the dining experience. The cleanliness of the restaurant and well-maintained restrooms contribute to a positive atmosphere. Its prime downtown location is ideal for both sightseeing and shopping.

I got thou picnic board. It was Gabsabrooolackittylumptious! It was like a buff bunny rabbit paid Gordon Ramsay to cook it, and he did! I also got the crispy spicy chicken sandwich. It was so spicy, we can’t stop twerking about it! The cookie board was as if it fell through a sunny patch of light on a cloudy day, onto my table. Overall, it is a good settlement! I can’t wait to eat at this fine establishment again!

I wanted the salad with goat cheese but of course the time I go they’re out of it. I had to settle for the chicken sandwich and it was just okay. The vibe of this place is sooo cute! The decor is honestly amazing. I loved all of the details. Service was good too! I’d go back and hopefully get that salad I want to try.

My only gripe about this place is its price. I love their charcuterie boards and their entrees, but a party of two can easily rack up an $80 bill. Good place to treat yourself, not the best for frugal college students.

The best cocktail happy hour you'll ever find! $6 craft cocktails. Was pleasantly surprised by how loaded up the charcuterie boards were. Hadn't been in years but look forward to coming back. Many many more times here soon

First time ever eating here and us groomsmen stopped by for brunch before we had to go to the venue for the wedding. I've never had a charcuterie board but man we got the picnic board and it was top tier, loved all of it!! Also a special shoutout to The Springs in Aubrey!! Definitely a beautiful place to be for an amazing wedding experience!

This was the first time I tried the original Barley & Board. The Grandscape location is the one I have been to. The wagyu pastrami is one of my favs even though I’d normally never order pastrami sandwiches. Love all the flavors! I substituted the chips for a salad and I still ended up with a plate of chips. Love the vibe of the old building.

Something for everyone! Stopped through town and had dinner here from a recommendation and couldn't be more pleased! A fantastic menu that lets you stop by for a beer and a burger or elevate it to some fantastic eats with their cheese board and fried quail! If I lived closer I'd be a regular in no time!

Solid 4.5 stars. Ordered a French press coffee ($5). Nice flavor served with cream and sugar on the side. Opened with a Chicken Fried Oyster Mushrooms ($13) based on server's (Morgan) recommendation. Decent portion size and visually satisfying. Good crunch but lacking in flavor. Some seasoning in the batter would've done wonders. Temperature felt as if it was previously fried and waiting in a warming area until ordered. Would not order this again. For entree, I then had the Wagyu Pastrami Sandwich ($18) with house made chips. This was quite nice and good sized portion too. All-in with tip (20%] was $46 for dinner. Pricey? Yes, but location premium and the atmosphere are partially what you pay for. Worth a try for sure if you're looking for a date spot or somewhere to go beyond the usual restaurant chains.

Wow! What an amazing place. The food is fantastic, one of the best pork tenderloins I’ve ever eaten. Bread pudding was fantastic as well. Lily and the rest of the staff were super friendly and attentive. It made our anniversary a memorial evening! Thank you so much Barley & Board. We will be back.

When visiting the area we found this gem and truly enjoyed the whole experience, especially the drinks. It's hard to find a good whiskey sour and this team consistently nailed it. They also house some fun beers and tasty house cocktails. The staff was very friendly and attentive but also knowledgeable. Will definitely be back the next time I'm up there!

The staff here was super friendly and amazing. The board was delicious and beautiful and my husband had an old fashion and I had one of their mocktails - we loved it all! Will definitely be coming back. Great vibes and awesome music.

I don't understand why the host selected the uncomfortable wood benches without backs for our party. He did just his job and did nothing to go above and beyond to make us feel welcome to this establishment. We are from other states and are in Dentin for events throughout the year. Visited this restaurant for the first time . He could do better. Had to ask to be moved to a booth /chair combination. The food is delicious. I liked it enough to visit again.

If you're in the Denton Square area, this restaurant is a definite must visit! It's beautifully themed, good portions, standard pricing and OUTSTANDING customer service. The manager walks by every table and gives personal recommendations for the local spots nearby (which was super helpful since it was our first visit!). Our server (MOLLY B) was so friendly and attentive. Definitely ask for her table if you're a first-timer 😉. Ladies Restroom: Very nice 👍🏼

The food was well. The chicken mushrooms was tasty. The Lacy Salad was yummy. I had the Chicken pot pie which was different as you can see in the picture. However it tasted good. Kaitlyn was our server and she gave us amazing service.

Get a chefs choice charcuterie, everything on menu looked incredible and cocktails were on point. Top notch service and overall experience, can’t wait to try more here!

The atmosphere and location are great. I enjoyed the burger; it was cooked and flavored well. When the waitress asked, I did let her know that the burrata wasn’t great. We all agreed; wouldn’t order again. It’s advertised as heirloom tomato and lemonette, but unfortunately tasteless with stale bread. North Italia is much better.

I recently relocated from CA—and a foodie friend from LA was visiting her parents nearby..we were pleasantly delighted with our experience here. We both had craft cocktails—and a fully appetizing charcuterie board. What a lovely relaxed day and unique experience.

Good place, a good environment, and good service. Don't have a variety on the menu. The menu is simple, I think is a little bit pricey for a sandwich, burgers, and steak with salad. But if you are in the area you can give it a chance.

Barley & Board came highly recommended and I see why! Cool warehouse restaurant in The Square in Denton. You need to check it out. If you drink alcohol, go with a smashed option (muddled fruit) with alcohol. The mezcal and whiskey smash were my favorite. Great fresh hummus. We got the pork tenderloin and salmon. I want to try the risotto next time. Delicious food and cool ambience.

We had a great meal at Barley & Board! The buffalo mozzarella capresse salad was delicious as was the rest of our meal. Delicious and great atmosphere!
