If you’re looking for a place to rent, do yourself a favor and don’t rent from Uptown Square. Since March of 2022, I have had nothing but problems. From being told they would negotiate my rent, to them raising it 18.1% with no negotiations after I complained about their lackluster communication and customer service. The leasing manger refuses to speak with residents face to face. Most recently, I am dealing with a flooded apartment. While I understand the weather causes issues, my issue is that I have been out of town for holiday travel and was not notified that my apartment had flooded, they had entered and moved all of my furniture and placed 3 fans and a dehumidifier. 72 hours later from the community email that went out on Christmas Eve, I still had no contact to let me know my apartment was affected. My boyfriend went over to pick up his charger and was greeted by the above mentioned equipment. I finally got ahold of leasing today to be told oh we are sorry you weren’t the only one affected. While I understand that to be the case, a quick call to let me know that the apartment I pay almost $2700 a month for was at this rate pretty much uninhabitable would have been nice. Maybe if they would have fixed my balcony door that is thoroughly rotted in which I put in a maintenance request in October of 2021, they wouldn’t have pipes bursting as often as they do. Trust me, this isn’t just a cold weather issue, I am aware of numerous tenants and units that have pipes burst in the warmer months. Do yourself a favor a spend your money elsewhere.

RUN FROM THIS PLACE! I have lived here for 3 years. It's always something. They cycle through staff so regularly they don't even know each other. They always choose the cheapest fix. The main reason I stay is because the Indi (and ONLY the Indi, don't be caught off guard like we were that all the pictures are of it and not the 90% of just regular plain apartments) is a neat industrial design and it's in a great location. The first floor had a section that needed redone and they chose to just fill it with regular concrete and it looks ridiculous. Before too long it'll look just like any other apartment complex if they keep it up. If you have issues with your neighbors, like the ones below us that let their dog bark for hours straight while my husband is trying to work from home, you're on your own. Talking to multiple staff members gets you either ignored or told they will "talk to them about quiet hours" which who knows what the hell that means. Oh and don't waste your time trying to follow the rules about parking. I pay $1800 a year to park our vehicles here and it's not worth the money. Just piggyback off someone going in or get in through the gate that is broken every other week. They have NEVER towed anyone in the 3 years I've lived here and over a dozen cars sit in the garage for months without passes. Even if they did tow someone now, the $300 it costs to get it out is way less than the thousands I've spent legally parking in there. Oh and if you change vehicles just expect it's going to take two weeks, 6 people, and 3 visits to the office to get it accomplished. They'll also nickel and dime you $25 for a new sticker. This place is a joke unless you enjoy having your rent going to "Wine Down Wednesdays" where the staff and a few residents can drink your money away.

I should have known this place was a complete joke when I went to view an apartment, and they knew I was interested, and the next day when I went to apply, they raised the price by $200. I still decided to live here for the location, but looking back, I wish I never did. It was nearly impossible to reach anyone in the leasing office by phone, text, or email. No messages were ever returned. But when you walk into the office, there’s 2-3 people sitting around, chatting about their personal lives instead of doing their jobs. Almost all maintenance requests would go ignored, or better yet, closed out before any work was done. AC went out for WEEKS in the middle of the summer with no compensation. Fire alarms would go off constantly, especially in the middle of the night. The courtyards are filled with off-leash dogs and entitled owners who can’t clean up after their dogs or themselves. Door locks are constantly broken, and homeless people sleep in the trash rooms. Also, don’t expect to get your security deposit back. We cleaned our entire apartment before we left, and then still got charged, almost to the dollar, the exact amount of our deposit. Of course, any attempts to discuss this with the staff went ignored (but they were so quick to cash the check I sent). Bottom line, management is greedy, and the leasing office staff is beyond incompetent.

I live here for 3 months. I was out of country for 28 days in a month. My electricity bill is $150 for the month I wasn't in the house. Upon checking they aren't providing an explanation of the charges. This has become common for the community to charge unrealistic and unreasonable electric bills. I found this pattern with all my friends who live in this community. No transparency whatsoever in these bills. Only response I get it come talk to the management where they aren't willing to provide any data. I'm 100% sure these are incorrect charges. Surely won't recommend this apartment to anyone.

Living here has been one annoying occurrence after another. The leasing office is impossible to reach unless you show up in person. There are 20 different emails and phone numbers you could reach out to but you won’t get a response back unless you call 30 times in a row for someone to finally pick up the phone. I sincerely try to be understanding but it gets to a point as a resident where I have no choice but to show up in person asking for help which is insane. I’ve never had an apartment community be this famously unresponsive. Renewing our lease has been like pulling teeth because there’s no clear method of communication and no transparency from the office on when or how we can expect to hear from them. We choose to stay bc the rent is so cheap but it’s not without extreme and ridiculous challenges. If you ever need anything from anyone just don’t because you won’t get it. Fire alarms go off all the time, packages stolen constantly bc staff doesn’t do anything about the overflowing package room. Our actual apartment is fine but the second we need anything we dread having to call because we know it’s going to take weeks to hear anything back. Extremely extremely disheartening.

If I could give 0 starts I would. This has been hands down the worst apartment experience I have EVER had. Stay far away! Not only have I had a persistant mold problem that they either paint over or straight tell me thats just " the smell of the paint they use "  since I moved in. But now after a tremendous amount of flooding from water mains bursting 2 weeks ago and flooding mine and many other units. I still dont have a habitable space sinve 1/15/24 and it is now 1/28/24. Not only have the property managment done the absolutely bare minimum in keeping communications with us about my unit but it has had water seeping up from the kitchen floors up until two days ago. I have only gotten  repeat copied and pasted "update emails". But after going in circles with the office staff about an updates on my unit i became frustrated and threatened legal council. DO NOT DO THAT. The entire property staff has been instructed to not speak to me at all so now i get no updates. I was really patient and understanding at first because i know I am not the only one who is effected by these floods. But I have a severly asthmatic and special needs child so it isnt safe for us to stay in that unit. Nothing was ever offered to us other than asking if we can stay with friends or just holld up in the bedroom even though i cant use my kitchen and livig room space. Ive spent over $800 dollars in hotels fees to just be told "thats what you have renters insurance for."  Below will be photos and videos of what this property management deems habitable and its progression. I wanted to like this place so bad because its a nice neighborhood, close to work and its secure because I am a DV survivor and a single mother.. But this is so sad that this is deemed acceptable in any way whatso ever. Stay far away and find another place besides Uptown Square. I wish i lived somewhere else becsuse this was the worst decision I have ever made. I'm very sad and disappointed.

My only issue with this apartment complex was getting issues solved. I had four staff members handling an issue of a rent credit being refunded to me. All four couldn't get it done, and all four quit. Luckily, Carlos Estrada and Edward Sack, who are new, came in and solved the issue in two days. I'm happy and hopeful for the rest of my stay here. I love my unit, and I love the location. I hope Uptown holds onto them, and I hope they continue to serve our community.

Toured my new apartment and signed my lease a couple weeks later! I worked with Krista originally, and the day of move in I worked with Marcus and Carlos. Let me say this team is busy but absolutely professional! I love my new apartment and very thankful for the front office being so kind and proficient through this process.

These apartments were nice and Krista really made my experience very enjoyable, I went in about 2 weeks ago and can not get this place out of my head. Krista was really the highlight of it all; very welcoming, extremely knowledgeable about the property, and super helpful. She definitely had all the answers to my questions with a warm smile along with it. Very interested in this property and their friendly leasing agent.

WORST!!! Called and texted several times to adjust my appointment. No one answered. Decided to drop by anyways. Entered the leasing office and received nothing but attitude, like it was an inconvenience but yet two people were sitting in the leasing office. They said building is so much in demand and they had no to one show it. Didn’t seem like they were interested in customer service or doing their jobs. Steer clear. This place near homeless alley on 22nd St. Then I read the other reviews. I should have read them first. Save your time and keep walking.

This has been my first renting experience. I chose it primarily because of the price ($1017/mo for 500sq ft studio) and the location. I liked Uptown when I first started renting. The leasing agents seemed friendly enough out the gate, and the common areas all seemed very nice. The problems started when the fire alarms started going off through all hours of the night. They won't get their system fixed, so the alarms go off whenever water pressure changes, or a pipe bursts. Both of which happen frequently. I was unable to keep my cat with me because she was becoming so afraid all the time due to the noise. And that includes the outside noise. I knew living in Denver would have more traffic/city sounds. Comes with the territory. However, homeless encampments cropped up surrounding nearby parks, closing down sidewalks across the streets, and many homeless people would hang out around our buildings. The security at Uptown Square did a great job of protecting the place, as I saw them through all hour of the night chasing people from the dumpsters. However, I was still woken up more than once by people screaming through the streets and fighting. Very scary. What sealed my decision to leave this apartment building was when pipes burst on the top floor of late July 2023. There was reportedly 4 inches of water. And all of that water leaked down to the floors below, including my apartment. Thankfully, it was only my pantry affected, but others had to move all of their belongings (that weren't destroyed) out and have their apartments gutted. As of writing this, January 2024, the drywall in my floor's hallway only just went up a couple weeks ago, and they sprayed paint everywhere (including the ground, so I tracked paint into my place because I couldn't get in any other way)... And more pipes just burst so more clean ups are on the way. I talked to residents who had these things happen to them across years, having all of their belongings destroyed due to burst pipes, and being woken through all hours from fire alarms. No one even goes outside or notices the water damage anymore, it's all so common. If the apartments put half the money they spend on patches into actually fixing what was wrong, this would be an ok place to live. But as of now, it's almost unlivable for me and I'm leaving because of it after just 1 year. Not everything was terrible, but most of it was. So renters, take heed.

I have been living at this apartment for a year and have loved it. I love the area and the convenience of the nearby restaurants and shops. The individuals that work in the leasing office have always been so helpful whenever I have needed something which in my time has only been when I wanted to sign and when I wanted to resign. Carlos at the leasing office was such a great help with resigning my lease. I was stressed about resigning and what that process would be but he made It such a quick process along with being so friendly. There were many people in the office for tours and signing and he was tentative and didn’t make me feel like he was just trying to get to others while working with me. If you are thinking about living here do because I’ve loved every second of it.
