The bouncers here are racist. They refused a friend entry into the bar because he "looks like a gang member." Others have apparently run into the same issue on multiple other occasions here. I tried to contact the manager and they have ignored my calls. This is absolutely unacceptable, blatant racism -don't support this bar!!!

Denied entry for visible face and neck tattoos very rudely, prior to going made sure I was in dress code as I looked it up in case, nothing online or written about visible tattoos being a cause for denied entry, was not quiet or kind. Is this a rule, personal discrimination? Horrible as I was not alone, sober and looking to start our night there

As a Denver native I highly recommend you don’t waste your money here. Terrible service and the security and bouncers are extremely aggressive. I was thrown to the ground by security and they were very physical during October fest. Super negative atmosphere. Not worth it. The physical abuse that goes on here is super uncalled for.

Place was great until the end of the night it was my wife’s birthday and we thought let’s go have some drinks here. Nope!!! Bad idea!!!! It came down to closing time my wife had more than enough to drink and was throwing up in the bathroom. Security guards came by and rudely pushed everyone out even though plenty family members tried to explain she needed help they continued to push us out eventually leading to me getting punched by security and shoved out the door. DPD seen it all and didn’t do anything but continued to push everyone out this is unacceptable not just from the staff the gin mill but also by DPD for not helping out during a time of wrong. Never again will I waste my money there and think it a safe place to enjoy a birthday!!

I was in town for the weekend and my friend said we should try this spot out. One of the bouncers literally pushed me for no reason. I asked a different employee for a manager and they couldn’t find one. The bartender agreed what the bouncer did wasn’t right and even gave me a free drink to make up for it. I do appreciate that but I’ll never go back to The Ginn Mill. The bartenders knew exactly which bouncer I was talking about so I’m sure management can find out and reprimand him. He’s definitely on a power trip. I would NOT recommended checking this place out. Plenty of other spots in the area where the employees show respect and decency.

I had the unfortunate event of racial profiling at this establishment. Me and a friend (I am black and she is Mexican for context) had just arrived at this bar, ordered a drink, and went to the bathroom. We had just been talking to our bartender Elliot before we went to the bathroom. Upon coming out, we were told we need to leave ASAP. When I asked what did we do, I was met with the response, “I don’t owe you an explanation”. My freshly poured drink (that I hadn’t even drunk yet) was snatched out of my hands and thrown in the trash. When further demanding an explanation, I was then told “I’m being nice right now but I’m about to pick you up and throw you out”. Three to four MALE security guards approached us and started to physically remove my friend and were way too overly aggressive. The only reason they were able to come up with was that she (my friend) had dropped her ID and bumped her head when reaching down to pick it up. Of course, there were other women in the bathroom throwing up, but we were getting kicked out for no apparent reason. They also threatened to call the cops on us for asking why we were being so aggressively approached and rude. Upon telling my story and reading reviews, this is not the first time this bar has had racist encounters with customers. I’ve tried to contact this bar multiple times and each time the phone is picked up and hung up. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BAR.

If I could give 0 stars. The bouncers come yelling at my husband to take his mask off (being Halloween night) and he asks them why are they yelling at him when he didn’t know he couldn’t wear his mask. Less than a second later they put him on a chokehold and kick him out, punch me and push me as I’m trying to tell them he wasn’t trying to do anything wrong. NEVER IN MY LIFE GOING BACK HERE AND I AM PRESSING CHARGES. These bouncers are the most entitled I have ever seen do not waste your time or money coming here.

Great location. Fair prices. It was very quiet when we went in on a Friday night around 6PM. Note: we went here because my friend thought this was a gin bar. It is NOT a gin bar. It's a regular bar that is named GinN (two Ns). They were kind about explaining the misunderstanding and gave us two wonderful Gin drinks. Not a true 5 star bar not because of the misunderstanding but this is a stereotypical bar, clean, with average prices. AKA standard expectations receive a standard star rating. Find a way to kick it up a notch and get that last star! That nit aside: I recommend this place for a quick drink!

If I could leave multiple 1 star reviews I would. Tried to give benefit of the doubt in that maybe it was one bad night, but no. Every. Single. time. This has to be one of if not the worst establishment in downtown denver. If you like hanging with gang members, constant solicitations for drugs or otherwise, and a rude, unfriendly, and outright aggressive staff this is your place. Save your money and go somewhere else. Will never be returning here.

Very lively on the Friday night we were here. It was awesome. The atmosphere is also pretty sweet. We only ordered basic spirits to drink but the service was nice and they were happy to give me extra lime in my rum and coke. The only issue I can think of was that it didn't seem like social distancing was enforced at all upon entering. So many people were standing next to each other at the bar.

The bartenders were not very friendly and the place was a mess. I was told by one staff member the women’s restroom didn’t need toilet paper and that no one would get any. First time here and would definitely not go back. My drink was okay and the bottled beer wasn’t very cold.

Rustic looks as you walk in open up to a full blown dance stage set up in the back making a vibrant scene for anyone walking in for a drink

Bouncers were VERY RUDE! Waited in a long line just for the bouncer to say if “I’m going to have attitude then I need to leave” and got kicked out before I even got in 😂 and ALL I did was show my ID! CRAZY ! NEVER coming back! Taking my money else where!

It was free charge the drinks are a little expensive and the mostly played Spanish music and very few hip hop or r&b songs which kinda isn't good. Very small place to dance but it was fun

Not enough staff to help. Drinks were over priced. The doorman definitely aggressive. Probably understandably means that he was given a fake ID. That of course puts the establishment at risk and he did a great job taking it. Not enough places to be able to sit down but the wallpaper was very cool.

Place is a trash house with trashy people that work there from bartenders to security. They over serve people and then kick them out or make them sit out front and wait on a cab.

Horrible experience! They kicked me out in 3 minutes. Saying I was too drunk! I don't even drink. I went to socialize! I was with my brother!

Miss this bar. Best DJ in town. Compared to 98% of DJs I've seen. They know how to light the crowd up. Wish you guys could come to Tampa.

This bar is cool, however it's so crowded. You can easily meet up with friends maybe meet some new people. You can't have an ok conversation it's too loud. Unless you bring your own personal bouncers it can be hard to dance.

Never enough bartenders for the demand, and the place is filthy. However, DJ is always pretty good. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced. It can hold a ton of people; likely one of the largest bars in Denver. If possible, spend your time in the nautically themed room. The lines are shorter and you can hear yourself think.

Came by for an eagles playoff game because Larimer beer hall was at capacity. They had the game playing on plenty of screens and the audio was loud throughout the whole bar. Also $5 tap beer and well drinks was a great deal. Overall good vibe for Philly sports!

Always packed with people and dirty but what can you expect from a bar downtown on Saturday nights? Overall good vibe with good music and dancing. Fun place to try out if you're looking for somewhere fun in Denver to get out and go to.
