I have been going to the viking on and off for 40 years .I spent alot of money and I cleaned up my rounds never seen the bartender Diamond or the waitress until they both made it out there to talk with my male friends I was standing on the other side of the patio when I over heard both diamond and waitress talking about me when I went a couple of weeks later with out my male friends for a benefit I was talking to a female and diamond was bartender she asked me if I was better all I said was yes than she wanted to get aggressive and told me to lower my mask I asked why wearing it for a reason personal already knew what was next she motion to door man told me to leave she is always treated me good in front of my face if not with male she has attitude. How long can she take it out on me

I’ve grown up on East colfax and have never once seen this type of racism in my life. I was with my friend who is Black who was in town visiting and had never stepped foot into this bar and the old hag bartender told us he could not come in because the last time he was there he had caused trouble. My friend had never been to The Viking before and I wanted to take him to a cool colfax dive bar, but they aren’t good people in there anymore. They are the most racist people I have ever met in my life and kicked us both out because they didn’t want a black man in their bar. DO NOT SUPPORT this racist bar !!

Omg! Such a rare find. Great staff, great prices, love the dive bar vibe. Cool and shady patio, too. Also…can we talk about the people watching is sublime.

Always good service. Diamond is GREAT!!! Other bartenders are also; I'm partial to Diamond cuz we be knowin each other & she been there longest. People there look out for each other=like it supposed to be

I called and asked to speak with a Manager and the Female employee working at 2:30pm on Wednesday 06/21/2023 hung up on me. I called back and she picked up the phone and yelled at me. Those were the only two times I tried calling. Customer service is awful. The female employee referenced above sounds like a hateful human being.

Surprised it's still in business. Asked Diamond I could charge by e-bike, which I'm not sure she'd ever heard of before. Said yes, but acted like I was asking for free food or something and she was unnecessarily rude when I clarified I was charging a bike not a phone. They definitely won't see me again. This bar is just for neighborhood locals who know the bartender, apparently, hostile to outsiders. Go somewhere with a good reputation, this one is living up to it's low Google ratings

Only had one beer a a shot Also I was the only customer but in that short time I was able to unwind and felt VERY relaxed the bar tender was very welcoming

Would have a higher rating if it was not a cash only bar. The patio was nice to people watch on and the bartenders are friendly.

I had a fantastic time at this little spot... Patty was excellent! She basically read my mind and knew exactly what kind of drink I wanted before I even did, was impressive if I'm being honest here. I will be back. See you there!

Don't know what it was before other than a biker hangout however is a nice place to be environment sweet respect the ladies and your golden.. Don't forget to tip

Legendary bar on Colfax and a staple to the Barnum neighborhood. Friends with all the locals and bartenders, and I don't make friends easily. Definitely, my neighborhood and go to bar to chill and enjoy company!

This is one bar that never fails me even though it's been there a while I still love it

Really wish they’d get smaller glasses instead of the mugs they have. Besides that it’s always an interesting experience here.
