Hands down the best museum I've been to in my entire life- and I'm an art student in NYC! Besides the art, the gallery quality and architecture itself is so fascinating, wholesome, and a designed experience. Clyfford Still is truly a genius in art in the most formal definition, and his transcendent work will appeal to those mindful-seeker individuals who will see through to Still's well-documented spiritual experience.

I brought a group of 12 students here. If you're a school or big group, call them and they will have someone show you around! My school didn't do that, but my students still loved it and were all asking parents to go back during our spring break. I loved the art and wish I had more time to see everything. But the cost was super low, and it means I'll be coming back!

The building is spectacular and all Clyfford Still’s works are just impressive! Spent about an hour and a half here and it was long enough to see it all and admire the beauty of these amazing paintings.

Well well well… if it ain’t Mr. Clyfford Still! So many different varieties of painting styles and apparently, a great outdoor terrace with cool things that hang and shine. Color pallet was masterful. Canvas size, was extra large. 10/10 would recommend. Don’t overthink it.

An extensive collection of one of the great yet somewhat unknown abstractionist, Clifford Still. There are many works too big to fit anywhere but a gallery. Lots of sketches, notes and other personal items that Clifford kept for the most part out of the public's eye. A very well thought out museum in an architecturally interesting building.

Beautiful museum with clear layout. No description for paintings - leaving audience imagining, which is quite interesting.

Pretty small museum and not that interesting, I was done in about an hour. All the art is somewhat similar and I guess this genre isn't really for me. Kirkland across the street is way more interesting

Just a wonderful small museum focusing on a lesserJust a wonderful small museum on an artist you can see (almost) only in Denver. Mostly large-scale abstract paintings with striking color palettes. The architecture is also fantastic and it’s a great place to take a walk and relax. They change canvases every ~6 months and hold weekend concerts occasionally.

Stunning in every possible way possible! The art, the gardens, the service, and the architecture are all flawless. The art, of course, is the crowning achievement. My granddaughter is quite fond of the art area located upstairs, where they have a wide variety of wonderful materials to use in their creations.

A jewel of a place. A must see for any Still admirer and worth visiting if you are unaware of his work.

I thought a whole gallery filled with just one painter might be too much, but because Still's art and technique changed as he got older this place is great. Fantastic art, very well explained and great staff.

Stunning all the way around! From the architecture, to the grounds, to the staff, and of course the art, perfection. My granddaughter loves the art room upstairs where they have a lot of great materials to make art with!

Absolutely phenomenal artwork, friendly staff, and a space to really get into the feel of creating art like his.

I didn't expect to like this museum but everything about it is a gem. I don't "get" abstract expressionism but the curators have done an outstanding job tracing the evolution of this artist and making the art more accessible to the layperson. We spent 1.5 hours and really enjoyed every aspect. The entrance fee is affordable. We engaged in interesting conversation with the staff. I walked out understanding a lot more about an important period of art history.

I found this “museum” very boring. Since Still’s paintings are so huge each room contained about 4 pieces, and there weren’t many rooms. There were no explanations or information about the pieces or the artist, and we went through the whole place in less than 30 minutes. For a ticket price of $15 I would expect a little more than an oversized gallery.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Clyfford Still Museum and I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment you walk in, you are transported into the world of abstract expressionist artist Clyfford Still. The museum's stunning architecture, combined with the careful curation of Still's works, creates an immersive and captivating experience. The collection on display is truly breathtaking, with an emphasis on showcasing Still's later works which are often considered some of his most powerful. Each piece is thoughtfully placed and accompanied by detailed explanations, providing visitors with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the artist's process and vision. I particularly appreciated the museum's commitment to preserving Still's legacy, as evidenced by the extensive conservation and restoration efforts that have gone into the collection. The museum's attention to detail and respect for the artist's work is truly impressive. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Clyfford Still Museum for anyone who appreciates modern art and wants to learn more about one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. It's a hidden gem in Denver that should not be missed!

Boutique museum well laid out covering an artist that should have been considered a master of abstract. Must see installation for sure!!

Nice space. Photos of building misleading. The angled building is the Denver Museum, behind the Still. Not as impressed with his long face, big feet period...even though that may be his defining work. Still ( no pun intended ) an enjoyable experience.

What a beautiful museum! I’m already a big fan of Still, one of the premiere abstract expressionists, so I knew I’d love their collection, but I wasn’t prepared for the beautiful, minimalist purpose-built exhibition space. Bonus points for making the space very comfortable with benches and approachable didactics, which makes the spaces accessible and family-friendly. If you aren’t familiar with Still, be prepared to be blown away by the beauty and scale of his paintings. Highly recommend.

I went on one of their free days and I loved the experience. All of the areas had great informational signage and I loved the little art area. The building is gorgeous. Would recommend!

It was my son and I first visit to the Clyfford Still museum. It was a very enlightening experience seeing the progression of his work in different media. We also had the luxury of going on their monthly music day. To hear the beautiful sounds of a cello and violin as we walk throughout the gallery was memorizing. Will go back .

All Clifford Still art, shows artistic progression from realism to abstraction. Great Depression era and WW2 paintings a bit difficult to see, (Incase you are bringing kids.)

Neat little museum! I do think they could have had more pieces up in some of the rooms! They literally had 4 small pantings in several massive rooms which seems like such a waste.

Incredible and unique. I can only think of one other museum focused on one artist as affecting as this one; the Picasso museum in Paris. Truly a treasure!

Art is definitely based on your taste. So I don’t want to be too opinionated. However, I didn’t find this to be one of the best museums I’ve been too. Again, the art wasn’t my taste, but I’m happy I stopped by because, for me, the show stopper was the live performance. They did an amazing job and if this museum continues offering performances like this all the time, I believe they’ll have ample visitors, with varying art preferences, stop by.

A rich experience of one artist's life span from realism in his 20's to grand abstract paintings near the end and examples of the transitions along the way. Most rooms are filled with natural light so you won't get that "sleepy museum" feeling.

Great art, amazing! It's small so you can spend a lot of time with the art. You can even see "behind the scenes" like storage and conservation. The architecture is amazing and marches the art too. Security was very friendly and informative. Front desk was great too. Educational program, it was interesting and informative but the education director Victoria very rude- nasty-. Made me sad at such a great museum!

Lovely museum, interesting building, helpful staff. Due to the size of the collection so many works are not displayed, but they rotate some in and out regularly from what I understand. Go with an open mind and some time to kill!
