We love this restaurant! Max's Gill & Grill! From the great owner Kevin, the servers, to the entire staff, always wonderful service! The food is incredible, and their seafood! Thank you for treating us like family, from the moment we walk in! From Brian & Shelley! Still the best place in Denver!

The drinks were super yummy and the waitress was super nice. This place wasn’t very clean, the Calamari was awful and breading was gritty and falling off. Wouldn’t really recommend at this time. They did share that they have poly fans on making some changes soon, so maybe we’ll give it another try later on down the line.

We went to Max Gill & Grill last night, and we have a fantastic time. The interior setup and overall atmosphere transported us out of Colorado to some undefined coastal town. It was cozy. Our server was friendly and fast, checking in frequently. The drinks were great, and the food was delicious. We tried the crab dip and the char-grilled oysters for our starter and the lobster Mac & Cheese and a lobster roll for our main dish. All of those items were fantastic, although the crab dip could have used some more bread. We've already decided that we'll be back soon.

Absolutely loved this place. Very cozy and energizing atmosphere. The layout is really nice and service was great. We had happy hour on Sunday and got mussels oysters and margaritas. All were great.

First service was great, some hick ups happened but our server Jeremy who calls himself Steve, ha, remedied them and was very cool. Love the atmosphere and enjoyed the summertime smash drink. Grilled and Fried calamari both delicious, fried a little better for obvious reasons. Parmesan truffle fries definitely enjoyable. Fish tacos, ok. Crab cakes, ok. Was told the BBQ ribs were delicious. Roasted mushroom side, delicious. Desserts were really good. I'm only visiting but I would definitely come visit again. Good people here.

Great atmosphere and vibe and decor, super yummy food, and cheap boozy drinks. Can't go wrong here. The seafood is exceptional (my scallops were BOMB and even my mom who doesn't like clam chowder LOVED the clam chowder). This is a great restaurant and I uifhky recommend it to anyone. All our food was well portioned and delicious - a French dip, scallop risotto, roasted chicken, and clam chowder.

I love this place. It's been one of my favorites for years and it seems to only get better. They have a great happy hour and the drinks are always good. The broth the mussels are cooked in is incredible and I can never come here without ordering them! My partner has a shellfish allergy and still enjoys this place as much as I do. It's perfect for special occasions or just a casual night out.

Good truffle fries and tuna poke. The lobster roll was also delicious. They have gluten-free buns to put any of your sandwiches on. Our server Kyle was fabulous!

A couple of months ago, I enjoyed a delightful cocktail over brunch at Max Gill and Grill in the 'Old South Pearl Street' neighborhood: The Catalina Wine Mixer. (Fresh watermelon, cucumber, rosé wine and vodka)

Best seafood in Denver. I am a transplant, and missed quality seafood at a place that didn't feel 'uppity.' Awesome neighborhood eatery in Wash Park.

This place is awesome. It’s a gem nestled amongst a ritsy neighborhood. Reminds me of a beach side seafood shack in Florida. Great food and really good drinks all at fair prices. It’s happy hour all day on Thursdays so that means $6 cocktails which is unheard of in Wash Park.

We had a wonderful dinner as a group of 6. They took our reservation in advance and our table was ready. The server, Jeremy I believe, was absolutely fantastic. He made the outing such a pleasure with his helpfulness, attention, and friendly nature. The food was also very good. We literally tried half the menu (happy hour FTW) and especially liked the oysters, mussels, and shrimp apps. The lobster roll was solid as a main, and the mac-n-cheese was delish. Highly encourage folks to give this place a try.

Food was amazing! Probably the best Crab Asiago dip & scallops I've ever tasted. Highly recommend the salmon as well. Unfortunately we had to interrupt our waiters acting career (or something) so he could serve us. Took 25 minutes to get drinks after we were seated on an empty Tuesday. "They're working on your wine"...hum? Might be worth the wait, dunno. Definitely casual vibe, but once the food actually arrived it was exceptional.

Be transported into a beautifully aged, salty, seaside restaurant and bar with delicious apps and sumptuous entrees. Personally, I recommend the truffle fries, fish tacos, and don't miss the old fashioned. Highly recommend.

Food and service were outstanding! Our server Colin was excellent, attentive and funny. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the swordfish. Both dishes were excellent with the fish and chips not being over battered and sized right. The swordfish was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Cocktails were balanced, refreshing, and pretty cheap especially compared to similar resturants. Parking isnt bad if you get down there early but they do have valets and well. We dont get down to that area often but will definitely be back!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Had a bit of a late dinner but that did not affect service or quality of food at all. We sat at a table in the bar and Eriq took great care of us. For the quality of food, I thought prices were reasonable. Oysters on happy hour were a deal and were delicious. Laid back, homey vibe. Will be back

Max Gill & Grill is my go to place in Wash Park. It’s perfect for date night or an family meal with the kids. I highly recommend the lobster rolls. Great deal on happy hour oysters and cocktails. I can’t wait to return.
