The
most
positive
experience
I’ve
ever
had
in
a
hospital.
I
have,
unfortunately,
a
number
of
experiences
staying
in
the
hospital.
I
have
always
felt
that
the
hospital
is
the
worse
place
to
recover,
the
worst
place
to
be
when
you
are
sick,
because
you
can’t
get
rest,
which
is
what
you
desperately
need.
Lights,
machines,
beeps,
people
talking
all
hours,
nurses
coming
in
multiple
times,
one
right
after
the
other,
roommates
who
watch
TV
all
night
with
the
sound
blasting.
That
was
not
my
experience
at
Presbyterian
St
Luke’s.
The
nursing
staff
was
exceptional,
taking
great
care
to
disturb
as
little
as
possible,
they
responded
to
call
bell
immediately,
worked
great
as
teams.
There
was
no
change
in
quality
of
care
from
the
day
shift
to
the
night
shift.
There
was
no
rushing
to
wake
up
in
the
morning
to
get
meals,
in
fact
the
nurses,
once
shift
changed,
would
turn
down
the
curtains
and
lights
so
I
could
get
more
rest.
And
private
rooms
so
each
patient
is
attended
to
as
needed
without
disturbing
others.
The
Hospitalist
I
saw
were
well
versed
on
me
and
my
case
and
took
the
time
to
make
sure
I
was
comfortable
and
healing
as
I
should.
I
was
not
on
a
restrictive
diet
and
I
can
say
the
food
available
to
order
was
extensive
and
was
delicious.
The
Surgical
unit
was
equally
as
positive.
While
everyone
who
needed
to
have
contact
with
me
was
able
to,
I
did
not
feel
like
I
was
being
“set
upon”
by
everyone.
The
pre-op
team
was
attentive
and
professional
ensuring
any
anxieties
were
addressed
and
that
I
was
comfortable.
My
anesthesiologist
listened
to
my
previous
experiences
and
my
concerns
and
talked
with
me
about
the
various
options
available
with
me
being
part
of
the
decision
making
process.
Each
part
of
my
team
introduced
themselves
and
explained
their
part
of
the
procedure,
all
while
being
professional
and
efficient
I
would
highly
recommend
Presbyterian
St
Luke’s
to
anyone
who
finds
themselves
in
need
of
hospital
care.
