Medium dining at country sizes! There are classics and more modern flavour combos in the menu so can find something for everyone. Also great for those wanting variety then what else is available in town. Think the menu could use some refining but overall quality matches the cost - it's still a new spot so keen to see what they can do further. The restaurant atmosphere is lovely inside and out, and boasts uninterrupted and stunning views of the mountains and the river. You can spot your favourite trails while having lunch or dinner! The staff are exceptionally friendly and have great recommendations if you're lost for choice. The salmon dish was possibly the biggest serving I've ever received and was still cooked perfectly. Definitely worth a stop when you're in town.

Best beef burger I have ever had. The patty was so thick and juicy, and the jalapeño bacon jam is genius. Amazing menu and amazing service, I want to come back to Derby just for this place!!

Everything about this place is considered, and quite, quite lovely. The food was truly excellent (we had the cider pork belly and roasted vegetable salad). The server (and owner/manager) was fantastic - really knew her stuff and gave excellent recommendations for drinks, which turned out to be perfect for us. Easily the best food we've eaten in Tassie. It's our first time here, and apparently the new managers have only been running this place for a month, but already they are nailing it. Even the art is just perfect. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for coffee before a day on the trails… made an unplanned dinner reservation, advised Jess’ particular dietary needs. Chef took up the challenge and turned out a cracking vegan meal for her. (I can’t cook her mushrooms, so chef did something right!) My pasta was top notch, and the cheeky Tassie gin wasn’t half bad either. If you’re in Derby, put it on the list.

Lovely restaurant to head to after the floating sauna. Had the chicken schnitzel with garlic butter mushrooms for dinner. Don’t normally order a schnitzel but this is definitely a dish I’ll be thinking about in Melbourne. Best crumbed schnitty I’ve had, flavours were fantastic. My friend had the beef burger. The surprising highlight was the relish- perfect combination of spicy and sweet. Wish we didn’t have to drive far that night as the drinks menu looked good and expansive. Dessert was an unexpecting tiramisu. Again, great pairing of flavours- coffee and fresh berries. The staff were so accomodating to us.

Mountain bike mecca!! All trails lead to Derby. Bike shops/hire, shuttles, wash station, pump track, food, fuel, providore, post office, accommodation, history, sauna. A little town offering a lot! Highly recommended Vertigo shuttles and Dorset Hotel. 👌

Delicious feed and coffee! Best spot in Derby. We stopped along our road trip to bay of fires and had amazing beef and chicken burgers. The homemade chips were amazing too. Hope to come back one day soon! Don’t miss this spot!

Excellent fast service and great food with generous portions. Props to the kind tall bearded guy who served us both times we ate here and was super proactive at making sure we had water at our table. Really appreciate that and wish it was more common.

The perfect place to drop in for good coffee or to fill up on some fresh and delicious food after a day out riding. The outlook from the deck is a great place to relax. Staff and friendly and service is great.

Once a thriving tin mining town. Lots of history to explore & if your into mountain biking the town now hosts an abundance of trails for the beginner all the way through to the hardened rider
