We waited 2 hours for our meal on Christmas Day. When it arrived the picture below was my roast beef dinner. When I suggested it was the scrag ends of fat. She told me that is how it is cut. Disgusting. And this cost £69.00. This is the worst Christmas Day meal. Have us our money back for one meal.

Although we were seated quickly. We waited around twenty minutes before anyone came to take our order, we weren't asked about drinks before either. It was not busy, only three other tables were occupied, two of which had already been served their meal. After ordering, we waited about fifteen minutes before waitress came over to say the wine of our choice was our of stock, so we had soft drinks instead. The meal itself was very nice. We went back in that evening for a light meal as we'd had a hot meal at lunch time because travelled over 100 miles and not had breakfast. We were informed as we were taken to our seats that there was no salad, so anything that came with salad was off the menu?! I suggested that someone could run over to the supermarket next door, but was told it was company policy that produce was only allowed to be purchased from certain retailers. I questioned about why allowances couldn't be made when their delivery hadn't turned up to be told no, its against company policy! That is absolutely Ridiculous!! We won't be going there again. Apparently its a regular occurrence with many different foodstuffs at this particular Beefeater. Very Disappointed with a company that used to be very good.

Overpriced and extremely small portions for that price. Staff were lovely but food not so. I had a steak and ale pie. It cost me £15. The pie top was hard that I couldn't cut it with a knife. It tends to happen if food is microwaved after being cooked. Desert was biscoff sundae, one biscuit, one scoop of ice cream and the reminder of the jar filled with spray cream. Clearly there is an initiative to cut corners and save money here. The resturant is overpriced. I won't be visiting again. Would you pay £15 for the picture attached?

Popped in here as it's next to our premier Inn.Took advantage of the half price burger deals in August.Had a really nice pudding too. Brilliant, attentive staff. Very reasonable prices. Would definitely come here again.🙂

Been for breakfast a couple of times recently, great staff very friendly and good with the kids. Breakfast a mix of continental and cooked - the cooked was brought to the table on a quiet Tuesday morning so lovely to have it fresh. Continental selection differed on each visit, a good selection each time. Very good value for money and good service. We will return!

Some of the best waitress staff we have experienced anywhere, always nicely presented food (except one pudding has less in it than the photo) and served quite quickly. Good job. I enjoy their vegan burger, my fried the salmon

Very quiet when we ate dinner (24/9/23). There were staff shortages, advised on arrival, but it didn't slow anything down. Bar staff great, food excellent. Both had fish & chips and we're happy with the meal. The fish was excellent with very crisp batter. Don't worry about portion size, it was well big enough.

This establishment is set on the outskirts of derbys City Centre, it was clean and tidy which gave a good impression on entry, there was only slight wait but nothing to make a fuss about, The waiting staff were very polite. The food was ok but unfortunately the steak was like leather so did let down slightly otherwise the meal was OK, would i go again yes, oh make sure you register your vehicle its free parking for 3 hours while you dine in well done guys

Went on Sunday 26/11 Pretty bad experience. Table booked for 12.45, we were sat at our table by the pleasant manager who apologised we had no cutlery and she would get some. We then had our drinks order pretty soon after, but again we waited 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. When they arrived, I mentioned to the waitress we had no cutlery and she said she would get some. Another 25 minutes had past and the waitress came over to see if we wanted more drinks, I declined but asked for the cutlery for the third time. The food then arrived, and we waited around an hour overall and the food was mediocre. The staff were trying to be pleasant enough but we were sat next to the kitchen and we could hear arguments between the front of house staff and the kitchen staff. This wasn't a great experience for me and my children. A shame because it was great on a previous visit but at a much quieter time.

Food is really delicious 😋, nice and fresh. Stay at the Premier Inn on site so really convenient. Friendly staff, could do with a few more at busy times. Overall very happy 😊

I went with family for dinner yesterday. The starters and pudding was amazing and the service was incredible. The staff were lovely went extra mile. Not only working on Xmas day but could tell it was a stressful one. However they handled themselves beautifully. Wanted to say all staff front of house and back was greatly appreciated. Thank you for your hardwork know was not an easy shift great work guys👍

Just had a drink while waiting for someone from the hospital to arrive. Dogs not allowed inside. However there is a nice little garden area and a covered patio to sit at. (no waiter service). Never many people inside, considering it's lunchtime, everything looks clean and tidy.

Great restaurant, loads of separate areas with seating spaced out. Food was gorgeous, ate waay to much but can't fault anything. Would definitely recommend the steak dish below, 4oz of rump, Sirloin and fillet

Rang to book a table and make sure they had my favourite Triple Crunch chicken wings as last time we went they had sold out. The young lady I spoke to was very helpful. We were a bit early for our booking but were still made welcome and immediately shown to our table. During our meal our waitress checked everything was ok with us and even the young lady who had taken our booking came over to check on us and have a little chat . The food was delivered promptly and was very hot. Delicious!! Will definitely be going back and can highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you everyone.

Very nice Beefeater. Very busy, but we were helped to our table very quickly. Elise T was extremely helpful and friendly. She knows the menu inside out and plenty on knowledge about allergies. Very impressed. Quick service and lovely food.

Ordered half a chicken off the menu. Asked to have the chips replaced with rice as I don't eat fries. They took my house-slaw sweetcorn, fries and beans off the meal in replacement for rice! Chicken slimey and all bones. I would say it was the size of a pigeon

I have visited the Mallard many times before and always enjoyed the service and the food. I'm up on a training event again so I though I would stay at the Premier Inn and visit the Mallard for evening meals and breakfast. I was able to book easily via the hotel. They phoned through and made a reservation for me. The service tonight has been really good! As always, a great reception and seated in a nice location. I didn't catch the girls name who was managing this evening but she was excellent. Very helpful informative and polite. I was seated quickly and offered a drink straight away by Natalie. Her level of service was really good. She brought a drink straight over for me. The food was really good as always, a credit to the staff in the kitchen. Natalie cleared my plates quickly and offered me more drinks without the need to wander to the bar. A great level of service by all at the Mallard!

Just had a lovely belly busting big boys breakfast. Which the lady got cooked for me fresh, as opposed to the help yourself bit.. Really lovely. Quick service. With a smile.. Can't get better than that.. Great value..
