It was my first time hiking ever yesterday and what an experience!!! It was absolutely beautiful, so calm and serene. The stepping stones were so worth seeing and the entire area was just breathtaking. Well worth a visit if you're in the area!

Beautiful place for a walk. Unfortunately very busy at weekends. Queuing to cross a river in February? There are more stunning locations in The Peak District.

Trail upto the stepping stone from the car park is easy. About a 10 minute walk. Picturesque and serene. Can be a bit crowded though.

Great place to visit, you can find there stunning views, caves, a few stones to step, hills and river. Because the level of difficulty is easy, this place is overcrowded. Parking is cash only. In the car park you can buy good coffee. People working there are doing great jobs to keep that place in good condition. However, lots of people who visit are not respecting nature and are dumping rubbish everywhere... Have the energy to carry full packs? Do the same with empty... you are guests in nature, but don't count that someone will clean after you.

Fantastic spot to walk too , only downside is the volume of people particularly in the summer , where there are queues to cross the stones. There is a car park about mile from the stones with toilets , you also within walking distance of ilam which is also beautiful

The walk around here was really busy , loads of people had turned up , parking was 5 pound for 4 hours , the trail along the stream was lovely, the trail started to get harder as we walked up the hill , the views where amazing and felt so high up ,
