This place and their staff are amazing. Service was quick and they were on top of their game. We had the big pretzel with the whipped honey butter. The New York Strip was cooked with prefection. The rest of our had the same experience.

Really great, high quality food and drinks. We were a little disappointed with seating availability as you can't make reservations unless you are a member. We were able to get an inside table and had very good service. We live a good drive away, but we will definitely go back when we get a chance.

We rearranged our mountain biking trip at Raystown to be able to stop at Shy Bear on the way home because the reviews were so good! Definitely a good decision!! The area has a great vibe, while the outside has great music and energy! The beers were definitely on point! They have a great variety as well as Pa wines and spirits if you're not feeling like a beer! Our fries and tacos hit the spot! All of the staff were friendly and attentive! Our bar tender took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed! It's definitely a place we intend on going again! Side note... clean bathroom, which is always important!

Great atmosphere. Tasty beverages. Friendly staff and owners. This place is always busy. We asked our neighboring tables for recommendations on our first visit and the other patrons clearly loved this establishment and were happy to guide us. The menu changes seasonally so be willing to try new things. There's outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Check their social media for their entertainment schedule.

Great atmosphere and truly good food and beer!! Another visit to here and ny rating would be higher if I could. Truly a solid 5 star rating! It's hard to believe such a small brewery could have such amazing food and beer. Also, the owners made their way around to introduce themselves. Extremely nice family owned business!!

Staff is welcoming and attentive, they made sure we were seated quickly and our server was fight behind her to take our drink order. Friendly folks with good food, beverages and atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

Unbelievable! Hidden gem, a definite stop every trip north! I have zero bad things to say about Shy Bear, everything from the food to the merchandise, all great, I don't drink beer personally, but they had a fantastic spirits selection, hell I'd come just for another shy burger! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, I spent 20 years in the restaurant industry, I'm not easily impressed, Shy Bear knocked my socks off! Service was great, our server was training a new server, and she was great about navigating the massive beer selection and the training with ease. Great complex, would love to stop in when the outdoor section is open, that looked awesome! If your heading to state college or Mohegan Sun Wilkes Barre for a show or game, or even to Hunting camp, stop in on the way, you won't regret it.

I drove about an hour from Harrisburg on a Sunday late afternoon in August. They had live music on an outdoor stage. I had two beers - Fuzzy Britches and Summer Littles. Both were very good. I ordered the bahn mi sandwich and it was way bigger than I was expecting. This could have been split between two people. I took half of it home for later. It was very good. I was seated right away and my food and drinks all came out quickly. My server was friendly and attentive. Iโ€™m low maintenance and didnโ€™t need much but she checked in often. The band was good. Outdoor seating was nice except for the flies but thatโ€™s the price of sitting outside. The bathroom was clean. Parking lot is small but there were spaces available when I got there. There is a coffee shop next door - not sure of the hours but it seemed close enough that if the parking lot was full you could park there but I canโ€™t say for sure if that is encouraged or not. I only went inside for the bathroom but from what I saw seating in there looked limited. Overall good experience.

Such a chill spot with a unique atmosphere. Service is very good and food quality is at a very high level. The menu is a fun twist on bar favorites with a bunch of unusual finds. Please give this a try, you won't be disappointed. Also live music! Let's go

Everyone here was very nice and attentive! They treated us like regulars even though it was our first time there. The drinks were great, the merch was very cute, and we had a lot of fun playing trivia against each other while enjoying our drinks.

If you're looking for a well-kept secret of Lewistown, then this is it. A very short ride off of 322 brings you to this absolutely stunning establishment. The staff were absolutely fantastic, the menu has something for everyone and the atmosphere is electric. This was my first time there, and I went with the Backyard burger. From the first bite to the last, it was absolutely amazing. The fries were perfectly seasoned. The Bavarian pretzel was massive, and I needed a to go box for it so I could finish it later. This is a must stop destination whether you're in the area already or want to take a drive to enjoy an absolutely amazing establishment. You will be coming back to try something else from their menu. Personal attention from the owner to each patron is a page from bygone days that is sorely missed in today's society, and the attention of the staff to your needs/wants deserves more than 5 star rating. Take the drive and enjoy the day.

Hands down best brewery we have been to in multiple states. The best. Would give them 10 stars if possible. Food and beer were equally fantastic. Even if I wasnโ€™t a drinker, Iโ€™d go back just for the food.

We loved visiting Shy Bear. The beer and food were excellent. What we appreciated most was the ability to bring our dog inside. What a perk to not be worrying about the weather, since we stopped in on a road trip and had her along. Hoping to come back soon!

We chose Shy Bear for our Christmas party this year. We were very pleased with the service and food. Food was very good and the beer accommodated the food very well. The live music made for a great atmosphere. Well done and we highly recommend!

It's a perfect location for any time of the year. A fabulous seasonal menu and a wide range of excellent drink The staff are absolutely amazing and 5 stars don't quite explain how pleasant the experience was Highly recommended for as many visits as you can fit on your calendar.

Unexpected treasure found while traveling the backroads. We arrived at 5:45 pm and the place was packed! There is both outside and inside dining. There was a band playing outside, the tables were packed and there were people just having a grand time. We were seated and had menu's by 6:00 pm. We were waited on promptly and served drinks immediately. The food is superb. The meats and flatbreads come from the smoke house. We gad appetizers and entrees, neither disappointed. The staff is super friendly, the entire premise is spotless. The atmosphere is very inviting and social distancing was practiced. Great evening we will be back!

Such a fun environment! It was our first time there as we were visiting from out of town. They had a musician there that night and he was amazing as well. Our food was phenomenal! Big portions and definitely worth the price. We will be back again when we are in the area! ๐Ÿ’™

Love love LOVE this place. First time visit and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. The staff was knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions. She was willing to share her preferences and was spot on. If you are in the area STOP HERE. If you aren't in the area, make the drive.

Very nice brew pub with an extensive selection of beers and other drinks to satisfy everyone. We stopped after seeing the menu online. They offer dishes that are not the normal pub food. We had Korean Pork Belly Tacos, Philly cheese steak, fish and chips, hamburger and deep fried cheese curds. I must say, I will make the 2.5 hour drive for the tacos. My husband and I enjoyed them that much. 2 other people in our group had the fish and it was unbelievably crunchy. Soo good. Everybody who tried the cheese curds all said that they were extremely good. Service was great and we got our orders pretty quick. All in all, great place to stop if your in the area or out for a long motorcycle ride like we were.

Dropped our son at camp then found this gem to break up a 7 hour round trip. Great food, great service, great vibe, and the beer was good too!

Great food, great selection of beer. They lost our ticket and we had to wait a long time for the food. However, they did take a % off the bill which was very nice.

Come for the beer, stay for the food! Always a large beer menu with a lot of variety. I love to get a flight and see what's new and exciting. We do frequent here, but it's for the food. Great appetizers, wonderful burgers, and creative tacos. It seems like each time I show up there is live entertainment, and it's always great. The staff is great, and the owners circulate and keep things running smoothly. Come in the summer and sit outside for a great experience. See you there!

First time for us visiting Shy Bear... not sure why we waited so long. It's a busy place on weekends but there is plenty of seating inside & outside. We sampled most of the beers and they were great. We like it so much that we got a few bottles to go as gifts. The sheet of nachos is huge! Overall, the service, food and beer were all excellent. We will definitely return again

A wonderful setting in the country on Route 522, not even 10 minutes from U.S Route 322. This was my third visit and I was very pleased each time. They have a outstanding rotation of beers on tap, beers that are well brewed. There is a fine outdoor seating area and they are ๐Ÿ• dog friendly.

Last minute stop for lunch. Food and drinks incredible! Unique, well thought and great presentation for the food. Awesome drink list and overall very very fair pricing for the quality of food and drinks you get. Would recommend to anyone and will drive 1.5 hours again just to come back! We suggest the Korean or Jerk Chicken tacos!
