We attended the Paddle with the platypus tour yesterday, which is really fun! It’s my first time to play paddling, Liam and Fiona are nice, patient with rich wildlife knowledge and experiences. We had a wonderful time paddling on the river, and Liam took lots of pictures for us. Also, they prepared hot tea with cheese and crackers placed nicely on a plate, we had it by the riverside. It’s really a beautiful and memorable adventure experience for us, we recommend this tour to everyone!

It was so amazing!!!!! We saw 4 platypus and one of them was so close to us. Would still be an amazing trip even if we didn't see any at all. We saw the massive eagle nests, the amber autumn colour, beautiful sunset on the glassy calm river.......Liam is so knowledgeable, he and Fiona are delightful couple. And the brownie baked by Fiona was so yummy! Can't wait to do it again or something else with those guys 🥂 ❤️

Fiona and Liam were the perfect hosts and we had a wonderful night. River was up which made spotting platypus a challenge, but we still managed to see one. The kayaking was a great experience and the scenery was amazing. Fiona's home made brownie and a chai tea while floating down the Derwent was the perfect way to top off a great evening. Highly recommend!

Excellent tour, very knowledgeable and friendly guides. Beautiful area and easy kayak. Saw a few platypi but would still be a very worthwhile tour if you were unlucky enough not to see any.

An amazing way to see lake Pedder and the beautiful landscape surrounding it. Liam was really clear, friendly, and most importantly, made us feel safe. He also told us a load of interesting stuff about the lakes history and the SW of tassie generally as we made our way round which was great too.

This was incredible! I was so worried to fall out however the guides are very supportive and help you in and out of the kayaks, I felt safe through the whole experience. We saw 8 platypus, one being very close where I could even see its eyes. We got a yummy piece of brownie half way through our experience and it was delicious. This experience would have been amazing even if we didn’t see any platypus. The guide was amazing, explaining the history of Derwent and all the facts about the animals we were seeing. 10/10 experience, recommended it to everyone.

My family and I did a Platypus Tour as a birthday gift to me and it was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had! It was so amazing to share the experience with my three sons. Liam and Fiona are so friendly and welcoming and made us all feel confident in our kayaks. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather and the reflections on the river were stunning. We saw lots of platypus and really enjoyed the amazing cheese platter that was prepared for us. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough, it was an evening I’ll always remember and I can’t wait to do it again.

Highly recommended to everyone! We had the pleasure of Liam taking us on a Paddle with the Platypus tour and had an incredible experience! Liam was friendly, knowledgeable & highly entertaining...and the local tasting platter was amazing! We saw heaps of platypus in their natural and tranquil habitat. Keep up the great work guys & we look forward to coming paddling with you again soon!

We loved our kayaking tour with Liam, he was very professional, friendly and fun. Lake Pedder was such a beautiful place to spend time on the water with our family and the food was great. Our boys especially loved the homemade brownies. We hope to get back out on the water with Liam and Tassie Bound Adventures. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Our kayaking trip down the Derwent River to see platypus was one of the highlights of our 3 month’s travelling in Australia and New Zealand. Liam was very professional and informative, about the area and the platypus, we had around 12 sightings of these magical creatures, and the whole experience was one of those memorable encounters that will remain with us all. Not to mention the cheese platter and herbal tea at the River Styx....Anyone who gets to do a Tassie Bound Adventure is in for an unmissable experience.
