I found a new spot to enjoy some lunch. I had the Reuben and WOW! I cannot wait to try other menu items. The atmosphere is very warm & welcoming. Ryan was working the bar & answered all questions thoroughly. The stained glass windows are absolutely beautiful. This restaurant is definitely hidden, but definitely worth the visit!

Service was very poor. The server was unpleasant to deal with and complained about any order modifications. Chicken wings were very good. However the pork chop was overcooked and almost completely unspiced. Nachos were absolutely awful and appeared to be made by pouring canned chili over tortilla chips.

Decent pub food with some good specials, too. It was a Tuesday night - they had live music performed by local musicians. 👍 👍

Why have i not been here before! Fantastic servers, warm atmosphere, we had 11 friends, everyone loved their food. Awesome ribs, pirogies, tacos. Next time we will go later and catch the music.

Busy Saturday night w a cover band. Easy to eat healthy too. Like the salmon and broccoli are clean from dressings, butters and oils if requested. Casual attire: flip flops are okay. Easy parking lot for parking. More wait staff would be great although it was a very busy time when we dined so it's understandable. Local crowd. I'd def go back.

Large group of RR modelers met there for an early dinner. They have standard watering hole food: wings, burgers, ribs, sandwiches, some seafood, beef and chicken entrees. Everything that we had was fine. The wings were crispy, portions generous, BBQ sauce, Kansas City. Nice beer selection. Special food destination? No, but a good local place. And they have live music occasionally (not on a late Sunday afternoon). Service was excellent: cheerful, efficient, and prompt, easily handling 6-8 separate checks!

Great selection of food and the service was great. My fiance has allergies to certian seasonings and they were able to make her a wonderful pork chop. We will definitely be back.

A splendid little sports bar in the Rockville-Derwood neighborhood, bias towards the Pittsburgh Steelers from the owners, but anyone is welcome to share a game. A laid-back DMV vibe, for working people of all incomes. The food is okay...only one waitress so it usually arrives at room temperature. A nice spot that isn't a chain restaurant.

We love going to Outta the Way Cafe. Great service, a large variety of food, and a home town atmosphere. I enjoy the ham and cheese club sandwich. It normally comes with American cheese but they will substitute that for cheddar if you ask. The island applesauce is to die for. It is chunky applesauce with cinnamon sugar in it. Kind of like pie filling. They have a good kids menu with lots of offerings for $6 and each includes a kids drink.

Nice place to eat. The food was good. The server was by herself (with occasional help from the kitchen staff), so things were a little behind. But she was great at keeping everything in line. Our order was correct, and it was good. The kindergartener loved her grilled cheese and chips. I had the club sandwich. Very tasty. There is an area where they have live music. The tables were far away from each other that our conversations were private.

Service and atmosphere are great. But the food is quite disappointing. The hamburger and coleslaw are below average - and in fact caused stomach upset on one family member. The 52nd street sandwich is probably the best they got.

Went there to hear a band play on a Friday night. It was busy 1/2 hour before the start and we had to wait for a table, but I can tell you that watching the wait staff and management working their butts off to get everything done was a good sign. Kudos to them. The food is good and the staff all seem to be a team working together.

Love this place! We had not been in quite a while but it did not disappoint. Friendly staff, great service and food. Everything we ordered was good. It was my husbands birthday and they brought him a surprise dessert. Nice variety of food choices. I would recommend it to anyone.

This is one of my family's go-to restaurants when we don't have anything prepared at home. Everyone loves the perogies. We also love the steak tacos, shrimp tacos, burgers and sliders, and pork dishes. The servers are always attentive and the place is kept clean.

It was my first time coming here with my boyfriend. It was a Friday night around 9pm. parking situation was good. We went in and it was full but the place is pretty big so we found a table and just sat down. The servers were very attentive and kind. They have a lot of options on the menu. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and my bf got the spicy crispy chicken pasta. Everything was sooo yummyyy and they also had live entertainment which was nice to see and hear. It was a good experience and would definitely come back.

I love this place, very low key and I feel like I’m good friends with all the staff. My fav dish is the Alfredo pasta with shrimp and broccoli added. The live music, game nights and music box player are all a great plus to dining here.

Rude and racist staff. I am only giving it 4 stars because I did have a few servers actually behave better. The bartenders are a mess. Today I got confronted by a cook or someone from the staff after I dealt with 2 rude customers. I got confronted for simply defending myself verbally. I was never was shaken but the fact he even tried. It’s not my first round coming here and feeling a racist energy in the air. Management is useless. They are completely unprofessional. Staff poses as management.

Have you ever decided to check out a restaurant or Bar without taking someone with you? I have and I've been going back on a regular basis for ten years! I could bore you with a rave review and ramble on about how good the food is but the bottom line is this; Everyone that I have met (and I have met everyone) are the example of what it means to be a Professional, working in the Restaurant and Bar industry. No other neighborhood place comes close! Diner's are warmly treated and it's easy to see why it's not uncommon to learn that many staffers have been around for 15 or 20 years. For a casual dining experience or a visit to the bar for happy hour and appetizer specials, I can't imagine a better place to visit. Adult enough for a Cold beer or cocktail on the bar side, yet family friendly, with plenty of options for dinner, drinks and live entertainment in the dining area. Don't miss out because the Outta the way Cafe is the kind of place that keeps you coming back for more!

Super friendly staff for a busy night for the fans of Built 4 Comfort. First time there, but looking forward to returning as a guest or musician.

Very nice mom 'n pop style bar/restaurant. Food is a couple of grades above standard bar fare with varied selection including pirogis and a good selection of sandwiches. Prices have gone up. Love the hardwood interior. Our server was not the friendliest and was pretty slow.

The best tempura tenders I ever had..great food and they pour heavy on the alcohol

I just love this place so much. It almost has that Cheers feeling to me. The nachos are wonderful and the chili is so good on the nachos and by itself too. James was our server back in March and he was funny and knowledgeable and made our dining experience memorable. We were delighted to see him when we went in on Saturday for lunch. And again A+ service. He is an asset to Brian and OOTWC!

First time at this restaurant. The atmosphere has a wonderful friendly super casual feel to it. You definitely get the family run joint feel out of it. The staff was astronomically friendly and patient with our elderly parents. The food was incredibly good and this is not a complaint but they definitely serve up larger portions than I could handle. Bring a big appetite. I will easily have at least lunch for tomorrow with the leftovers. Price-wise it's a little on the high side but for the quality and service you're getting it was worth every cent. We will definitely be going back and cannot recommend it enough.

I've haven't been here in a while. It was a great experience. Met some regulars, had a good time with a great meal. Come by, it may surprise you. Bring your children. There were several families and the kids were having fun.

Menu said to try the wings. Tried some other appetizers, which were good, but then I just had to try the wings. Should have gone to them first. They are excellent

Food always good, long time serving staff. Not even close to being as busy as in past same old regulars, in 50 to 70 yo range. Very few females and worst prices are up 30 Percent. Can't go back there Best wishes Brian. Time to sell

Despite a severe shortage of staff, I found this place to have excellent food and a great atmosphere. I was there on a Saturday around 1 PM for a gathering if family and friends after a funeral and the wait staff and I heard, the owner, were busy taking orders and serving meals. Go there, have a meal, I recommend the meatloaf casserole, and enjoy!
