Rented a "Penthouse" room. Furniture was falling apart, half drank water bottles in the room upon arrival, windows dirty, carpets and furniture stained, tile floor dirty everywhere. This place was absolutely disgusting. Don't rent through Vacasa, terrible company. Go with Compass. One redeeming aspect was the community pool. Also, you cannot bring your own umbrellas or chairs so they try to make you buy their setups for ridiculous amounts. $425/week for two chairs and an umbrella. Been coming to Destin for 20+ years. Tried a different place this year, and I can guarantee we will not be back to this "Resort".

We had never been to Destin before. This place blew our expectations out of the water. The condo was amazing as well as the staff. I highly recommend silver shells. I know my family will be back.

The condo is great. Excellent view and it had all we needed for our stay. However, the living room furniture was not the most comfortable for me. It could stand to be replaced. Also the mattress in the primary was worn but fairly comfortable. We have stayed at Silver Shells for several years and love the location. We will be back.

This was such a great experience! We were all amazed that the elevator opened up into our condo. Definitely a great family vacation spot.

This is one of the best locations on the island. The private beach & pool are amazing. I feel safe with a guard at the gate, a gated fence around the property & the garage has a gate. Destin traffic can be a challenge, but this location is easy in & out.

So I personally have not stayed here. But hear me out. I take care of the landscape and I will say from the gate guards to the pool guys and everyone in between are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Great place to work at with these wonderful people so I'd assume that the rooms themselves are well kept and the views are awesome. I mean it is Destin Florida.

Loved this resort, although we booked the room through a Airbnb, not thru the resort. The location was great but under an airport flight way, so would hear loud airplanes every hour while in relaxing in the water. The tiki bar was nice to have on site but the food and drinks were not good. The place was beautiful inside, well designed and felt safe. Couldn't hear any other guests in our condo while we were there, vut not sure we had any neighbors since we went in the slow season. The beaches were beautiful and well kept and chairs and umbrellas to use. I would definitely stay here again.

ABSOLUTE WORST place to stay at! The rules here are just absurd especially if you have kids! I would look else where. The resort is nice and the people we rented from were great. But you have someone down your neck every second watching your every move. For as much as you spend to stay here, it’s just ridiculous! Search else where!
