Very disappointed. I read good things about this bar and several bartenders from NYC recommended. We got there, asked at the bar where we should order. We were told to sit, we waited for fifteen minutes. Other people received their drinks. The bar tender was fairly preoccupied entertaining two other bartenders that were off for the night. I went back up to the bar and asked if I should wait or place an order, I placed an order. Again I watched the bar tender entertaining her colleagues. I waited with the rest of my friends for another fifteen minutes. I walked back to the bar, and was asked what can I get for you? I said we had already and we waited for over half an hour and she just shrugged and gave me a condescending look. We left. Zero interest in the customer. Instead we went to Bad Luck Bar and spent $800.

Since I was out and about I decided to try this spot out for the first time. It was me (by myself)and maybe 6 other people present in the bar. The bartender looked me dead in my eyes... no greeting. I sat at the end of the bar, a few minutes go by and then a few more. I continue to wait. Bartender finally approaches me I ask what type of Bourbon was available. He then turns and points to the wall and says "this is all Bourbon" and walks away. Doesn't offer me a menu or ask what I typically drink. Two other ladies walk in and he simply puts a smile on his face goes to their table and begins chit chatting. Says nothing else to me. I politely get up and leave. If the staff cant simply be polite or attempt to offer decent service, I'll take my money elsewhere. Will never patronize this establishment again.

Great bar! The drink menu is limited, but the bartenders are super experienced. I told her the type of drink I was looking for and she quickly whipped up something delicious. This is the perfect spot to grab drinks before or after dinner.

The old white waiter there is so rude. He’ll kick you out with an embarrassing volume and ruin your day after he finds your ID is expired. He could’ve have done this in a much better way but he didn’t.

Great and quiet place to enjoy your drink at this beautiful tiny place Bar. Friendly bar tender with his good suggestions of cocktail. Loved his gesture and hospitality.

Tried this place on friend’s recommendation and absolutely loved the ambience and Service. George makes the best drinks. Hands down the best Paper plane i’ve tried. My friend and I tried a couple of Bourbon and Gin Cocktails and enjoyed them all. If you don’t know what you want to get tell him your alcohol preferences and have him do what he does best. You won’t be disappointed. The place is quite small and Intimate. This is a nice spot for some after dinner drinks. Do hop in if you’re in the area for a drink. The price is lit bit on the expensive side.

Dress code? Leggings and a t-shirt was unacceptable clothing. With so many places begging for customers, this just turned us away.

Party of 9 wanted to patronage this bar located right around the corner of the hotel we were staying at after walking by it a few times on the nights prior. Arrived at 10:30 on a Saturday which has a posted closing time of 12:00 wanting a nicer drink before going out outside of downtown. Bartender rolled his eyes and said they were closing early. Guess y'all don't like making money. Wouldn't recommend.

A hidden gem. Off the beaten path, we probably would have walked right by if it hadn't been for the sign on the sidewalk advertising craft cocktails. We are so glad we stopped in - totally cool, relaxed vibe and fantastic, made-to-order drinks. It's not party central or a place to tie one on, but if you're looking for a place to sit and relax and a knowledgeable bartender who truly respects the cocktail, this is it. George is engaging and friendly and knows his way around a bar. He's quick to point out that the drink menu contains just suggestions - he'll adapt any of the selections to your taste or create something custom for you. If we lived in Detroit, we'd definitely be regulars!

The place was amazing! Wonderful atmosphere, an amazing bartender, and probably the best Paper Plane I've ever had. This place is a must stop if you're looking for a nice cocktail with friends and having a lovely chat. Also the Buhl Cocktail was very good, delightfully herbal and bourbony with touches of sweet from the maple bitters.

Excellent cosy olde world cocktail bar. Prohibition style cocktails with excellent personable service, highly recommended.

Small cozy intimate setting, while not making you feel out of place if you are wearing shorts/jeans and a t-shirt. We had the Buhl cocktail

Nice vintage bar walking distance to TCF center. Attached to a law office fills the aesthetic of old timely after work drinks. Was able to try a customer strawberry drink and a Buhl Cocktail. Would definitely recommend. It seems they typically have snacks as well but was out at the time.

Josh was an amazing bartender and a great guy to talk to. amazing music taste and all around 10/10 experience. loved the vibe and will be coming back soon

While the drinks and atmosphere are fantastic, I rate this two stars as I was singled out for wearing a hat, whilst numerous others were wearing caps and beanies. Even the other bartender had a beanie on, and yet, I was absolutely singled out

Best bartender in Detroit! Lady this evening was so engaging, talented and has put together the most awesome Playlist for the clients. Very intentional and brilliant.

Such a great experience at this bar. Loved the chill atmosphere. There’s no menu but you just tell the owner what you like and he’ll make an incredible drink for you!

Stopped in one Monday night for drinks with my cousin after dinner and absolutely loved it! Both drinks I tried were absolutely spot on to the original versions. Despite a small basic cocktail menu, the bar tenders here can make you just about anything you want! Overall, I highly recommend them and I will certainly be back!

Relaxing bar with beautiful modern decor. Perfect place to grab a cocktail after work. This location is not a sports bar. I tried a Whiskey Sour which was made with egg whites. Hands down the BEST Whiskey Sour I've ever had.

Nice very cosy bar. Great happy hour snacks cheese, crackers and meats at no charge. Good selection of liquors. Basically no wine selection. Wanted a Cab and only had one that was just so so. Went with the Gin. Need to do more for the wine drinkers.

Barry ended was aloof and too involved in her personal conversations with her friends to tend to her customers. Told her there wasn’t any paper towel in the restroom and she’s like, oh thanks for letting me know@ side eye. So unprofessional

Nice cozy bar in the business district. We went late at night the lights are dim and it's very peaceful. It is not allowed bar it's a quiet bar. There are no TVs which is nice so you have to spend time with whomever you are there with. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bartender takes a lot of pride in the drinks he is making. This bar does not have a kitchen they do put out small snacks for free. They have a large selection of alcohol to choose from. They have a very limited selection of beer and wine.

Dropped in before a wings game as I have had my eye on this bar for sometime and was very much pleased with the decision. The bartender was very knowledgable of the selection and could speak volumes to the various products. Great place to sit down and catch up with a few friends over drinks at!
