I have been to this place pre-covid when they served jalenpeno Cheddar biscuits. Man were they good!! Sharon the waitress advised that due to covid they could not keep up with their old menu. The new menus is just as good, just less the biscuits. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. I tried the beef short rib sliders with fries & truffle sauce. Delish! Meat was very tender & flavorful. The shrimp with angel hair pasta was really good too! The size and portion of the shrimp was pleasing. Drinks are good. Atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly. Check it out when you are in the area.

I must have passed by this place literally thousands of times and I have finally entered inside just this past week. I will be honest, I thought it would be really bougie being on Woodward downtown but it was truly reasonable and the fare was excellent. They have excellent sliders that during happy hour are only 3$ a pop. Each one has a different and unique marinade. The macaroni and cheese was so much fun to eat as an appetizer while waiting for the full burger which, surprisingly was char grilled. For me that was the best part. I am truly happy I finally tried it out.

I was really blown away by this bar food. Fine dinner at a new level. The chicken noodle soup was the best I have ever had. Our waitress was very accommodating. The only negative thing was the meat on the loaded french fries was salty, on the positive side the meat was super tender and full of flavor. The salmon was delicious, and the pasta was full of flavor with humongous shrimp. The Cajun chicken flavor was out of this world. Great job.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Great service from Ashley. Staff was warm and welcoming. Inside was not. Shivered a bit. However the vibe is still good. Music is great. Food is good. Smaller selection of beer, yet still decent. The mac & cheese is just okay- had high hopes for a little more. The main dish I had was amazing! (Brisket with mashed potatoes) Fish & Chips could have had a more substantial potato wedges instead of fries. Fish is good. Overall super happy to have a place open with kind service.

This restaurant is located right on Woodward in the heart of Detroit located next to some great establishments, such as the Shinola Hotel. The seating outside was perfect during a warm evening. The service was speedy and delivered with a warming manner. If you have the pleasure of dining here, I would totally recommend the burger. This burger was one of the most flavorful burgers I've had in a long time. With it's buttery flavor and cooked to perfection and served on a warm bun. You won't put it down once you start to consume this delight. If you're in the area give this place a go and enjoy an affordable, delicious meal executed with perfection. Bon appetit!

Continuation from my previous review from the bad experience I had at Calicixipoโ€ฆmy bf and I walked down a couple blocks to a place called Cornerstone Barrel House and was quickly greeted by Kayln. She smiled and quickly said she will be right with us and for us to sit anywhere we wanted to. We wanted to sit outside and there was a table that needed to be cleaned off. I asked Kayln and she said (with a smile) to give her a minute and she will get it cleaned off for us. It literally took less than a minute that a man came out and cleaned off the table. I was sitting at the table I requested in less than a minute. Kayln continued to smile throughout her shift and was giving such great customer service to all the customers. She is someone who knows great customer service. It got hot outside and we came in to sit inside and Kayln smiled and said it wasnโ€™t a problem. She brought our drinks right to us and continued to deliver great customer service. I will definitely come back to this establishment!

Had a wonderful dinner here! It's a bummer they don't take reservations since it's such a small place (especially so with COVID distancing, which I appreciate), which does mean long wait times on weekends. Luckily, it wasn't too cold outside, and the space heaters outside kept things warm. They did let us go get drinks at the bar while we waited, which was nice. I had a Dark & Stormy cocktail, which was good though not remarkable. The food, however, was great. The Rigatoni and Meatballs were very tasty and filling, and the side garlic bread was delicious. I almost never finish pasta, but I absolutely cleaned my bowl! Service was quick and friendly, and they seemed to do a good job following state COVID guidelines. Definitely will go back!

The food here is outstanding. Just about everything is made in house. The service was superb, and lastly the drinks do not disappoint. Will definitely be back again.

I have never been here before and found it on Google maps while looking for some good food before the hockey game. We ended up getting the Mac and cheese with chicken (mine) and pork (my wife). In her words, "This is the best Mac and cheese I've ever had!". I completely agree. The pictures don't do it justice. The shell noodles are pretty massive and the cheese is perfectly smooth and creamy. I got the bourbon sour and she got the mule and both were really cool drinks. I wish I was able to buy one of the tin cups they served hers in. My only issue with the place is the lack of seating. They have an entire downstairs area with tons of space but aren't using it to seat people, it's just a big empty area. I saw so many people leave because they didn't want to wait for seating. All in all, it's an amazing place and I'll be back

Atmosphere is really welcoming and nice wait stay is incredible but would not recommend eating there sent burger back for being over cooked and the one that came out was basically raw in center and the chicken noodle soup has no flavor at all but the drinks and staff are great so use this place for a night cap not dinner

In the midst of a pandemic this incredible establishment went above and beyond to provide a great birthday celebration for my husband and his team of Detroit special ops officers. The food and service were both amazing! They're covid safety protocols were great! I have been here before tonight and hope to be back for many years to come! Please come out and support this fantastic restaurant. Keep it going during this difficult time!

This was a really solid choice for dinner before a Tigers game. It's within a very easy walk to the stadium, and the menu was perfectly tuned to what we were looking for. 2 of the 3 people in our party were made very happy by the house burger (I particularly liked their choice of bun), and the third enjoyed a pork mini (slider). We found lovely beers on the happy hour menu to complete the experience. The Cornerstone isn't fancy, but I'm perfectly willing go consider it a five star dinner because it was exactly what we were looking for in a perfect location.

This is a cool spot. Drinks 5/5. Food is 4/5 only because itโ€™s bar food vibes. Five stars is for a table cloth kind of place. If you want some TVs, great whiskey drinks, and pretty good food (great apps), this is it. Walkable from the many hotels and near the sport stadiums

I suggested this restaurant as it was close to The Fillmore prior to a show [IDLES]. The staff were very accommodating and made nice recommendations. I didn't have it, but people raved about the homemade chicken noodle soup including my new friend for the show. I decided to have the Salmon BLT and it was fantastic enough to the point I question if it wild even though there wasn't an indicator, but it was certainly sockeye variety. If I go to The Fillmore again instead of trying another restaurant I'm going to suggest this one again. It's an easy walk over.

We had to wait 30 minutes for a table at about 5:00 PM on a Sunday evening. There are very limited choices but what we ordered was great; mac&cheese and sliders. Itโ€™s a very small place - the staff is friendly and attentive and the prices were good. Easy walk from our hotel (Whitney).

Went here after a musical at the Detroit Opera House. Good atmosphere. Decent selection of drinks. Food is fried chicken in the back of the restaurant. We didn't eat, but many people were ordering and it smelled amazing. Atmosphere is like a warehouse. We enjoyed it.
