August 2021. $9 brat and fries. Fries were overcooked to the point of crumbling, and were lukewarm. Brat bun was toasted to the point of crumbling and falling apart. Brat itself was fine; standard grocery store brat. This place needs a couple more staff, because the few they had were desperately overworked and were doing a sloppy job as a result (and I don't blame them).

Had a good time, they had two servers running the place on a night with events going on downtown Detroit. So, we waited for some things unfortunately. Food was ok, the mac and cheese bites have noodles inside that was way too done so they were kind of just like cheese bites at that point. The chicken BLT sandwich was delicious though. Not sure where the grilled pretzel was though, was just a regular hamburger bun. French fries were awesome. Bathrooms were a bit nasty as you can see in the photo, probably because nobody is there to clean them I think three people were running the entire place. Might want to put a sign by the door that says seat yourself, instead of yelling at everybody that walks in to find a seat wherever.. Simple one page menu. Prices, well, like a lot of places lately they're up there. $35 for an app. drink and a sandwich. Put the tip in there and it's over $40. Probably won't be back, was just easy cuz our parking spot was right there.

It was a ok quick experience, but a thought lingers in the back of your mind.... I went to support someone's birthday. I didn't know where it was until we were on our way there. After the controversy a couple of yrs ago I don't like to patron this place🤷🏾‍♀️

One of my favorite bars in all of detroit before and after all sporting events. Easy parking thats very walkable to all 3 stadiums. You Cant beat that gameday special, 4 shots and pitcher of beer for $18. Food is good bar food and they are very quick. Staff is friendly and when it's busy it's a lot of fun. Upstairs is a good time during the summer sitting outside.

Three floors! Main floor: Full bar and large dining area Second floor: Full bar and small event space available for rent Third floor: Full bar inside and large outdoor dance floor and lounge with a lovely view Truly excellent bar staff, knowledgeable and upbeat enough to get a party going. Security was also excellent, they were on top of any unacceptable behavior and very friendly. I highly recommend T-meck the bartender for any events.

I think you should learn how to park your cars right and leave the parking authority alone who makes you special. If I ever came to Detroit I would not come there

I Love this place the service is excellent, they serve great drinks and great food. It has three floors with the top one being on the rooftop. It's very spacious and just a great place to come and have a good time. The bathrooms were clean only thing is it's motion sensor lights so if you're the only one in there they shut off and also parking was ok but I can see where it could become an issue when there is a ton of people but I definitely recommend stopping here for a bite to eat and a drink or to party on weekends

Bookies is awesome! I had a really good time there a few weeks ago for Movement. I thought it was really cool that they had DJ sets going on the roof and weren’t charging. It’s so easy to gouge people that particular weekend. That says something to me about this place. Great service, good food. I like their crinkled French fries. Make sure to check out the rooftop if it’s open while you’re there!

Great spot to hang with friends and grab a drink and some bar food. Food isn't anything spectacular but the vibe makes up for it. They have a rooftop with good views of the city. Real nice if you're there during sundown

This place is a joke, my group of 10+ people had a table at 6 pm, ordered at 6:45 and got the food 7:35. They gave me my order wrong and I returned it. They said it'll be another long wait for my food so I said it's fine I don't want it anymore. I get the bill later for a diet coke. Very disrespectful, I mentioned it to the girl that was our waitress and she said her manager is helping the cook and she's just doing what she's told. I don't tolerate disrespect after waiting on a wrong order for 45 mins of just wings. Never again!

Solid food, great gameday drink deals and staff was awesome. Won't go back for gameday though as in the final minutes of the Lions game this past weekend, one of the TVs was like a minute ahead of the other 5 TVs playing the Lions game. Can't have something like that at a sports bar, especially watching a game that's going down to the wire.

Way too loud. The audio, whether music or game commentary, is outrageously loud. The place is looking less and less maintained. Sad, used to be such a great place...no longer great. But their servers are wonderful. Too bad the owner(s) are letting the place deteriorate so badly 😢

Lackluster bar in downtown Detroit. Pretty busy the night we came but not packed. Really slow service and almost no personality from either bartender we got drinks from. The menu is limited but we saw other tables getting food and nothing looked good so we passed on eats. Servers were vaping while walking around and getting orders and food. I would avoid Bookies.

Stopped in on our way to the Fox and we will not be back! Waitress was nice but service really slow! 45 mins after ordering we received our food! We had the Nachos and the Jumbo wings. Wings were so tiny and only came with 6 wings and the Nachos reminded me of the taco meat back in middle school or Taco Bell! So nasty! The bathrooms were not the greatest either! The overall place doesn’t look like it’s kept up at all! Very dissatisfied!

Brittany took AMAZING care of us. We had a large group, that moved tables a couple times, and had to shuffle. She nailed everyone’s order and took care of us in the best way. Would hire her anywhere and I could only hope all servers are her level. Thank you!

Clean. Impressive decor. Sports bar. Bartender kept playing songs we loved on the jukebox for free for us! Had fun. Vegan options were available there.

This was a first time visit and I enjoyed it. Food was awesome, service was great, and did I mention that the food was great..lol. Nicely decorated with Detroit pics and things. Only thing was music was a bit loud, I know, showing my age, but the song selection was great. Will be back for sure.

Place was PACKED for the Lion's game but the service was good. Soup was cold by the time it reached me on the third floor, but otherwise the food was good and they did a pretty good job.

Great service from Madison. This place was amazing. Was told 45min wait for food but couldn’t have been but 20min. Drink specials on game day are clutch. And prices are like any other restaurants there’s no up charge for being near the stadium in the city.

Bookies was excellent! Good vibe fun atmosphere, and fairly well kept! We meet up for a local here they were inviting and didn't hesitate to let us in. Lots of TVs and a sports bar atmosphere! Music was provided and they do serve food! My experience here was brief but well met.

Toxic energy. Bartender basically treated me as if I am garbage, I’m sober, no interest in alcohol, but still hope to be treated, respectfully.

My normal ritual spot before Wings and Tigers games. The crew here is always top tier and an added bonus is that they put up with me on the regular! Catholic league supports their own. As a Pilot, I'm happy to support a Cub! LGRW

We stumbled upon this joint on a Monday randomly. Nick and his sidekick were awesome. (I forget his name?!?) Thank you for quick service, an amazing conversation about hockey and not hating us for being from Ohio. Also, great recommendations for hot spots in the D!

Food is great, pricey but worth it. Great staff, and the atmosphere is very chill. Whether it's a guy's night, girl's night or game night it's a must

Cool rooftop and a huge bar. Plenty of space to socially distance and have a good time. Bartender totally made the night for us. Play him some Kesha if you stop in.
