Excellent customer service, great ambiance, live music, and really good food. We sweet there to celebrate my wife’s birthday and she also enjoyed it. The starter bread was warm and really good. I had Lobster bisque and it was probably one of the best I ever had. For main course I Dry aged bone in ribeye with compound garlic butter. I enjoyed it. I had better steak at other high end restaurants, but this one was also very good. I asked for the pepper corn sauce and that was disappointing. My wife had the Chicken Scaloppine and that was amazing! I liked it better than my steak. Try it for yourself!

This place is amazing! Went a few days ago for dinner, my first time being here. The service was fantastic, we had multiple servers attending to us. Multiple members of the staff came to check on us and get to know us, ensuring that our time was fantastic. The food was exceptional, especially the crab cakes and oysters. Additionally, they have a fantastic selection of wines and desserts, so many choices!

The hostess was lovely and kind. The food was good but nothing interesting. Our server was non attentive and curt. Perhaps due to her not thinking she would make enough money (to make 5 star service worth her while) on our small party. Though I specifically booked reservations here for a special occasion. We did not let it ruin our evening.

This was a lovely restaurant with exquisite food. Very upscale and very professional staff. Valet and coat check available. Our waitress Shellie was super helpful in helping us decide on what to order. Everything was cooked to perfection from the appetizer to dessert.

First I'd like to say this restaurant was absolutely wonderful from the greeter to our waiter Allen. The food was grea, serve great, atmosphere great. We wanted to make Father's day extra special this year for my husband so we pulled together to make it happen after given back to the Community, our Non-profit Organization called Everybody Eatz Inc. we all were really hungry so I called to see if we could bump up our reservation it was for 5:30pm. I was trying to see if we could come at 4pm. They gave us 4:30pm.Truly grateful. THANK YOU! We arrived and were seated and our server noticed we didn't have menus. But we kinda generally knew what we wanted cause we went looked at the online menu. The boys started making jokes. My husband leans to me and ask are you sure. Im like we got you. So, then I looked at the menu and nothing is priced like the website. Needless to say he had us AGAIN. Our family oriented, Community helping, give back man. By Gods grace we didn't have to leave and go somewhere else. We wasn't fully prepared. PLEASE UPDATE THE WEBSITE. He enjoyed himself but it diffently would've been great if we would've had him for Father's Day.

From the moment I arrived to the time I left, I felt like an invited guest. This was my first visit to the restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed the service the food and the ambience. Allen offered me service with a smile, was very polite and shared some of the interesting history about the restaurant. He seems to enjoy what he does. I had the pleasure of meeting the chef who I must compliment. The food was delicious and the presentation was great. Excellent in every category. Top notch! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The atmosphere, service, and cuisine was top-notch! I enjoyed my dishes and the tableside service. I also enjoyed the musical performance of jazz standards while I ate there. It was a bit of a walk to get there from Park Avenue using Maps (even though I specified going there on foot, it gave me driving directions!), it was worth it! 5/5!

This place was amazing! The service, atmosphere and of course the food! They have a piano with a mic and soundboard, so while there wasn't live music while we were there, it wasn't a prop! We'd love to go back while it's live! I had the perch, which was delicious, perfectly seared, and seasoned, I did not have to add anything! My wife and son split the Woodfired ribs, and they were done quite well, too, andcameqithgarlic roasted mashed potatoes... a nice accompaniment. TheCaeser salad, prepared tableside, was quite good! Weekend got a history lesson of the Caeser Salad. Ifyo7 read my other reviews, you'll see I judge service... and tip, according to whether I see the bottom of my glass or not. I drink a lot of coffee and water and I never got more than a couple of sips before they were refilled. It was all hands-on deck. While our main server, Allen, was very attentive, the other server, and even the host, chipped in to ensure all our needs were met. Allen was great! Personable, funny, knowledgeable, and attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary, and he even gave us a card. The place is not cheap, definitely high-end, but well worth the cost for the service, atmosphere and great eats!

Shellie literally made my mother and I’s birthday experience a 12/10. Not only was she personable, she truly resonated with us. It was almost as if she looked at us and knew what we would like. Her recommendation for the lobster bisque and filet were spot on (Im not sure how I will be able to eat these dishes at another restaurant). I would come back just to have Shellie’s recommendation. Thank you for making our birthday so special and for recommending the best menu items. The cocktails, wine, appetizer, entrees, dessert, and service will absolutely have us coming back.

Amazing place in the heart of Detroit. Antonio, our waiter, is a true gem. The quality of food is great but everything is salted a bit more than we like. We will come back next time, no doubts

This is the 4th time we have been here and every time it is spectacular! From the moment you pull up your car you feel like you are stepping into elegance. The Mac and cheese is some of the best I’ve ever had. The lobster bisque is a must, the unspoken martini is a must. Steak cooked perfectly every time. We will continue to choose caucus club for our fancy date nights.

This is a traditional steak & seafood restaurant with old fashioned, formal service. We went on a Thursday evening and were one of less than a dozen in the place. The waiter was very attentive and the food was good. I had the rack of ribs which was well done and tender, but needed more sauce which the waiter was glad to get. Overall, it was a nice experience and we plan to return.

My Husband and I came here to celebrate our 6 year anniversary and the food was incredible we ordered a dry aged bone in ribeye for our dinner and split it my husband dry ages meat himself and thought the quality of the steak was amazing. We ordered the Rockefeller oysters so good and the meatballs were delicious too. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good quality steak and nice night out. The atmosphere was perfect for celebrating our anniversary the the live piano music was a really nice touch!

Had the pleasure of celebrating our 3 year anniversary here. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion. This restaurant is tucked away, I’ve frequented this area for many years but never knew this place was here. The doorman welcomed us, as well as the host. The host presented us with a postcard to acknowledge the occasion, however a complimentary glass of champagne, wine or a cocktail would have been every better considering the amount of money that was spent. Our waitress was very nice and personable, we enjoyed chatting with her, she took good care of us. The food on the other hand was mid and overpriced, we should have listened to the reviews. The food we ordered could have easily been cooked at home and I’m 100% sure it would have been better. The steak was overcooked, the salmon was ok, the food wasn’t hot, a little over room temperature at best, again it was very basic aside from the ambiance and music. I will say, we enjoyed the calamari, it was fresh, cooked to perfection, and the sauce was delicious! However, seeing that the calamari was fried and drenched in sauce of course made it soggy, we definitely should have ordered it on the side but there was no mention of the sauce while reviewing the menu, so be careful. I provided feedback to the waitress, she wasn’t really opened to, just suggested we get the sauce on the side next time LOL, there will be no next time unfortunately…

Beautiful ambience. Service absolutely wonderful!! Our sides delightful.. Main course.... Steaks were horrible. Not cooked correctly. Sent back still came out wrong. They did everything they could to fix the issue. However you cant replace the time spent... No we wouldn't return. Just wanted to give it a try....

Had my 20th Anniversary here. Was a wonderful dinner experience. Staff friendly. Clean restaurant. Must try this upscale restaurant. Food is delicious. Will be back.

I stopped in for a quick bite after work and I wanted to make sure I left a review about my experience. I found the service to be good and the restaurant was modern and beautiful. The live music was a plus and the piano being in the middle of the dining room made the experience feel very intimate and special. I can see how this would be a great place to bring a date or a special group of friends. The main thing was the food. I had the crab cakes and a spring salad. Both were excellent, but the salad was amazing...very fresh with a wonderful champagne vinaigrette. My martini was spot on and the whole meal was a "wow"!

Had our son’s Wayne State University graduation family dinner at the Caucus Club. Our server, Louis, was great. Our son said it was the best steak he’s ever had. Love the atmosphere and glad they instill a dress code policy. Excellent service and fine dining!

Alan was the highlight of our night - he was a fantastic waiter; incredibly attentive, funny, and thoughtful. The food was excellent, though I wish there was some wagyu available that evening, I was really in the mood for it! I heard they had some Australian wagyu the week prior. Missed out... oh well. We haven't gone out to a nice restaurant since the start of the pandemic, so I was hoping to spurge a little more. The Barbara Streisand drink (at Alan's recommendation) was also excellent. The ambience was nice, but the dining room was pretty empty, and I always find that a bit awkward if we're the only ones in a dining room for a good portion of the evening. Some people appreciate that, though... not necessarily a bad thing. It was 7pm on a weeknight, however. The food selection and wine/drink list is definitely one of the best I've seen around. No live entertainment that evening, but I bet it's quite the place to be when there is... Will definitely return, next time on a weekend!

I am a very frequent flyer at the Caucus Club for several reasons. First and foremost, the food is incredible and should be under serious consideration for a Michelin Star. It is most renowned for wood fire-grilled USDA Prime steaks, both wet and dry-aged cuts. I had the featured butchers reserve cut Australian Wagyu New York Strip that melts in your mouth. Other entrees I've enjoyed include lake perch, halibut, lobster tails, pork chops, 10oz filets, dry-aged ribeye, and tomahawk. Need I say more? Sure. Additionally, they have an awe inspiring wine menu. It offers over 150+ quality bottles of wines from all over the world, ranging from bubbly, whites, reds, blends, new world, and old world. If wine isn't for you, the high-end bar will care for your needs with the most premium selection in town. Another reason to come back is the classy interior design of the restaurant. For being completely restored, they did an incredible job at keeping the "old school" vibe. In closing, I recommend the Caucus Club to everybody except my enemies, and I obviously wouldn't patronize a business with poor service or bad owners. So, considering the length of this review and all the things I've said, the service is excellent, and the owners are amazing.

First Off – the Mac & Cheese is really delicious! As a first timer here.. I enjoyed myself. The atmosphere here is warm and inviting; friendly staff. Visiting Detroit, so the next time I’m in town, I’ll definitely be back.

The best part of our experience was Chris the bartender/server 💓 The food was great and the ambience was perfect. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Food was good, atmosphere was great, service was amazing, but the prices are high. Live piano music with dim lighting made for a great atmosphere. Our waiter Alan did a superb job! He was friendly, always smiled, joked with us and was on top of our every need. Food was cooked to perfection however I was no more impressed with the food than a similar restaurant at half the prices. Don't let that stop you, I honestly have zero complaints. There is something to be said about getting everything right!
