Nice hotel lobby bar in the Doubletree Fort Shelby. Appropriately named as the bar is in the shape of a circle. Happy hour specials were appreciated both food and drinks. The burger was very tasty and very rich. There were also healthy food choices on the menu too. A slightly less busy part of the downtown business district so it was a bit less crowded than other places.

We were the only two at the bar and we still had to wait for over 20 minutes for our drinks, the bartender was not trained at all, they didn't have the proper liquors or ingredients, when she stated "we are going to make our own" should have been the time we jetted out of here. I felt bad for this bartender because you can tell management just threw her behind the bar and told her good luck.

Nice historic place in downtown Detroit. Place to chill, don't go in a rush... anywhere. Pura Vida

Good drinks & service. The only thing they need to do is schedule around downtown events--if you have a hotel full of people in town for a weekend concert(Friday & Sunday nights), it seems like you'd want your bar open long enough afterwards to make some money. Friday night after a concert & we had time for 2 drinks before they kicked us out to close

Awful, Awful, Awful!!! The whole vibe was unwelcoming from the moment I walked in I wasn't even greeted. I didn't know if I could come in our not. I waited over an hour for a burger and chips. And probably wouldn't have gotten it then if I wouldn't have asked for it. I was served my drink first which out watered downed after never receiving my food. When my food did arrive. The food was so overcooked I wouldn't have feed it to a rat in the alley. So they made my food over...but this time it was undercooked. Just such a disappointment. Which was such a shame cause it has the potential to have cool vibes.

Round Bar is a great hotel bar and a good place to meet friends before an event in Detroit. There are plenty of parking options.

The drinks were amazing from my 😍 bartender, BUT the food. This was the worst food I've ever had in downtown Detroit. The food was extremely bland, tasteless, no flavor at all, nothing taste seasoned. Like not even with salt and pepper. The burger description should include that its Angus meat, while READING the menu it was not on there. Also indicate that the chef doesn't cook with seasonings.

Very unusual sounding dishes like pork belly mac with bechamel sauce but not as full of flavor as we like. Short ribs were fatty. Service was slow even for made from scratch supposedly. They did try to make up for it by free drink and deserts. Sandwiches and burgers we had at lunch were great.

The food here is decent and being in the hotel, it's a convenient place to eat. Abu and Kevin are two of the best wait staff I have ever encountered. Both were very attentive and made sure the chef knew about my food allergies, which meant I didn't have to deal with bad reactions while traveling for work.

Great food with large portions. Service is slow with only one wait person for bar and food. This is the only place to eat in hotel that is open. Such a nice hotel "Doubletree", you can do better with staffing. Looks like you are being cheap and this stay is not.

Restaurant did not honor promotional prices for lunch they solicited to the employees who work near by. I went to dine in on lunch and explained I would be taking 1 lunch to go because my coworker was in a meeting and could not attend. It was still a DINE IN!! The bartender denied the request which is strange because nobody was in the lousy bar anyway. Anyway I left and promptly text the 27 people I told to meet me for a birthday gathering at the Round Bar the following day I would be choosing a different establishment. Stay tuned!

Advertised open online, we walked about a mile to a closed restaurant.

Salmon was pretty raw in the middle, risotto needed a LOT of salt (which is not normally my thing), service was painfully difficult to get At The Bar. Staying at the hotel, my second night here, last night's service was just as bad as we got the wrong order and had to correct it twice. Just eat fries & don't be in a rush...

We had a few happy hours here while in town. Super easy when staying at the hotel! Good happy hour drink and appetizer specials. I tried the flatbread and wings. Both were pretty tasty. Good service.
