First time being here, and I was impressed! I would have given this place a five star rating if it weren't for the food, which was a solid 2 out of 5 alone. But the atmosphere, the talent, the love and even the vendors were genuine. I will definitely be back to support! Maybe just eat before I come next time. :)

It was my Cousin's Birthday celebration and I performed a few songs from my My Truth album. I love the sound system as well as the hard work the engineer or sound check Guy ( I forgot his name) he put in to make the sound excellent. I would definitely come back and perform again or just be a part of the audience.

I always enjoy going to the Jazz Café. I was just recently there for the Mack and Third Pop-up Fundraiser for Kem hosted by Urban Organic. There were two awesome performances by Madison McFerrin (NY) and Anthony David(ATL). It's such a nice and cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. I have attended several open mic shows that my Cousin Joel Fluent Green hosts as well. If you haven't been to a show, you must venture out and go.

The scenery was magnificent. I went there for a poetry event. The setting was perfect. They have a lot of small tables facing the stage and comes with everything you need for sounds. The staff was great. It's worth the price!

10/29/23: Nice place. Food was a cheeseburger w/bacon and fries, and it was good. Drinks(the two I had) were too sweet for me, but at least not "light" in alcoholic content. Bartender was cool, though not the most talkative. The performances that day were... very impromptu. I'm not sure about how it works, but they do seem to allow beginners, students, or anyone who is interested in doing a live performance come up on stage and perform(assuming that you have to call in advance to be placed in the schedule). The playing(that day) wasn't always perfect for sure, but it was still overall enjoyable listening to people play and appreciate the musical style.

Golden Ram Entertainment and Funny Man Mike Chase put on an amazing show & I can't wait to see them on the main stage again like father's day. I will recommend more wait staff on the days they put on shows, as it was only 1 waiter on the night of the 28th. But anywho the establishment is very nice, classy decor, definitely a whole grown and sexy vibe. I definitely will come back to another show!! Thank you Aretha Franklin Jazz Cafe, Golden Ram Entertainment & Mike Chase

It's a beautiful space though a little crowded for my taste. I felt bad for the wait staff trying to maneuver in between the tables. It sounded pretty good and I would definitely go back again.

We had an awful experience, had no idea we had to leave after the first set they practically kicked us out. The waitress did not want to be there, they put our food in to-go boxes and we didn't even finish our drinks. No class, took our money and put us out by 7:20, never experienced anything like it....Wow!

Intimate venue, great for a small show. There were some flys in the air, which were a bit annoying. Service was good, staff was friendly.

Nice space. Service should be organized better. A little planning before a show will make your servers money and make your guest smile.

We got free tickets from Greektown Casino. We had a free bus shuttle there and back, to the music hall center on Friday September 10th @ 8:00pm. It was a wonderful time to listen to music from Led Zeppelin! The name of the band was "WindBorne's"! Music of Led Zeppelin. The band & choir was very awesome music! I definitely give it a 10+. We had a really great time, the drinks was also very great. Now they gave us free tickets to "Air Supply" for Friday September 24th. Really looking forward to this show!!! I love Air Supply, every song is awesome😀

A nice venue, small but great for a jazz audience. The act I saw was more electric and I had to get used to the volume, I'll bring ear plugs next time just in case. Food and drink available although I only had a beer. I plan on returning for other acts. Single or couple its nice and cozy.
