Food is great. Well prepared and served with care and love. My body says "thank you" when I dine at Seva because the food is delicious and nutritious 😋. The Roasted Cauliflower Cheddar Soup with Garlic Bread was perfect! Sweet Potato fries also perfect 🥰 And our server was the most delightful. ANDDDD the Music Playlist 🎶 absolutely on point.

Must visit if you like healthy or vegetarian or vegan food. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Service is super good, taste is amazing and portion size is plenty. I tried soup of the day and vegan cobb salad and both were very very good. Well thought design as well with charging points etc. Will be there again. It’s on the way to airport from Troy or Auburn.

Really enjoyed our lunch at Seva Detroit. Our server was excellent and the food was fresh and very tasty. The restaurant has an upbeat vibe. Can’t wait to visit again and enjoy the outdoor patio. We parked on the street easy paid parking. Will be back again soon.

Had lunch at Seva. Love the plentiful vegan and vegetarian options - almost everything can be made vegan. Nice outdoor shaded patio seating area (not technically dog friendly per a sign on the door, but its a nice space and should be). Ordered the vegan nachos and Caesar side salad to start - both were delicious. For mains ordered the jambalaya and the vegan black bean and sweet potato quesadilla - we felt that both were good but not great. Enjoyed our time here, will come and try other entrees (some of the sandwiches looked great) and would recommend.

Lord have mercy, the food is so good! Vegans generally have very low expectations because of the lack of good vegan chefs out there, but here they can go ahead and set the bar high! The food is great and varied. Fresh. Love the mock tails too. The only not awesome thing I had once was overly seasoned tortilla chips but on the next visit they were fine. Servers are very friendly. Do yourself a favor, come eat here and bring your carnivore friends. They’ll like the food too. Is it a bit pricey? Yes but so worth it.

Vegan food at its finest. I've only been once but they have a variety of vegan and vegetarian meals including all day breakfast. I ordered the vegan chili cheese fries and the veggie burger. Both were 🔥🔥. I don't usually eat beyond meat, I much rather eat the impossible brand, but this burger was well seasoned and cooked. Their food doesn't leave you with a sluggish feeling after eating either, that was dope. We dinned outside, the waiter was super attentive and gave good recommendations.

Yup yup! Seva is one for veggie/vegan books! A nice clean, friendly restaurant. Really good food with really good options to choose from. I ordered the General Tso’s Cauliflower and the TLT w/fries. One word… yummy. The flavor combinations are perfect for the palate. To make a long story short, I’d recommend the dishes I ordered, as well as, I’d definitely recommend Sava Detroit!

Had to wait 30 minutes for a table but it was worth it. The food was excellent, especially the sandwiches, fries and pumpkin chai cheesecake. The jambalaya could use more spice, was kind of bland. But overall excellent place for a good meal.

Enjoyed my first visit to this location. It was quiet, service, and the food was awesome. There was also a nice outdoor section. I had the Ruben, which is a vegetarian style sandwich and Yam Fries. I will definitely be back! The only drawback was finding the restaurant. The signage is minimal, and it location hides it from view from the street. Parking is available but a little challenging as well.

Very nice place packed with vegetarian and vegan options, only vegetarian and vegan options so take that into consideration when coming. I particularly enjoyed the cheese 🧀 they put in my 🥪 sandwich, it was so delicious 🤤🤤... We only felt the cocktails were a bit pricier than expected but other than that it was very good. Also the crew was so attentive and kinda, thanks for that!

Our first experience and I can’t wait to come back! I loved our server, Bobbi. She is so sweet and very good at her job. I had the artichoke po boy (weekly menu item) with yam fries. My husband had the Jambalaya and garlic bread (a must add on). Both of us loved everything ate! Thank you for such an incredible experience

A great vegetarian spot serving tasty items that even carnivores will enjoy! Pros: lots of variety, great food, beautiful outdoor seating area, friendly servers, perfect for vegetarians and vegans! Cons: weird location with limited parking, their waitlist/seating was really disorganized (we ended up waiting over an hour for a table when we called ahead and was told it would only be 10 minutes, I understand that they were really busy tho) Food ratings: • Quesadilla— good, nothing special tho • Buffalo tempeh wings— really basic, not worth the money • Vegan Mac— slightly disappointing according to the vegan who ate it • Sweet potato fries— great! The spicy Mayo was very tasty too • Chilli cheese fries— pretty good! A little dry tho and nothing special • General tso’s cauliflower— really delicious!! My favorite off the menu • Shishito peppers— pretty good! A very simple dish tho

Burrito felt like a lasagna burrito- interesting combination. North African Couscous was spectacular- very flavorful and plentiful. Tempeh Ruben is always juicy and plentiful. Warm Cider with cinnamon was a sweet treat, although lukewarm when delivered to table.

Wanted to try out a vegetarian restaurant. Service was excellent, ambience was great with outdoor seating, but the food was not exceptional. It was decent. Started with a red lentil soup which was really flavorful. For appetizers we had the yam fries and bruschetta. Yam fries was actually sweet potato fries which was usual. Bruschetta was probably my favorite out of the meal with pesto, tomato salsa, crushed pickles olives and garlic butter dips. The ravioli was a bit dry but had a nice filling. The penne pasta is what dropped my rating. It was very bland, tasteless, as if I was eating just plain boiled pasta with no salt. The mushrooms and soy chunks in it had slight flavor. Overall for the great reviews it's got on Google, didn't think the food was up to the mark.

Good location. No parking though only street parking. Place was cosy. On the food. We ordered few starters such as the General TSO cauliflower (it was good), Bruschetta ( it was also good), Vegan nacho cheese ( I felt the dip was bland once you get past the above cover). Then in entree's we ordered Cilantro peanut stir fry (I will be direct it was not good taste was pretty bland), Mac and cheese (I felt it was overall good but some part of cheese was bitter and an grainy), black bean and sweet potato quesdilla (were good and the salsa and the avocado dip elevated the taste).

Seva is a great place for some vegetarian and vegan eats! They’ve been around forever, and I feel like they’re one of the less talked about places, but it’s always good when we go. Normally I don’t get salad, but I’m glad I did this time. They were very good. The Caesar is good, but a bit too tangy for my taste, I prefer a creamier dressing. The Chargrilled Vegetable Salad was very good, and the flavor of all the roasted vegetables was amazing. I would definitely get that again. Drinks were very good as well, and pretty large. Love the nice mix of options Seva offers. Almost every dish can be made vegan, and there are many gluten free options. Friendly service and food never takes very long.

Everything was delicious and so many vegan options 😋 I expected a spicy surprise from one of the peppers but it didn't come, thankfully 😅 Was impressed by the brat for having such an interesting take on Banh Mi, highly recommend it! The wait time can be tedious though compared to their Ann Arbor location, so prepare to wait at least 20 minutes for entrees, but the staff is so friendly and checks regularly!

08.26.2023 I’m not vegan but this place is a must on my list every time I come to Detroit. The service is great and the food is amazing!!! You have the try the General Tso’s cauliflower 😋😋; not over cooked and seasoned perfectly.

First time here. Quiet and very cold Saturday morning in Detroit so not many people out and about. We ordered the pumpkin lasagne, potato and kale soup and a grilled veggie bowl. Service and food were absolutely and delightfully perfect. We will be back to sit outside in their garden area!

A visit to Seva Detroit is a MUST! The food is aesthetically pleasing and masterful flavorful. We enjoyed the Brushetta platter as an appetizer, the Chargrilled Vegetable Bowl and Pumpkin Lasagna as our entrees, the Pistachio Cake and German Chocolate Cake for our desserts, and the Ginger Elixir and Hot Chocolate to warm up from the Kwanzaa activities downtown prior to our visit. EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING was PHENOMENAL! The Pumpkin Lasagna included the balsamic-glazed brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection. The hot chocolate, made with oat milk (almond and another option was available), warmed my soul and taste buds. I did ask for additional chocolate syrup (which they make in house) because I like my chocolate dark. We wrapped up dinner with both the Pistachio Cake and German Chocolate Cake for our desserts. Although both were light and fluffy, the warmth and flavor of the Pistachio Cake drizzled with the raspberry sauce edged out the German Chocolate for the WIN! So, it is a must if you visit. Our service was superb! Brandon was engaging, delightful, attentive, and an expert in his menu recommendations. Ask for Brandon if you want high quality customer service! The other staff were also friendly and helpful. The restroom (and restaurant), in general, could use a face lift. Also beware of the GPS, it will place you in an alley on the other side of the restaurant. It is recommended to park (paid meter parking) and enter Seva Detroit off of Forest Avenue. Yet, OVERALL, the food and service makes this one for the books! Hats off the CHEF, management, and staff! ENJOY!!!

4 stars only because of our waiter. Otherwise it would be 5. He was pretty intentions and not super friendly. I had to go looking for silverware and napkins when our food came. He never brought us refills, etc. My husband had the vegan club. He liked it but would have liked the option of it being vegetarian (cheese). I had the Reuben and thought it was great. I was afraid it would be overloaded with sauerkraut and dressing, but it wasn't at all. The kids loved their coneys and grilled cheeses. Fries were awesome. So glad to see more family friendly vegetarian options!! ❣️❣️❣️

First time, We have Gluten and Dairy Allergies in our Party. We were able to ask for the GF Menu and order off there. We had the Lemonade, Nachos, Jambalaya , General Taos, Chili Cheese Fry's and the French dip.

  • 3/5 Loni W. 2 years ago on Google
The staff was good. Unfortunately the menu is limited for anyone with a tomato allergy. If it means they batch recipes and can not remove so you have to pick something like a sandwich with out tomato on it. That reduced the stars. The atmosphere is great outdoor seating wise and staff but the menu no thanks.

Seva is my GO - TO restaurant hands down. Being a vegan it's so hard to find great vegan comfort food but Seva hits the spot. The milkshakes are amazing, the appetizers are wonderful (I recommend trying the Bruschetta) and my favorite comfort meal overall is the vegan jambalaya with a side of chili cheese fries.

It was a beautiful day in Detroit and after I finished my meeting. I was hungry and knew I wanted something full of flavor and delicious. I thought of Seva’s. Although vegetarian it really doesn’t matter because they really do take their time and use the best ingredients. I ordered the red lentil soup and fish sandwich made from marinated tofu in a home spice blend. The hostess, Brandon was very polite when sitting me in the outside dining area. He knew I wanted to sit in the sun. My waitress, Bree was so sweet and informative. She answered all of my questions and I was happy with her suggestion of soup and sandwich🥰 Keeping it 💯 the Long Beach was not satisfying 😎 My mom and I along with my son, Khalil Elisha. The food is amazing so I had to take my mom while she was visiting 😘

This is a cute, tucked away vegan restaurant. The food was very, delicious. It has to be because it was quite close to 50 minutes before our food got delivered that day, which was extremely slow and, as far as I could see, no reason. There was no one there. While we're waiting, another table was sat and I heard the gentlemen tell them their server, which was also ours, would be with them shortly. She was out putting money in her meter for the car. What the heck! I stopped him on his way by and asked if he could check on our food. He said, "I'm not your server." Again, what the heck! As a former server myself, we do these things. Let me repeat: An hour waiting for food is unacceptable. Frankly, through the meal I don't think the waitress was with it. Had to ask and wait and wait for everything. The food. So good so that's why we'll return. I tried the pumpkin lasagna. It's not vegan, but still healthy. Exploded with flavor on each bite. Not so great as a leftover so eat it all there. They're tiny portions so shouldn't be a problem. My son had a vegan Reuben. It's made with tofu and I honestly loved it (parents, always taste testing their little ones food no matter their age.) With the fries, he ordered a side of Yam Yam sauce. Get that sauce, it's wonderful. All in all, love the food. Love the quaint environment. Loved my dinner companion. It's a go if you're looking for a nice vegan restaurant with a few non-vegan options.

Good international vegetarian restaurant close to Wayne State University. There are plenty of street and parking facilities available close by, but restaurant itself doesn't have any parking facility. I went for Pad Thai & Soup, both were delicious and in sufficient portion. The price was also moderate.

My very first time eating at Seva on Th, 10.28.2021 I ordered the Vegan Mac that came with vegan garlic bread + the Beyond Burger w/fries and vegan ranch on the side. They have a variety of menu items so it was hard to choose. Each dish is at least $13-$14 and up. The vegan mac was a nice portion size. It wasn't my favorite but I ate it. It reminded me more of soup, taste wise, than mac-n-cheeze. The garlic bread was delicious, yet it was extra crunchy; that made it hard for me to chew. The Beyond Burger was great! I wish the pickle that came with it was bigger. I was disappointed that my fries were not warm nor hot when I received them. I just ate them because I was hungry. I love the pretzel bun & the vegan ranch is top tier!

We were impressed by most of what we tried. The General Tso's was excellent as other reviewers mentioned as were the yam fries (get the chipotle mayo!). Also, very impressive was the jambalaya, which was not something I expected to translate to vegan as well as it did!

They do Sunday brunch in the Covid-19 era right. The patio seating was fabulous. Tables were distanced and staff were properly wearing masks. I love the extensive drink menu (alcoholic and non alcoholic). Vegetarian, vegans, and meat eaters alike will like it here. I highly recommend the Bruschetta!

I’ve ordered here a few times since the pandemic and every time the food and service has been ahhhhmazing. Staff had been so friendly and communicative and food is always better than my expectations. Tip these folks generously not only because they’re working in the pandemic, but because they rock. Highly recommend the general Tsos cauliflower ❤️

We stopped here for dinner after a day at the museum because we wanted to try out a vegan/vegetarian restaurant and everything was incredible. I am also gluten free so finding good food when we're out can be challenging at times. The General Tso's cauliflower & key lime pie were amazing. Would definitely recommend. My only wish is that they were in Indy too.

Food is good. Bar staff is great. Front staff seems over-worked and stressed. If you’re there for a pickup order, don’t stand in the front waiting for 10 minutes for someone to say something to you. Go back to the bar where you’re supposed to go for carryout pickup. Take this review as the sign that should be by the front door but isn’t.
