I honestly did not know what to expect when 2 people from my work took me here. It has no frills. I actually respect that. The dish I had, while it looked a little more boring, was full of great flavor. It too had no frills. The tea was excellent and well balanced. I appreciated having additional pepper sauce at the table which helped bring my sweeter dish to its edge. I can understand how this place also reflects Eastern Market, its location. It is humble and definitely worth another go....especially since the prices are low.

Ordered 2 orders of F2 with chicken which is the basil fried rice with chicken. Rice was crunchy so I brought it back when they told me they would remake it. Instead they refried the same crunchy rice in which it came out crunchy… yet again. Flavor was good but rice was undercooked. Second time this has happened. Sala Thai location in Sterling Heights is better

I’ve only tried pat Thai and fried rice because they are excellent!!! I always tell myself I need to try other dishes, but I always end up ordering the same thing😅 These dishes are not greasy at all, and very flavorful. Portion is generous, too.

So happy to see they are open again. My go to place for Curry Puffs. But for some reason, I didn't remember the "Cash Only" sign. 😅 Fortunately, they have an in-house ATM. 😁

I've been eating here for 15 years and they are still as good possibly better than when I first had it. When I could finally hold food down this was the first thing my daughter had when she was in my belly. The prices have gone up understandably but they're worth every penny. They've finally stop asking me if I'm sure I want it Extra Hot...I love it spicy!!! Hands down still the best Thai I've had.

Despite the restaurant area being closed, the waiting area was nice and cozy. The cashier was extremely patient and polite, with a great sense of humor. Their credit card machine was down but they had an ATM inside which was very helpful. I had a very pleasant experience.

Has an atm, is cash only. Eat in not possible, but the food was incredibly tasty. Spice level was good, nice sized portions as well. I can't wait to come back when in-person dining is open! It looks like a cool place.

Love the food and the prices are great. The #2 and #11 are great vegan options. I also love the #14 with just the imitation crab for vegan option as well. My only complaint is sometimes I call and can't get through for 10 minutes. I know they are understaffed and get busy though.

This place is great! Their red curry dishes are amazing, beware of the spice level you order! The pad Thai noodles are great too! Pro tip: add red curry sauce to the noodles! The staff is friendly and attentive. And when you walk in for the first time, turn left to the dining area.

The food here is always amazing! It's my favorite place for Thai food in all of southwest Michigan and one of my favorite sushi spots. The service is spotty though and usually I have to ask several times for things like refills or reminders for tea. The servers are never rude though and we're always very happy with the food.

One of my favorite places for great Thai food! Been for lunch and for dinner and never a wait. I've also ordered take out from them and it was great as well. Beware of the heat level of what you order and it goes vary sometimes. I think they have one of the best Tom Ka soup I've ever had and love that neat little Thai food health chart (pictured) of back of the menu.

Quaint, homey location in Eastern Market. They have gated parking and are next to a fire station right off Russell street. Ordered our food hot and it was HOT. Lol ! But oh so very delicious! I couldn’t imagine it “Hotter” or “On fire” (the other levels of spice available) Server was pleasant and always available. Also ordered a Thai iced tea which was very yummy ! Forgot to take a pic until it was too late and almost gone. Highly recommend!

The food was not tasty. Asked for shrimp fried rice burnt was given seafood such as scallops. The rice tasted warmed over and not fresh

This is my favorite Thai restaurant of all time. I mean even til today I cannot find a place with food as good as theirs! Their plum sauce is awesome I love to even pour it over my F1 and the fried chicken is great there too! They make the best Thai food hands down have been going here for years and I will drive the distance just for some good ol sala Thai! in eastern market though! Still my favorite spot! F1 medium spice with chicken or shrimp and scallops my favorite. The A4 is great, I love the spring rolls. And I’m sorry but not sorry this is the best Thai I’ve had. The plum sauce is delish and doesn’t taste like vinegar like a lot of other places. Very friendly and helpful they know me and my husband we come so often.
