My first time visiting was in 2016, came back again today. The food is consistently delicious. The fried chicken and corn pancakes are delicious. Definitely recommend. Shrimp and grits were great as well.

Ok… this is a long review.. Short version: great food, great people, great atmosphere, and sometimes a longer wait, but always worth it. Long version: so I have been coming here since 2017, and we are always so excited to come and enjoy the food and atmosphere.. my wife and I will always come here when we are in Detroit. It’s fun to see how they have done little things to the place over the years. The service is always friendly, and the food is the best in Michigan. This is not fast food and therefore you will probably wait, but if you have the time, you will not regret eating here.

We came from North Carolina and weren’t expecting such delicious food from Detroit but Le Petit Dejeuner showed us different! The fried chicken was the best and the sweet potato pancakes were great! Monica, our server gave us great service! Highly recommend!

Such a great experience. Friendly service with plenty of food to eat. the waffles were buttery tasting delicious, Shrimp and grits were amazing my advice to you taste the grits before adding any salt pepper or sugar. I enjoyed the food so much I went back twice in the same week. I wish the ladies restroom had paper towel to dry your hands

Great food and service as a first timer! The catfish, shrimp and grits were mouthwatering good. Mimosas on point too. I enjoyed the family vibe of the team. Felt like I was talking to my cousins. Will certainly return for another visit soon.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Food was great! Great concept of family style. Seasoned well, presented well, good portions, simple menu. Shout out to the chef and the floor staff. Professional, great atmosphere and entertainment. Wait was long (about 20-25 min) wait, but it was well worth it. COVID rules were followed on the dining area. Children friendly for strollers, etc. Warm atmosphere and best of all BLACK OWNED.

This was my first and last time dining at this restaurant, The servers were 10 year old and the adult servers were not available, they gave you plastic ware for drinks and eating. They add a 25% gratuity to your bill and serve was terrible, they didn’t even have orange juice. We also arrived at 12:30 and we didn’t get served until 2:10. The food I would give it a C+. I never have to come to this restaurant again.

The food is so delicious!! We really enjoyed Chef Rachel and the rest of the staff. We tried the chicken and waffles, maple bacon, caramelized French toast, sweet potatoes with chives, and veggie omelet. Everything was so good!! I will be back!!

Don't come hungry. This was the worst dining experience of my life, which is so sad for a locally owned business. Four of us ordered six items (as the restaurant serves family style). We were told 3 of the 6 items were not available. After we waited 2 HOURS for our food, it turned out another item was not available so we only got 5/6 things and the vegan in our group was left with one option even though their menu has a list of vegan options. We never got refills of water or coffee. No napkins in sight the whole time. We were never even given silverware so we had to eat with our hands and the spoons from our coffees. The bathroom stalls were falling apart. There was trash on the floor of the dining room and dead flies on the windowsill next to our table. This place needs a complete overhaul. The food was good but not good enough to ever bring me back to this place.

The food at this Black owned breakfast restaurant is simply delicious. I ordered the living Single and selected the fried chicken which was fried to perfection finished with a honey drizzle, strawberry cream Waffle and potatoes , onions and bell peppers . This is a family style dinning experience that’s caters to the needs of the number of people apart of your dinning party. Allowing you the ability to have shareable delicious breakfast items with the ones you love. I would highly recommend this place and I will be back. The safe are friendly and very welcoming! If you are looking for an intimate breakfast experience located in the heart of Downtown Detroit Le Petit Dejeuner is the place for you.

The food was actually very tasty but the atmosphere is not the cleanest. It’s such a waste and so sad. My family and I always try to eat locally to support our city. Took too long to be acknowledged and seated. Than an even longer wait to take our order. They have one server who is doing her best to keep the place a float but it’s not efficient. The place is very run down and dirty. When we finally got our food we couldn’t eat in peace because we were constantly surrounded by flies. Personally feel it’s overpriced and didn’t even get refills for anything. This place needs some major help. I feel bad for the employees but I don’t want to even know what that kitchen looks like. 😭 It’s such a waste.

Absolutely amazing! Great service and delicious food. The prices are affordable as well. I treated myself to a solo brunch date and I’m so happy I chose this place over anyplace else. I recommend the Rum Punch and the croissant French toast !!

Do NOT COME ON AN EMPTY STOMACH! EAT A SNACK Prior to arrival.! You will wait a min of 30 mins. to get in and another 30+ mins to eat after placing your order , however the food is amazing so I'm satisfied . Nice atmosphere , live jazz , and the waitress I had was friendly . 4 out of 5 stars only because of the wait

Amazing family style breakfast spot concept! Food is well seasoned and the staff is so nice! Their hostess was a ball of energy and so fun! Our waitress Darby was very knowledgeable about the menu and overall very attentive. I loved my experience there and would recommend to anyone in the Detroit area!

The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. The sweet potato pancakes and chicken wings were exceptionally delicious! Our server Monica was on point with her suggestions and assistance. It was great since we are visitors from another state. I will definitely return and dine here again!

I noticed this place is always busy. You should try to book online or call ahead before you come. While it did take a while to be seated, I came prepared for that because of other reviews and Google itself saying it is extremely busy during the time I wanted to eat. The staff was really nice and put me on the wait list. When they called I asked if they could wait 5min for me to walk back and they accommodated. I ordered a breakfast of sweet corn pancakes, grits, chicken sausage, and coffee. Everything came out fresh and hot. I enjoyed all the food. 💯 The lady serving was really nice and checked on me an appropriate amount of times. Some places it’s too much, here it was perfect. There was live music and the bustle of family and friends made it feel inviting to be there. I hope to go back with more people sometime. I like the concept of being a family style serving where the plates are passed like you’re at home, but without the work. 😁 It’s also special to be able to support a black and women owned business! Keep up the good work!

Definitely will return back to this location. Definitely advise other to get there early. Food came out made to order but the wait wasn’t long at all. Staff was great as well. Wish they had more staff to help them with minor things but overall our breakfast date experience was awesome...

Went this morning and were the first customers in to be seated and served. They were actually cleaning/straightening up as we were being seated and it was cold that even the staff thought so and still had their jackets on. I really came for the Catfish and salmon Croquettes which they had neither of so i was left with the shrimp n grits because i only eat fish & seafood/no other meats. They serve their food in family style portions to be shared and you order how ever many different ones you'd like and we settled on the Pick 5...not sure if that's correct name. We ordered chicken n waffles(2 items), shrimp and grits(2 items), fried potatoes w/peppers and onions(1 items), + a side order of black bean veggie sausages. Food was all Tasty, only issue was that the food did not come out at the same time! We received the potatoes, waffles and veggie sausages at least 10-15 minutes prior to receiving our piping hot chicken and shrimp and grits! And our waitress never mentioned any drink offers 🙄 which may have been partially my fault because I asked for coffee so quickly because it was so cold inside of the restaurant almost as if they may have just arrived prior to opening and the place had not been cleaned and warmed up too long prior. It fills up fast and seating appears to be somewhat limited but plenty of potential if there is some upgrades on the decor(windows needed cleaning and interior could use a more adequate painting) but overall this could be a Lovely place to come to. Like i said we did not get a chance to try any of their drinks and the live music guy was having issues with his setup so hope that went well. May be worth a revisit on the right day to this Black Owned restaurant✊️ p.s. you might wanna pay with cash because there was a nice wait after our card was taken to pay the bill to the point that we had to ask the other waitress if she could see if there was an issue which we were told that there was an issue with their system and they apologized for the wait time. Give it a try and you may just find your new spot👍

Cold Sunday morning and headed to The D in search of Bloody Mary's and brunch, 1st stop, Vivio's. A coupled of GREAT Bloody Mary's with crazy toppings and we end up at Le Petit. (Call on your way there for parties < 6 so they will put you in line in advance of your arrival) Very unusual brunch hub but the place was packed at 12:30, waited 30 min. or so for our table sat down to enjoy mimosa's by the pitcher and GREAT music. Do not stop in if you are in a rush and expect breakfast time of 45-60 minutes once your order is placed. Well into our 2nd pitcher of mimosa's breakfast arrived, DAMN, all of it was so good! BEST sausage patties I've ever had, tasty fried chicken (wings) and divine crepes. It's a cultural experience that reminds me of lunch only houses in the south, specifically Florence, SC. ALSO: Please remember to tip the music man (Love Lamone??) He's there to entertain you.

Best crepes I have ever had! Sweet potatoes were awesome as well. Came to detroit on a anniversary weekend, stumbled upon this place and it is a must visit for breakfast! *** make reservations though, they get busy quick and not a big place or order take out ***

If you like breakfast then this is the place to be. The food is delicious and portion size is just right for cleaning your plate. The sweet potato pancakes are my favorite. We ordered an omelette, maple bacon, potatoes with green peppers and onions, sweet potatoes and chives and sweet potato pancakes. Everything was delicious and our server was wonderful. Repeat customer. :-)
