Gorgeous repurpose of an old abandoned shipyard. A beautiful addition to the Detroit Riverwalk!! During the winter time, there is a weekend special event from December through February!! Very clean and beautiful glasshouse gathering space with great restaurant selection foods and a bar. Outside seating features giant fire pits. Bring a friend, a date, or the whole family. The vibe is welcoming to all!

The planned events like Fire and Ice festival or the Lunar New Year/winter around the world Fest are worthwhile. They even set up a hill for sledding and supply some circle sleds (though feel free to bring your own if you don't want to wait for a turn). A large structure on Chene has restrooms and often food available. It's clean and well-lit. My elementary school kids have had fun coming here for a couple years now. If you're a local or in the area, it's a nice spot to chill for a bit. There is a huge sand area to play in and a few play sheds with rope bridges and climbers. Note the "beach" is on the Detroit River, but there is no water access due to the retaining wall. The river isn't really safe anyway for leisure swimming with kids, unless you're at a calmer spot like Belle Isle Beach. There's a free parking lot next door at Chene and Guoin. If that's full, there's a huge one across Chene (it was free when we've gone) that is also used for shows at the Aretha.

Excellent venue for whatever is going on no matter the season. I was recently there for the Fire and Ice Festival, and while it was cold, with all the bonfires, everyone was staying nice and warm. (Cocktails helped too) Parking can be tricky, but there is plenty of it, and all safe!

I really love this park. USA Today voted the Detroit river walk the nicest in the US, and RCV Park is a large reason for that. It’s incredibly well maintained, well-lit at night, and has some great features. There’s a small bar right on the river, a couple of great restaurants, and picnic tables with grills. They also frequently have events at the park. In the winter there were fires going with s’mores and ice sculptures. There is live music pretty often, and it’s an overall great space for families. I’m looking forward to having friends out here for a cookout and volleyball this summer!

Nice park and activities. I was there for the running shoe give away sponsored by We Run 313 and everyone got some shoes. Great job by the organizers at an excellent venue.

Right at the Detroit Riverfront. Beautiful and safe location to relax and enjoy with family. Winter sledding (free sleds provided). Geisha Girl, Smoky G and bar available inside heated shed. Walls go up in the summer time. Several fire pits in the winter to sit around outdoors. Games and activities throughout the seasons. Right next door to the Aretha Amphitheater and several other venues and restaurants nearby. Parking could be better. Construction is going currently in one of the large lots. Security patrols during hours of operation.

A great place for couples, family, children or by your self to relax and enjoy the sound of the water or music from a concert at the amphitheater. Grab some Libations w, sushi or BBQ and chill.

There's always some free family fun all year around. There's food, drinks, and a clean bathroom as well. Not to mention it's right at the river. What more could you ask for

Just on the outside ...nice vibe at the restaurant. Has an fire gathering area to keep warm during colder times. Also the music is danced based & my legs moved like the wind. Haven't tried the food yet but, the ambiance is second to none in my opinion.

I have utilized this park twice as an alternative work space. Loved it, except for the bees. They can make your time unbearable. The breakfast sandwich was excellent and the cocktails are dangerous. One hitta quittas.

Very nice pace to go walking. To enjoy looking at Canada for across Michigan. The music tht they play is very nice mellow old school. Great to get together with friends and family. Two step if you like because the music out is just that good

This is my new favorite chill spot! I truly love it! It's got great seating for picnics, a fun popup dining place with some incredible options (that bento box was so good and that bbq place also really good, that they have at the time of this post) ... The place also serves as a reception hall for events. There is a cool playground for kids and that just makes it amazing. You can also get greta angles of the Detroit Skyline from the bridge there! Highly recommend!

Parking scam. Mardi Gras event was fun, but they don't make it clear where to park. Got a $45 parking ticket to a "free" event because I parked by a burned out building along with a line of other cars. The parking authority knows these events are going on and they prey on people.

Fire and ice festival was fun. Had different game options and fun, upbeat music. Could definitely use a few more fire pits towards the back of the game area.

The riverfront expansion continues. Not only is there a covered area for families but also grills. The pavilion has a bar tended by the folks from Atwater but no booze past a certain point. Playground is clean and modern, in the winter there's a sled shed with free sleds for the kids to use. Great spot to bring the kids and can't wait to return in the spring.

Very fun little park right off the river walk. My husband and I were able to grab a beer and sit and watch our kids play on the beach playground. They loved the mix of playing in the sand and on the playground equipment. We will definitely be back in the future!

I had a great visit with my 4 year old. He played with other kids the sand, climbed the ropes, and his in the towers. The location is a nice way to expose him to the exciting city in Detroit river, and is also more interesting than a typical playground for the dad ;)

ABSOLUTELY the most Wonderful spot in early morning hours for a quiet moment or a good book read. The BBQ and Sushi restaurant has pretty good food. In the afternoons and Evenings the in house bar hosts a DJ and can be a bit lively on summer weekends.

We go here all the time especially when we have our granddaughter with us she loves to play on the playground. The music in the side the food venue is good too and the food's good too. We've never had a problem there

It was nice , very peaceful and some food options here. My biggest complaint was the amount of sand. It was an extremely sunny plus windy day so most seats where full when I went. The security guard was very nice in assisting us with the table umbrella ( I almost broke it). Pros - by the water , spacious seating. Cons - not enough close free parking , sand can be problematic when windy.

One of the best parks in the city. Great for the entire family, kids can play in the sand and the play volleyball. Adults can relax and have a drink at the bar on on the Barge.

Great beach park with plenty of space for the whole family! Ample seating (chairs and picnic benches), grills, volleyball court, tons of areas for the kids to play and also features some fun kid-friendly musical instruments! Highly recommended for the whole family!

A first for me. I have to say it was really nice. It wasn't crowded when I went which was a Sunday. The weather was nice up to a point. A nice little place to hang out for food, fun, drinks, and beautiful view. I don't know if the seafood truck is always there but they have really good food. The price hurt my feelings but understandable for seafood and the times. Plus I had to get the Lobster. It was worth it me though. Love their Strawberry Lemonade too! I also had a drink at the bar they have there wasn't crazy about that. It was like lightly flavored water to me. The view was beautiful unfortunately, I didn't get a pic before the weather started to turn. Busy enjoying my food and conversation with my Auntie. They even have like a sand beach spot where you can play volleyball which is cool. So it's family friendly and would be a great place to take pictures by the water on a nice day. If you haven't yet check it out. πŸ˜‰

Nice, there's 3 menus for food, u fortunately the other restaurant was closed inside when we got there. Good spot to get away from the house and enjoy. Did I mention there's a bar?? Yes the drinks are worth buying.

An absolute gem in Detroit. Do yourself a favor and visit as soon as possible. They have 2 restaurants (sushi and barbecue) as well as a bar. Outside they have fire pits, areas for kids to hang out and even mini curling stations. All in all a great place to visit with the family or even for a date night. Love it
