One of the BEST overall experiences I have had at the 50+ escape rooms I have played in Europe! The room had a variety of puzzles many of which I have never seen. The ambiance we fantastic and story very unique and reflective of the history of the area. Perfect for a group or pair of experienced players. But game moderators are experienced and I’m sure could help those new to escape rooms. They were excellent at knowing when/if and how to provide assistance without giving away too much information. We are non-German speakers and had no issues as the game and owners were fluent. I highly recommend this game to anyone and can’t wait to return to play the second game soon.

Awesome. Went with two of my friends and we had a great time. The staff was extremely friendly all the way through and it was all available in English so we didn’t have to worry about a language issue. The room was also awesome and had some really cool and unexpected effects. We were able to complete the room by some miracle and I would definitely do it again whenever we regain our mental strength

KeyTown is amazing! If you’re thinking of going, DO IT! My husband and I have done three rooms there and they are all amazing. BUT if you want a room unlike any other escape room you have ever done, book the Christmas Dream. You will not be disappointed.

Matthias was so friendly and helpful with scheduling an escape room event for a large group that I was hosting for a conference. He ran three rooms simultaneously for us and all three groups had so much fun. It was the most positive feedback I heard after the conference, thank you Matthias and I highly recommend KeyTown for group/team building events!

Love this escape room company! We have returned several times to finish all there rooms. Looking forward to their next room they are currently developing. The owners are soooo creative! The puzzles are amazing and they use technology in such great ways. Plus the owner also rents out escape boxes for you to complete at home. We have a party at the house in a couple weeks and can’t wait to complete to complete it. Absolutely amazing companies…definitely recommend you go! You won’t regret it!

My group went through two of their rooms, and they were both amazing! The level of detail the creators go into building each room is incredible. Plus, the couple that owns this business are so friendly and fun to talk to. If I’m ever in the area, and they have a new room I haven’t done—I’m booking it immediately! UPDATE (18 Mar ‘23): KeyTown created a new room and my partner went back with another friend couple. We did the Christmas Room Dream, and it was AWESOME! This room was a “loop concept room”—one where you progress is periodically reset, think Groundhog Day. I absolutely loved this. My partner and I have done about 26 escape rooms together, and KeyTown clearly distinguishes themselves as some of the best rooms we’ve played through.

KeyTown is just awesome! The rooms are all wonderfully designed and the puzzles are uniquely clever. My friends and I try to do escape rooms in every city we go to and I can honestly say that KeyTown is among the best. The owners are very passionate about puzzles and it translates to how well the rooms are designed! They also have an option to rent an escape box which can be completed at home! I have done all of the rooms they offer and the dentist ones are my favorite. I look forward to their upcoming rooms and will definitely go!

This was a COMPLETE experience. The owners are passionate and thorough. They take you through the whole scenario, dressed up in costume, gave clues to my German/American family in both languages, and let us finish the room when we surpassed 60 minutes. They even took the time to explain the puzzles/clues we didn't understand when we finished. Best escape room my family has done.

We did two different rooms over this last weekend, and they were both fantastic. The owner seems to really love what he does, and his enjoyment is contagious for anybody who visits. The rooms were well worth the price, and the puzzles were far beyond a simple lock and key or finding a single password. Just when you think you know what comes next, you will be surprised with something new. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!

With a group of six fairly puzzle-experienced adults we booked the "Save the World!" experience in English, and then also rented the "Magic Puzzle Table" for a day. Both were really excellent. My brother and his wife were visiting from Canada, along with two of their old friends, and we wanted to do something cool with them. We were not disappointed. The on-site escape room "Save the World!" scenario was funny enough not to be too stressful, but it had several really eye-opening moments, with creative puzzles and surprising special effects. It was quite challenging; we needed everyone working on different parts of the problems. I can really recommend the "Puzzle Table". If you know the iOS games in the series "The Room", then this is a lot like that except not just in virtual reality. Our enlarged group of nine was absorbed for almost four hours on this thing, which has a lot of tricky features packed into one nice wooden box. If there were more of these things I would happily do one every weekend. KeyTown is made and run by native speakers of German but as a native English speaker living in Kaiserslautern I can attest that the English version is excellent. If you like puzzles then it's worth going out of your way to try KeyTown. I don't know where they got all these ideas.
