I spontaneously took a turn to stretch my legs. The area is really beautiful for walking, hiking or cycling. The castle has a very large property. It is mostly in private hands. This means you can only examine the beautiful property from the outside. A kindergarten is also integrated. It was rebuilt so it was really nice. Here you can dream and enjoy nature or read a book in peace... The nearby stream with its path invites you to take a walk. Unfortunately there was no information whether there were guided tours.

The castle can be clearly seen from the volcano cycle path. A detour uphill is worth it. The building is well preserved and is partly being renovated.

Stopped for a short break. It's quick to get around the private castle. It's quite fascinating.

Beautiful fortified castle dating from 1217! Well kept and, despite the fact that the castle itself is not open to visitors, the grounds and park, guarded over by the impressive buildings, are stunning and well worth a visit.

Will e.g. Currently renovated. I don't know if it's possible to see the inside afterwards. So all that remained was the view of the inner courtyard and of course the outside view. 😉

Really cool place to take your friends from other countries if you want a tourist free experience, just a nice castle to look at, with a tasty restaurant next to it. The hike there from Lauterbach is half the experience though. So wouldn't recommend just driving there.

The palace is not open for public, but the garden around can be visited by tourists. The nature around is very beautiful. Very suitable for a short trip on the weekend.

It's not open to visitors but you can look around the outside and inner court. It's a very interesting place.
