Don't say you know what a burger is if you haven't tried this one. Yes, you would needs to wait about 10 minutes before they hand the order, but it is really worth the waiting time. I usually drive from Düsseldorf to Essen only for five-guys burger 🍔. Moreover, do not forget to order fries (deep-fried twice in peanut oil 🥜), only one is enough for a group of 3 if each has his own burger, because they always puts extra fries 🍟....

Best fast-food burger place ever!!! Starting from the ordering, till the time you leave, the service is awesome. They have numerous additions (i.e. salads, tomatoes, mayonnaise etc.) to the burger without any extra cost. They serve free peanuts while you're waiting for your order, which is usually 10 minutes. If you order a drink, you'll get unlimited refills! And best of all, they have free ketchup for your chips, which is very rare to find in German restaurants where you have to pay for them. We went there close to their closing time, and they gave us a huge bag of fresh potato chips for free, because they didn't want to throw them away!

The food is good but overpriced. For 4 cheese burgers, two regular fries and two drinks we paid 64 euros! Cleanliness needs more attention.

It's a five guys there isn't much different from this location compared to that it's in a mall. I decided to go with the double cheeseburger with bacon all the way and it was 👌. Cooked perfectly with all the deliciousness. Give this place a try especially if you haven't had five guys and you won't regret it.

Been there twice now. First time was perfect. but the second time the onions were so many and way too spicy that I couldn't eat them at all. Unfortunately there was way too little BBQ sauce so my burger turned out a little dry. I'd recommend adding at least 2-3 sauces on it and have them fry your onions.

Was pretty good. Order the normal fries instead of the Cajun fries are way too salty. The burgers are incredible!

Two is company, three's a crowd, five is a disaster. The burgers aren't anything special and the service is similar to other burger joints.

The food was okay. The patty probably have been a bit too long in the heat for my taste. I missed the option to combine a menu with a drink. Without, the prices are really high. However, I enjoyed the free refill of drinks and sauces. Generally the taste was good. Not much choices on the menu made it probably even taste better. Most probably I would love to come again.

Nice place and what’s a great bonus is that it’s the only place working late on Saturday:) thank you guys! The food was really good! Especially milkshakes and pommes:) the place was dirty but it was late so understandable! Prices are fine, so yeah definitely recommend!

Maybe I came to a better time but this branch delivered my food within what felt like seconds. I had the feeling my patties were a tad dryer this time but that crispy bacon and everything else was on spot. The fries were crisp and I finally had a few hours at their soda juke box but. Compared to the kids I played it classic and safe and kept away from mezzo mix peach and such. Burner was my milkshake though...I had to take a little walk after my dinner first but then ordered a malted chocolate milkshake with salted caramel and bacon for the way home and it was off tha hook! I could've done with a little less bacon but a appreciated the charred saltiness they added. All in all a fast food success... Oh, the guy at the counter and the lady you passed me my burger were glorious.

Good burgers, every time. The selection is great and the taste far exceeds most other fast food burger chains you've probably heard of before. The milkshakes are really excellent but I would recommend you get a soft drink as well, they're thick and very sweet. The fries are good, they normally throw a few extra in the bag, so you don't need to order many. In this restaurant you get actual fries, rather than the lattice fries you get in the UK.

The place is in the Limbecker platz, can be a great retreat after getting some shopping in the mall. The food is 8.5/10, atmosphere and ambiance also 8.5/10. Very much kids friendly

Five Guys delivers again, as they always do! Their burgers are unmatched, the fries are nice, crunchy and always enough to share. The milkshakes are really, really good. In Essen, the restaurant is conveniently located in a shopping centre with ample place to sit and eat. The service is really quick and personnel is always friendly. I think it's the best burger restaurant in Essen.

The food was fine, but not great, even by Five Guys standards. The burger was a little overcooked and the fries weren't as crispy as I would have expected. The big issue I had was that while fully staffed and not during a big rush, it still took twenty minutes to get our food out and more than half the drink options on both machines were not available. If you are in the Limbecker Plaza and need to eat, it's a fine option. But not great, especially for the price.

One of the best fries 🍟 and burger 🍔 It's just that everything is extremely salty 🧂 A bit pricey tho, €85 for 3 people.

Great shakes!! 😋 Unfortunately, not many options in burgers for vegetarians. They have only one veg sandwich, which does not taste good 😕

This place is awesome. The food is fresh and delicious and the fries are the best! Really flavorful and generous portions. The atmosphere is fun and energetic and the employees all seem to have a good time even during busy times! It‘s great to get free refills on soda too, it feels like being in the States. My babies felt like they were back home in the States. Definetly coming back for everything and she loves the peanut butter shakes. ❤️3🐝s

It’s Five Guys, what else to write for a review. Great staff, great burgers, great shakes, and the fabulous Coke machine - all authentic Five Guys! The location and the seating options in the mall are really good. Keep growing in Germany...
